Sage Stallone Cause of Death: Heart Disease

Sage Stallone, the son of Sylvester Stallone, died of coronary artery disease, with coroner’s officials suggesting that smoking might have played a role. Coroner Chief Craig Harvey said that Sage had a history of being a heavy smoker, although family members have said the amount had diminished lately. Sage Stallone died in July at the age of 36. The coroner declared death by natural causes and the toxicology test came back “negative except for a sub-therapeutic level of hydrocodone.” The drug played no role in his death. A housekeeper found Stallone’s body. According to reports, pills were found at the residence and investigators were trying to determine their source and whether they played any role in the death. Instead, heart disease was the cause of death, and exactly what role, if any, smoking played in that is a question that may never be answered. Sylvester also lost his half-sister, Toni-Ann Filiti , this week.

Alexis Bellino: Slammed By Heather Dubrow, Leaving The Real Housewives of Orange County?

Alexis Bellino has taken a serious beating on The Real Housewives of Orange County this season, leading her to wonder whether it will be her last. On last week’s Real Housewives of Orange County reunion , the women all ganged up on Bellino for her antics and treatment of the show’s crew. “I’ve never seen anybody treat a [TV] crew the way you treat this crew,” co-star and former actress Heather Dubrow said as Andy Cohen moderated. “You speak to them like trash and they are beneath you … take a moment to look inside yourself. If everyone says you’re dead, it’s time to lie down!” Ouch. Don’t expect the bad blood to simmer down either. Dubrow added at an event later in the week that “at some point you have to know when to shut the door … and I think I’ve shut that door.” For her part, Bellino said that “[Vicki] and I are still in a lot of contact” since the season ended, but “the other girls and I … we’re not talking.” The Vicki Gunvalson-Tamra Barney feud has nothing on the group’s collective assault on Bellino, with “Phony-Gate” dominating the season. As such, Bellino claimed she’s mulling whether to return. “I don’t know at this point,” she said of coming back for RHOC’s Season 8 next year. “Honestly, I think I’ve taken a pretty good beating and I don’t know.” What do you think? Do you want to see Alexis Bellino back?

Sage Stallone Dead For at Least 3-4 Days Before Being Found, Officials Believe

Law enforcement personnel who found Sage Stallone dead he likely passed away at least 3-4 days and possibly a week before his body was discovered. Off the record, sources say Sage Stallone, the son of acting legend Sylvester Stallone who famously appeared in Rocky V , had been living like a hermit. Sage would spend days in his room , which was “littered with junk.” A source called it a “disgusting” mix of cigarette butts, beer, soda cans and food. There were also reportedly two drawers filled with various pill bottles, some of which were “huge.” No one had spoken with Sage since Friday, July 6. A housekeeper had been to his home at some point earlier this week, but had specific ongoing instructions never to enter Sage’s room and did not. The housekeeper was told to never even knock at the door for whatever reason, so it’s certainly conceivable that he was in there for several days. His mom, Sylvester Stallone’s ex-wife Sasha Czack, called the housekeeper Friday after being unable to reach him and asked her to check on him. That’s when she discovered the body. From the evidence they saw – unofficially at least – investigators believe Sage’s death was an accident. Our thoughts are with his family in the wake of this sad story.

Is Rambo Coming Back? Sylvester Stallone Is Game

‘The magma of Rambo is coming to the surface,’ he tells MTV News. By Kara Warner, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Sylvester Stallone in “Rambo II” Photo: Michael Ochs Archives/ Getty Images Any day is a good day to chat with action hero Sylvester Stallone , particularly when the topic of conversation turns from the highly anticipated “Expendables” sequel to the always-anticipated “Rambo” sequels. The last time we checked in with Stallone about the future of his famed Vietnam vet John Rambo , it seemed as though there might not be any more story to tell and that the hero needed “to stop running” and take a rest . Thanks to our recent run-in with the main man at CinemaCon, it seems as if Rambo’s rest has come to an end and we might see him rise again. “There’s a volcanic eruption [brewing]. The magma of Rambo is coming to the surface,” Stallone said when asked about his thoughts on bringing the character back to the big screen. So is there another story to tell? “I know there is,” he said definitively. “It’s one thing where you lay down the final culmination of your life where you can articulate it, but also act on it where he realizes what his destiny really is,” Stallone said, speaking for the character and how he might take a moment to reflect on his life and realize his work isn’t finished. “It’s not to be a farmer, it’s not to be obscure; it’s to go out in a blaze of glory in a heroic fashion. But is he really doing it for himself or is he doing it because that’s just his id? That’s who he is. “I like the whole Mexican situation, what’s going on down there,” Stallone continued, hinting at the film’s possible setting and building the plot around the real-life conflict in Mexico. “So I’m working on a formula for it right now.” For breaking news, celebrity columns, humor and more — updated around the clock — visit MTVMoviesBlog.com . ‘Expendables 2’ Stuntmen Involved In On-Set Accident ID’d

