Kurt Cobain The lead singer of Nirvana shot himself in the head at the age of 27, leaving a note that read: “Thank you all from the pit of my burning, nauseous stomach for your letters and concern during the past years. I’m too much of an erratic, moody baby! I don’t have the passion anymore, and so remember, it’s better to burn out than to fade away.” 2. Janis Joplin Janis Joplin also died at the age of 27. Officials determined that she overdosed on heroin. 3. Jimi Hendrix Yup, Jimi Hendrix was also 27 whe he died due to asphyxiation in his own vomit after he took sleeping pills. 4. Scott Weiland Scott Weiland was found dead in his tour bus in December of 2015. He passed away from cardiac arrest. 5. Andy Gibb Andy Gibb struggled with substance abuse and died of a heart ailment in 1988, just prior to his 30th birthday. 6. Jim Morrison Jim Morrison was found dead in his Paris apartment at the age of 27. No official cause was ever revealed, though most believe he died of a heroin overdose. View Slideshow
