Hi, I’m Julia. I was lucky enough to meet Justin this past Decemeber while he was in Toronto for his Christmas show. Here’s my second encounter with Justin, and best one yet. My friends and I decided to get a hotel for MMVA weekend and were hoping to meet Justin when he arrived. Unfortunately, Friday night I was working when he flew in. Some people I knew from high school had the chance to meet him around the city , like at Pizza Pizza. They were so lucky! On Saturday, my friends and I had already planned to go out to a club DJ Tay James was hosting. We got on the guestlist once it was announced, not thinking of anything other than having a good time. Saturday was a night to remember. Not only did Tay DJ, but the crew, Jeremy, as well as Justin AND Selena came. I freaked out when I saw them. When “All Around The World” came on, EVERYONE went crazy. Selena got up off the couch and started to sing and dance with Justin. They were there for at least half an hour and then left. We didn’t think this night could get any better. Since it also happened to be Alfredo’s birthday, it was an awesome time and we all hung out for a while. Finally, the day of MMVA’s came. Earlier in the day we waited outside his hotel but didn’t even get one glimpse of him. There was way too many fans, paparazzi and he must have been in his hotel room doing radio, press, and rehearsals. This was really sad for all of us. We just wanted to at least see him somewhere. After waiting so long, we decided to go to the red carpet car line up to see Justin . We thought he would roll down the window to say hi since it was only 6 of us, but I don’t think he wanted to ruin the surprise for the red carpet of having Jazzy and Jaxon with him and Selena. All of us were quite disappointed because almost all of the weekend we just wanted to just see him. Finally, Monday morning came and we knew Justin would be going to NYC for his show. We had less than 5 hours asleep and got ready for 9 a.m. to go wait outside of his hotel. At around 10 a.m. there was a lot of commotion. We saw Moshe come back from Starbucks with Bruce and an extra drink. I wonder who it was for? He brought it into the hotel and then came back outside to see two fans who wanted pictures with him. About 10 fans were there and we kept seeing Moshe, Bruce (Justin’s grandfather) and Kenny. We saw luggage being put into a black suburban so we figured it would be Justin’s car. About 10 more fans came around 11 a.m. My friends and I were getting nervous because 20 people is quite a crowd. Luckily, minutes after 11am, Justin and Selena’s car pulled up. Selena went into the car right away and we thought Justin was too… We look again, and Justin handed his bag over to Moshe to put in the car and said, “I’m coming to take pictures!” He greeted ALL of us. He took time with each and every fan making sure they got a good picture and was so sweet. My friend Nicole and I told him that we were having a buyout that upcoming Saturday (@Toronto_Buyout), along with our friend Vanessa (@vanessaalove who was sadly at work). He perked up when he heard that and said, “A buyout?! BUYOUTS are awesome!” I got my picture with Justin and he wasn’t rushing me or anyone. He just took his time and was SO polite. None of us were freaking out. We were all calm and took our turns, which probably made this a whole lot easier! I took pictures for about 8 other fans after me on their cameras and on mine to send to them. Justin and I kept making eye contact and now everything feels like such a blur. I keep asking myself, “Did that morning really happen?!” After I got my picture with Justin, I took one with Kenny! They were about to go to the airport to fly out to NYC. I’m honestly so thankful this happened. It was just perfect. Justin, if you see this, THANK YOU so much for taking the time to take pictures and talk to us. Jillian Michaels was spotted carrying her lil girl Lukensia around Malibu after making a Starbucks run. The fitness guru recently talked to US Weekly about how her little girl is so shy after being confined mostly to an orphanage for the early part of her life: “I’ve been to Haiti on and off since I was 27. I met her a year ago on a trip visiting orphanages for All Blessings International, an organization I work with,” Michaels, 38, tells Ladies’ Home Journal’s July issue. “I was visiting this one orphanage and the next thing I knew she jumped into my arms. She just grabbed me and clung to me and I immediately felt something. I was like, ‘Oh my God, this is my daughter.’ “ But adopting Lukensia was not an easy process. The baby girl had already been placed with a family in Germany, but it didn’t work out. “I do think there’s a certain amount of fate involved,” the former Biggest Loser trainer explains. “Life has a way of working out the way it’s meant to.” Now, Michaels and her partner, Heidi Roades, 31, are the proud parents Lukensia and son, Phoenix, who was born on May 3. And their children have two very different personalities. “He is the calm one. Patient. She is a firebrand,” Michaels shares. “Actually, she’s incredibly shy. She’s clever and adventurous, but it’s kind of heartbreaking because you have to understand she has been here since she was 9 or 10 months old. She’s now 2 and the only time she left the orphanage [prior to the adoption] was when I would take her to the Haitian guesthouse where I stayed nearby.” We’re happy Lukensia is in a good home now, but it seems like we either read a new article or see photos of Jillian every other day now. Chris Hemsworth and his wife, actress Elsa Pataky, welcomed their first child, a daughter named India. The news of the baby’s birth broke on Saturday, while the “Avengers” actor was in London promoting his other big film release, “Snow White and The Huntsman.” “It was just a name we liked, I always kind of liked Indie or Indiana for a boy and she liked India,” the Australian actor told E! News . “We sorta went, ‘Oh well, whether it’s a boy or girl, that will decide.’ It just seemed to fit.” According to People.com , the baby was born on Friday, but Hemsworth refused to confirm that report when chatting with E!, only noting that India was born “very recently.” He did add, “I’ve wanted to have kids for a long time, and here it is, and I couldn’t be happier.” Hemsworth and Pataky, who married in December 2010 , announced they were expecting back in January . “Since it’s our first child, we don’t care if it’s a boy or girl, our only wish is that it’s healthy,” Pataky said at the time. “I’m only going to speak to the baby in Spanish. Following skepticism about Kutcher’s ability to pull off playing Apple founder, photos of the actor in costume have surfaced. By Kevin P. Some comparison photos certainly helped, but now TMZ has the first shots of Kutcher in full Jobs regalia, mock turtleneck and all. The paparazzi snapped a few pictures of Kutcher outside of a Starbucks in what is reportedly his full costume for the tentatively titled movie “Jobs: Get Inspired.” In addition to the signature black mock turtleneck, Kutcher is wearing loose-fitting jeans and cross trainers, an outfit anyone familiar with Jobs would recognize as his style. Kutcher joined the film back in April to a decidedly mixed response, but after a comparison image with side-by-side photos of a long-haired Kutcher and Jobs from the 1970s started to pop up on the Web, the resemblance was hard to deny. Directed by “Swing Vote” helmer Joshua Michael Stern, “Jobs” will examine the Apple founder’s life and innovations from the 1970s to the end of the 20th century. “Book of Mormon” breakout Josh Gad signed on a few weeks after Kutcher to play Jobs’ partner and Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak. The role comes at a tumultuous time for Kutcher. MTV News travels to New Orleans, where four stars of the upcoming YA adaptation talk about the supernatural romance. By Amy Wilkinson Alice Englert and Alden Ehrenreich on the set of “Beautiful Creatures” NEW ORLEANS — This is a story of boy meets girl. Or, more accurately, boy meets caster. What is a caster, you may be asking? In the southern gothic world imagined by “Beautiful Creatures” authors Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl, casters have magical powers much like witches. Some can seduce men with one lick of a lollipop. Others can mutate their arm into a slithering snake. And still others can channel Mother Nature, bending weather to their will. This is the supernatural realm MTV News stepped into recently during our exclusive visit to the New Orleans set of “Beautiful Creatures.” While there we got the scoop on the adaptation straight from the film’s four young stars. “Lena is a young girl who also happens to be a caster, and she’s moved around — she’s moved to a lot of small towns and problems follow her,” Alice Englert told us of her character. “She’s just come to Gatlin, which is so insignificant it doesn’t have a Starbucks, etc., and [the theater] gets the titles of movie names wrong, and everyone thinks I’m a Satanist.” Just the usual adolescent angst, right? Englert conceded that underneath her supernatural surface, Lena struggles with issues any typical teen would: “I think Lena is like most girls when you feel massively insecure.” Few things can make one feel more