Following the death of one stuntman and the injury of another, the film’s production company releases a statement clarifying previous reports. By Kevin P. Sullivan Sylvester Stallone in “The Expendables” Photo: Lionsgate Nu Image/Millennium Films has identified the stuntman who died on the Bulgarian set of “The Expendables 2” on October 27. Stuntman Kun Lieu was killed in an on-set explosion . The production company behind the all-star action sequel released a statement Tuesday (November 1) clarifying previous reports and updating the status of the second stuntman injured in the explosion. The second stuntman, Nuo Sun, was also injured in the explosion and was reportedly in critical condition when reports of the accident hit late last Thursday. A new statement released by Nu/Image Millennium Films updated his status, and Sun is now in stable condition in a hospital in Munich, where he was transported to undergo treatment by specialists. The statement also corrected claims made by Bulgarian newspapers that inaccurately identified the stuntmen as the doubles for Sylvester Stallone and Jet Li and asserted that the those stuntmen were nowhere near the set at the time of the incident. The production company also reconfirmed previous reports that neither the stars nor director Simon West were present for the accident. The full statement from Nu Image/Millennium Film follows: “Our deepest condolences go to the family of Kun Lieu. His passing is tragic. Our sympathies also go to Nuo Sun, who was seriously injured as a result of the same explosion. We have been informed his condition has stabilized. He has been transported to Munich, Germany, where he is receiving top medical care from the best specialists,” the statement reads. “Regrettably, Bulgarian language newspapers have incorrectly reported that stunt doubles for Jet Li and Sylvester Stallone were involved in the accident. This is absolutely false and inaccurate. At the time of the accident neither Li’s or Stallone’s stuntmen were on or near the Second Unit set, nor were any of the film’s main actors, director Simon West or any of the Main Unit crew. “Only Second Unit filming has been temporarily suspended and will resume shortly. The filmmakers continue to work with authorities investigating this accident. Main Unit production has not been interrupted and continues as scheduled.” “Expendables 2” is scheduled to hit theaters next August and stars Stallone, Li, Jason Statham , Bruce Willis , Arnold Schwarzenegger , Chuck Norris and Jean-Claude Van Damme . Judge Dredd Remake Director Booted, Is No Longer The Law

The line “I AM the law!” might yet still be spoken in Lionsgate’s 2012 Dredd , the Karl Urban-starring remake of the gloriously cheesy Sylvester Stallone vehicle about a decorated officer wrongfully accused in a dystopian future, but it looks like director Pete Travis won’t be uttering any iteration of that forceful declaration of authority. According to the L.A. Times , Travis has been booted from the remake, which is currently in post-production, while screenwriter Alex Garland steps in to make such significant changes that he might even seek a co-director credit.

‘The Expendables’ Stars Want Justin Bieber For Sequel

Dolph Lundgren also suggests first-film holdout Jean-Claude Van Damme for the next film — as their victim. By Eric Ditzian Sylvester Stallone and Terry Crews at the New York Stock Exchange on Thursday Photo: Devan Pratt/MTV News Where does “Expendables” star Sylvester Stallone turn now, after his cinematic smorgasbord of ’80s action giants fire-bombed the competition and won the weekend box-office title ? Can you hear the collective cry of $35 million worth of ticket-buyers? They’re calling for a sequel! Sly has plans to give the people what they want — he already has a second flick plotted out in his head — but for now, he’s waiting on even greater box-office bucks and the chance to see which co-stars will return and which fresh faces he can entice to join the crew of gun-totting mercenaries. Stallone’s fellow Expendables have some strong ideas about who they want to see in a sequel. “Justin Bieber!” Terry Crews suggested to MTV News as the actors took over the New York Stock Exchange to ring the opening bell. “I want Justin Bieber! I want Justin Bieber’s ass!” Ya hear that, Bieber? Perhaps before you hop in front of the 3-D cameras for your upcoming biopic , you can hang with some old dogs like Stallone, Dolph Lundgren and Crews. Lundgren, meanwhile, has his eye on a different guy to join the second installment — one who actually turned down a part in the first flick. “I’d like to kill [Jean-Claude] Van Damme, please!” Lundgren said. “He’s hunting Van Damme down!” Stallone laughed. Added Jason Statham: “I’ll be the cut man for that!” Two guys Stallone wants to reprise their roles are Arnold Schwarzenegger and Bruce Willis. In fact, Sly revealed he’s already been in contact with them about returning for a sequel. “The main thing is to find out who’s available, who wants to be in it,” he said. “I’m talking to Arnold and Bruce [about] different schedules and other actors. Then you have to bring in some new guys, some young blood. “I haven’t had an opening like this,” Stallone added. “To me, it’s miraculous. And what sunk in finally is, in this day and age, it’s all about concept, it’s not about the actor. No one actor can open a movie anymore, so you need the help of your friends. This was a group effort. I had the biggest opening because they helped. That’s the name of the game.” Who do you want to see join the Expendables crew for a sequel?
