Electric Daisy Carnival Headliners Avicii, Steve Angello Bring Mayhem To New York

‘New York City, tonight, electronic dance music won the Superbowl,’ Swedish House Mafia’s Steve Angello tells the crowd. By Nicholas Philippou Armin van Buuren at Electric Daisy Carnival New York A different breed of giants owned MetLife Stadium on Saturday during day two of New York’s inaugural Electric Daisy Carnival. Armin van Buuren, Avicii and Swedish House Mafia ‘s Steve Angello closed the day’s festivities under a sea of red, white and gold fireworks, after taking an estimated 60,000 fans for an unforgettable ride. “We put a nightclub in Giants stadium,” Angello proudly told the crowd during EDC’s closing moments. “New York City, tonight, electronic dance music won the Superbowl.” Angello reveled in the moment and called the night “historic,” after delivering a two-hour set that evolved from dark and dirty to euphoric, ending with Angello in the spotlight, arms wide open, nearly hugging the crowd during SHM’s remix of Coldplay’s “Every Teardrop Is a Waterfall.” SHM fans got their serving with classics like “Greyhound” and “One” as well as the revved-up Knife Party remix of “Save the World” that capped the night’s exhilaration. Thomas Gold was Steve Angello’s Eli Manning inside the stadium, where Size Matters took over the end zone. Gold had one of those days where it was like he couldn’t miss, from the moment he hit the stage he turned the red zone into the Gold zone for two hours. He fired off a monster set with his remix of Miike Snow’s “The Wave” and rode on a high-energy, song-switching filter-fest of songs we all love, but have never heard quite like this before. Gold played up the Police’s “Message In a Bottle,” against his track “Abart,” with Leventina’s “We’re Gonna Start,” followed up with a mash-up of “Agora” and Avicii’s “Le7els” in what was a fun, feel-good set that scratched every itch. Outside of the stadium, at the Kinetic Field, Alesso and SHM’s Sebastian Ingrosso both killed it with amazing sets, with Alesso even making a return trip to the stage when Seb cued up their smash hit, “Calling,” while the huge crowd hummed out the chorus. Ingrosso played up every element of his show, leveling the crowd with a mash-up of SHM’s “One” against Gotye’s “Somebody that I Used to Know,” while a giant eye familiar to SHM fans stared back at them, creating a definite feeling of surreal, a reoccurring sensation throughout the festivities. And a surreal experience is really what EDC is all about. It’s a costume party, a rave, a carnival, an amusement park, a concert and a madhouse in whatever direction you turn. Wherever you were, you were most definitely entertained. Were you at New York’s Electric Daisy Carnival? What did you think? Leave your comment below! My name is Bianca, I’m 17 years old and I’m a…

My name is Bianca, I’m 17 years old and I’m a belieber from Brazil. It was October 5th and I was having the best day of my life so far. It was the first time I went to Justin’s concert (I had travelled 8 hours to see him) and it was his first concert in Brazil. I was really close to the stage and I could see him  perfectly . When the concert ended, I went to my aunts house. Around 11pm I got a phone call from my friend Erika (@seniorforbieber) and she said, “Bianca, I won the  bieberfever.com  contest and WE ARE GOING TO MEET JUSTIN BIEBER AT 5pm TOMORROW”. I started crying. I seriously cried for two hours and I couldn’t sleep at all. The next afternoon, Erika and I went to the stadium where the concert was going to be. We got the meet & greet wristbands. Once we got into the stadium, we went to the meet & greet line. Around 5:30pm, we were in the same room as Justin Bieber. I saw him standing there, smiling. I walked and asked him for a hug. He hugged me, Erika and the other two girls that were with us. I was by his side, just looking at his face. I couldn’t believe that I was so close to him. He signed our shirts and we had to leave . We were with Justin for about 4 minutes. The best 4 minutes of my life by the way. T he whole experience was amazing. I went to 4 concerts, in 2 different cities, I met Justin, Scooter, Alfredo and Kenny. Now I believe more than ever, that dreams do come true.   -@bieberbraziil               See original here: My name is Bianca, I’m 17 years old and I’m a…

I’m Julia and I’m a belieber from São Paulo, Brazil….

I’m Julia and I’m a belieber from São Paulo, Brazil. It all started on August 15 th , when I discovered that  Justin was finally coming to my country. I was waiting for this moment since 2009!  I joined  bieberfever.com  and bought my tickets for “Pista Premium” which is the nearest to the stage. A few days after that, I saw the meet & greet contest. My friend and I did our best to spread the world about  bieberfever.com , but sadly, we didn’t win. We were really frustrated, but that didn’t bring us down because the next day was Justin’s concert! We were so excited. On 10/08, I went to the stadium at 6am and my friend and a friend of hers were there since midnight. W e stayed there till 2pm and it was really, really, really hot! When the stadium opened, we ran as fast as we could to get a good place. It was very crowded and hot in there. Some security guards started to give us water, and someone threw water at my camera and it wasn’t working anymore. I started to cry really hard, I couldn’t believe that was happening. Some really nice beliebers  helped me to stay calm and some minutes later, my camera started to work again! I was so happy! The Z festival started at 4 pm,  wi th  the  brazilian  band Cine. When they went off of the stage, started to rain, rain really hard. My friends and I stayed there, we wouldn’t trade our place for nothing! The rain stopped when the second band, The Wanted started to play. They were awesome! After that, it was the time of Cobra  Starship . They were awesome too!  And then.. the chronometer appeared at 8pm. Justin was finally coming to the stage. My dream was about to come true in 14 minutes. He finally started to perform and I couldn’t believe that was really happening. I WAS SO CLOSE TO HIM! It was perfect. It was the best day of my life. And, one day, I will meet him. Never Say Never, right?  Love -@justjubs See the article here: I’m Julia and I’m a belieber from São Paulo, Brazil….

On September 2nd, my mom has been emailing an amazing guy named Dave! He told us he would see if he could get us meet & greet passes for the one and only Justin Bieber for September 4th! I was anxiously awaiting. The next dayI woke up really early and turned on my phone. There was an email from Dave. I hoped it was good news! My heart dropped when I saw it said, “I will leave you 2 meet & greet passes at the will call”. I stormed into my mom’s room crying so hard that she thought someone died! She saw how happy I was and started to cry too.  I went to the arena and got my meet & greet pass! While waiting to go backstage, I became friends with these two girls! Anyways I heard Kenny call next! I turned the corner and there he was, smiling his huge perfect smile! I cried but I didn’t wanna scare him so I held it back! I said “Can I have a hug?” he said “Of course!” That was probably the best hug ever! He shook my best friend Eric’s hand and that even made me happy! Then when we went to take the picture, his fingers wrapped around my waist and my heart melted! It was sooooo hard to smile because I was holding back tears! Dave was evidently the one taking the picture and he said, “Smile Kenzie!” and Justin giggled the cutest laugh ever! After we took the picture, I gave Justin a little silly band that said “xoxo” He smiled and put it around his wrist! After we left I cried…….and cried……and cried. I called all my friends and they were screaming cause they didn’t believe I was really going to meet him! During the concert I was looking to see if he wore the bracelet. He did! This was the best Bieber experience ever! I really wish every belieber could have this  opportunity ! I love u Justin! -@kenziebieber98                                                                   See original here: On September 2nd, my mom has been emailing an amazing guy named…