insecure than being bullied by classmates, which just so happened to be the theme of the scene being shot during our visit. “We’re shooting a scene where there sort of begins this class persecution of Lena, and it’s very blatant,” Englert explained. “The girls in class are sort of this awful clique of girls, who are always being mean to her, and they start tormenting her,” chimed in co-star Alden Ehrenreich , who plays Lena’s love interest, Ethan. “It’s getting out of control, and she gets of control,” Englert concluded. This particular scene was just one of many effects-laden moments scheduled during production — one in which the windows of the classroom shatter in magnificent fashion. “I forgot that we were shooting, and I just stood there, like, [ drops jaw ], my eyes crossed. It’s going to look so ridiculous,” enthused Zoey Deutch, who plays mean girl Emily. “It’s really fun. It was insane. It was so loud. I really thought there was an earthquake.” Special effects aside, Deutch was also impressed with the film’s source material, counting herself among the many fans of “Beautiful Creatures.” “I loved the books, I thought they were incredible,” she said. “I thought they were smart and like nothing I’d ever read before. I’m an avid ‘Harry Potter’ fan, and [‘Beautiful Creatures’] was kind of my favorite series I’ve read since then.” But for those wanting to draw parallels between protagonist Ethan Wate and the Boy Who Lived (or even a certain sparkly vampire), Thomas Mann, who plays Link, said not so fast. “I think it’s definitely going to be unique from those stories,” he assured. “Beautiful Creatures” hits theaters February 15, 2013. My name is Toni. On Sunday 22nd April I stayed at the airport all night to wait for Justin. My friend and I were the only ones there. I didn’t sleep at all. Finally the time came when Justin arrived, he got mobbed so badly but I didn’t as Scooter had asked everyone to stay back and said, “If you all get into a line Justin will take pictures with everyone” but no one listened. I was standing talking to Scooter and he said he would get Justin to take a picture with me but it got too dangerous so they had to leave, but at one point I was standing next to Justin and he smiled at me. When he was getting into the car, Scooter said, “If you care about his safety then make a pathway for him”. Of course I did but people started to pull him. I was screaming at them, “Get off him, you’re going to hurt him” and pulling people away from him. On Monday night I camped outside the hotel, there was only 4 of us. Scooter came out and we spoke to him for 45 minutes. He said to me, “I remember you from the airport, thank you for helping him” Then I got a picture with him. I was so happy , Scooter was so lovely. He then said, “I promise you guys if you go home or some where warm, you will meet Justin” . We all said we would and then I asked Scooter, “Will you ask Alfredo if he will come to Starbucks with me?” which he replied, “Yeah sure I will, but I have to go get some sleep, it was really great to meet you”. The next morning I met Justin when he was leaving. He rolled down his window in the car and was talking to us, and I gave him my letter. Then I sat in Starbucks, I came outside and bumped into Alfredo and got a picture with him . I said, “Alfredo I’ve been tweeting you for ages to see if you’ll come to Starbucks with us and Scooter said he’d tell you as well” To which he replied, “Yeah I know, I’m sorry I went without you”. I was going to go home that night but I was determined to meet Justin as Scooter promised I would and guess what? Scooter kept to that promise! On Tuesday night Justin and Alfredo came out of the hotel on there own and took pictures with us and asked how long we had been there. Alfredo said, “You are crazy”. Then I asked him about Starbucks again and he laughed at me. I t was so cute. Then they said, “Please don’t follow us” and we all said “We won’t dont worry, thank you so much for coming to see us”. Then we all saw Niall Horan from One Direction. He was inside the hotel but security wouldn’t let him take pictures because they supposedly didn’t have time. Justin has changed my life in so many ways, everyone always told me I would never meet him but I kept telling myself, “I will meet him, NEVER SAY NEVER”. The troubles marring the relationship between fast-talking literary agent Jack McCall (Eddie Murphy) and his wife and the mother of his baby Caroline (Kerry Washington) are nothing next to the issues A Thousand Words has in marrying wacky physical comedy and a new age exploration of absentee fathers. The film, which is directed by Norbit ‘s