Not surprisingly, she’s most effective when she combines two or more of these roles in order to better market herself or her various branded products. Which is exactly what she’s doing on Instagram these days. Kylie might be new to the retail game, but you don’t need to be Sam Walton to know that people buy a lot of stuff in the weeks leading up to Christmas. So Kylizzle has been in promotional mode, hocking those wildly popular Kylie lip kits the best way she knows how: With revealing selfies! Kylie has always shown her older sister’s knack for self-promotion, but she’s been going particularly hard in recent weeks, posting more than ever. She’s sharing sponsored content, Snapping, tweeting and generally going all-in in her efforts to make sure her products wind up under as many Christmas trees as possible. Girl is putting in work! Some have speculated that the 19-year-old might be bracing herself for the end of Keeping Up With the Kardashians .  With this new focus, she’s ensuring that she remains a household name even if the show that made her famous wraps up its run on E! Not to take anything away from Kylie’s business acumen, but we doubt she’s thinking that far ahead. In all likelihood, she’s simply taking advantage of the fact that this is the first holiday season in which she has her own line of products for sale, and companies clamoring her endorsement: Hey, at least she identifies her sponsored content as such. Anyway, not just lining her pockets with lip kit cash these days. Naturally, there has been a good deal of shock and outrage. We can only assume, however, that the people who are somehow shocked by it aren’t familiar with Richardson’s body of work. Or, for that matter, Kylie’s Instagram page. Still, you have to respect the hustle of a girl who can post racy pics online for free all day and still get people to pay for the right to hang them on their walls.
