Grey’s Anatomy Season 11 Episode 14 Recap: How to Save a Life

Amelia Shepherd tried her best go to “The Distance” on  Grey’s Anatomy Season 11 Episode 14 . She operated on Dr. Herman’s tumor. Again and again and again and again. We opened the hour with Amelia crying out some anxiety in the bathroom before her voiceover told us how a surgeon must “always be prepared to lose, but never fail.” She steeled herself for the long procedure to come, taking on a superhero persona with Stephanie prior to cutting Herman open. With her colleagues watching from the gallery, Amelia quickly realized just how daunting this would be. In time, she literally froze, getting trapped inside Herman’s head, unable to move without snipping out a vital part of her brain (Editor’s Note: We could never be brain surgeons.) Panicked, Amelia pleased with Richard to get Richard on a plane. STAT. But Richard remain calm, kept Amelia calm and helped her clear the optic nerve. After Stephanie collapsed from exhaustion (around the 13-hour mark), Meredith scrubbed in and Amelia learned just how tough it was to work while wearing thick gloves to protect her from radiation. So, to Owen’s horror as you’ll see when you watch Grey’s Anatomy online , she took the gloves off, making the procedure easier… but also risking disease and cutting her exposure time in half. But she forged on and succeeded! When Stephanie woke up, Amelia let her close up the patient’s head and then sank into an emotional heap on the hallway floor. Elsewhere, Miranda was concerned over Arizona taking over the complicated case of Glenda. But Robbins stood up to Bailey, delivering the baby and saving the mother’s life. Afterward, Arizona broke down when Callie came in with an update on her mentor. Finally, with Arizona by her side, Herman awoke. She seemed like herself… except she was completely blind. Still, she made a point of telling Arizona that she was alive solely due to her persistence. She had picked the right horse and she knew it. Where will all this go next week on  Grey’s Anatomy Season 11 Episode 15 ? We’ll be tuning in to find out! 13 Unrealistic TV Shows We Love Anyway 1. Back in December, 18-year-old Raleigh-Durham native Alysa Bathrick became known as ” Cute Mug Shot Girl ” after she posted her booking photo on Twitter so that the whole world could see how totes adorbs she looked when she got busted for possession. The pic viral for two reasons: Alysa is better-looking than your average inmate,  And she hilariously responded “Xanax homie” when asked why she’d been locked up. Now, the situation has become both less cute and less funny, as Alysa has been arrested again (this time for shoplifting), and she’s reportedly been taken into custody three times in just the past 12 months. To make matters worse, her other mug shots aren’t nearly as on fleek as the one that went viral: Clearly, the attractive mug shot bubble has burst. In 2014, Alysa and “Hot Mug Shot Guy” Jeremy Meeks became overnight sensations attracting thousands of pervs offering to pay their bail and slap the cuffs right back on them. Now, Meeks has been sentenced to two years in prison , and Alysa just can’t stop getting arrested. It’s almost like attractive people are bound by the same laws as the rest of society! Chris Brown and Chrissy Teigen: Feuding on Twitter?

Yesterday, we found out that Chris Brown is a father. Shortly thereafter, we learned that Chris’ longtime girlfriend, Karrueche Tran, was “blindsided” by the news of the Breezy baby, as he knocked up Nia Amey 18 months ago , yet somehow kept the love child under wraps. It was the latest douche move in a lifetime of douchiness for Brown, and if anyone can put this D-bag in his place, it’s Chrissy Teigen. Unfortunately, she’ll never get the chance: Chrissy revealed today that Chris blocked her on Twitter, but instead of revealing why, she simply posted a sarcastic (we hope) frowny face. From there, Chrissy suffered the full wrath of Breezy biggest fans. In other news: Chris Brown fans exist, for some reason. “Oh god you’re exhausting,” Chrissy tweeted in response to all the hate. “My fault for forgetting “teams” still exist…I stopped believing you guys are really this aggro all the time and are just bored. I gotta stop giving these people attention.” So it seems that Chrissy did something to piss Chris off, and when she boasted about it (as she should) Breezy fans went into assault mode (which is their default setting). What we want to know is – what did Chrissy do? Granted, Chris loses his cool pretty easily, but she must have done something to get blocked, right? Maybe not. Maybe Brown was just anticipating that Chrissy would trash talk him for sleeping around on his devoted girlfriend, or make fun of him for naming his daughter Royalty .  We may never know. Nia Amey: Chris Brown’s Baby Mama Was FRIENDS With Karruche Tran?!

Last night, the world learned that Chris Brown is a father . That was weird enough, but as with all things Breezy, the story only gets more screwed up the deeper you look into it. First, Karrueche dumped Chris on Twitter , which seems to indicate that she was as clueless about his love child as the rest of us. Now, we know that the news came with a double-dose of WTF?! for Karrueche, as Chris’ baby mama, Nia Amey, was apparently one of K-Tran’s party pals: That’s Karrueche with her arm around Nia (the one making the duck-face) in the summer of 2013. By our calculations, Nia would’ve gotten knocked up with a Breezy baby later that same summer. We’re guessing Karrueche wouldn’t mind having this moment back. As of right now, there are few photos of Nia and Chris’ daughter , but facts about the 31-year-old former model and “video vixen” are beginning to emerge. It seems that Nia is a native Texan who has known Brown since well before he began his relationship with Karrueche. Officially, Nia and Chris were never more than “friends,” but obviously, that friendship included some benefits. Last week, Iggy Azalea released a new song, thus reminding the world that she actually makes music sometimes. This week, she’s right back to the idiotic Twitter wars. No, Iggy isn’t feuding with Azalea Banks again. (Though we’re sure round 2 of that beef that will come soon.) Instead, she’s lashing out at much more unexpected critic: Iggy Azalea: Dissed on ESPN! Suge Knight: Going BLIND Due to Lack of Medical Care?!

It’s been a rough few weeks for Suge Knight. It all started when Knight was arrested for murder following a hit and run in which a friend his was killed. Following his arraignment, Knight was rushed to the hospital and treated for massive blood clots. Last week, while back in court to plead not guilty to unrelated robbery charges (The guy’s got a lot on his plate.)  Knight was rushed to the hospital again , and this time his prognosis was even worse. Speaking on his own behalf in court today (Knight recently fired his lawyers, because apparently he doesn’t have enough to worry about.), Suge stated that doctors informed him that his various ailments are causing him to rapidly lose his eyesight. Knight claims he has not been receiving proper medical treatment since being locked up last month, and that if things don’t change, he may soon be blind. Most Knight’s health problems are lingering issues from when he  was shot six times back in August. (Did we say he’s had a rough few months? It’s more like a rough year.) So to summarize: Suge Knight is locked up, facing life behind bars, suffering from blood clots, and slowly going blind. We think it’s safe to say life’s not too sweet for Suge these days.