Brian Robbins and written by Bruce Almighty ‘s Steve Koren, is being slung at audiences as a broad family laffer of the Jim Carrey school, but spends just as much time trying to be a serious tale about letting go of childhood resentments and accepting mortality. The “deep” bits aren’t, despite a climactic shot in which Murphy actually frolics with his childhood self through a Terrence Malick-style dreamy field of wheat, and the parts that aim to be funny rarely succeed at that either, telegraphing their punchlines so far in advance that they don’t really need to follow through on them. Murphy’s journey into the lucrative and yet so often awful world of family-friendly comedies is one that’s been taken by plenty of comics, but he wears it worse than most, his edges sanded off and a too calculated look in his eyes as he prepares for the soggy reconciliations with which these stories always end. It doesn’t help that even the pratfalls in A Thousand Words look tired and recycled. McCall climbs a tree to rescue a cat only to have it attack him, making him fall. McCall bluffs his way to the front of a long line at Starbucks by pretending his wife’s in labor. (I realize this is really not the type of film at which to nitpick, but beyond the vaudeville-era mustiness of the gag, why would anyone believe that someone in a wild rush to the hospital would still stop for coffee?) McCall causes multiple car accidents trying to help a blind man cross the street without being able to speak to him. The central conceit in A Thousand Words is that, thanks to a deal he’s made with Dr. Sinja (Cliff Curtis), “the most popular nondenominational religious leader on the planet,” McCall finds that a mystical tree has suddenly grown in the backyard of his swank house of a hill. For every word he says or writes, a leaf falls off, and presumably when they’re all gone both he and the tree will die. (The tree raises some mystical copyediting issues — “dickhead” merits two leaves, but so does “sorta classy.”) McCall obviously has some issues to work through, including the usual ones of working too hard and being emotionally unavailable, factors the film links back to his dad leaving his mom (Ruby Dee) when he was young. Caroline is so upset by his apparent lack of commitment (he refuses to sell his bachelor pad in order to move them into a more child-appropriate house and neighborhood) and unwillingness to communicate (something stepped up by the arrival of the tree) that she leaves him, though not before a laugh-free scene in which she tries to reinvigorate their relationship by wearing vinyl lingerie and breaking out furry handcuffs. That sequence, like most of the other comedic set-pieces, has the feel of something that went from brainstorming board right to the screen, as the film strains its way through every possible scenario that would be awkward when you’re not supposed to talk — ordering coffee, making an international call via an operator, making a deal over the phone, having a business meeting. When the film actually stumbles on a laugh, it seems almost an accident, as when Murphy’s character, high because of pesticides (don’t ask), inserts a breadstick up Allison Janney’s nose. Murphy rolls his eyes and mugs ferociously at the camera — A Thousand Words is the miming showcase the world never asked for — but it’s Hot Tub Time Machine’s Clark Duke, playing McCall’s assistant Aaron Wiseberger, who walks away with the film’s best scene when he’s forced to fill in for his boss at a high-powered dinner during which McCall can’t speak. The only way he knows how to handle a business deal is by channelling his boss, and the entire joke is that he’s a scrawny white kid offering fist bumps and telling someone “Sit your ass down!” But it’s mostly funny because he’s trying to pull off a decent Eddie Murphy. Storage trucks were seen at Lindsay Lohan’s home today, as the actress has apparently decided that one run-in with an alleged trespasser is one too many. “Lindsay’s house is more accessible than Starbucks,” a source tells E! of her Venice Beach townhome, which has become a magnet for gawkers (and stalkers) of late. “People sit in lawn chairs with cameras out on the sidewalk. That’s one thing, but the incident where the lunatic knocked on her door was the last straw.” Long story short, she’s outta there. “It just got her thinking that she needs to move,” the source says . “Lindsay contacted some real estate agents about properties that are gated and more secure.” In the interim, she’s moved into the Chateau Marmont … not a cheap place to live, but those Lindsay Lohan Playboy pictures netted her almost a mill. A mill!
