YFN Lucci – “Whole Ticket” [VIDEO] Q Money’s family released a statement offering their condolences to the Chappell family and went on to say Q was simply acting in self-defense and therefore not guilty of first-degree murder. “As the facts and evidence continue to become available, we are sure that they will show that Qamar acted in self-defense from feeling as though his life was at risk and being threatened.” Read the full statement below. First, we would like to send out our deepest condolences to the Chappell Family at this unfortunate time of loss. We were very familiar with Calvin Alexander Chappell in his younger years with our son. He was a kind young man with a bright future as a singing recording artist. Our son Qamar was focused on bringing positive energy through his music. He started his career from the ground up and does not promote violence or portray the use of guns in any of his visuals that he releases. His rapid rise to stardom fueled his ambitions to continue to work hard to get his career to the next level until he had reached the goals that he had set for himself. Qamar loves his son, his family and his craft. He has shown perseverance to eventually have become the next biggest artists ever. At the recent tragic loss of Nipsey Hustle, all artist are finding themselves thinking about what would they do if placed in a predicament that they would have to protect their lives if it were being threatened due to being a celebrity. We feel Qamar was a victim in this situation as well due to his life being completely being altered behind this event. Qamar is an energetic, enthusiastic young man and has no malice in his heart for anyone. As the facts and evidence continue to become available, we are sure that they will show that Qamar acted in self-defense from feeling as though his life was at risk and being threatened. The gentleman who was also hit in the shooting has been given his freedom back. As reported by Page Six Kerry Lathan has been released from a detention center in California on Saturday, April 20. The Los Angle native witnessed the assassination of the “Racks In The Middle” rapper on March 31 where he too took a bullet to his back. Upon his release from the hospital, he was promptly put into police custody. As a felon who served 25 years for murder being with a known gang member was in direct violation of his parole terms. Luckily the legal system was able to apply common sense to his situation. His lawyer Lauren Noriega claimed that the 56-year-old was at the scene by chance. “He wasn’t there to propose any business to Nipsey . He had no idea that Nipsey would be there” Noriega explained. Previous reports alleged Nipsey was meeting him to give him free clothes. Lathan suffered a stroke while in custody and still has the bullet lodged in his back. On Sunday, millions of Americans gathered with loved ones to celebrate the resurrection of a towering figure who many believe to be the foretold savior of mankind. We’re talking, of course, about Jon Snow. But in addition to one of the final Game of Thrones nights, yesterday was also significant because it was Easter … or as the Duggars call it, Resurrection Day. Yes, the Duggars like to keep the focus on JC during their holiday festivities (and during everything else they do in life, to be honest). And so, Easter becomes Resurrection Day and Christmas is Jesus’ birthday. (We’re pretty sure their kids would have gotten the point of the celebration without the name change, but whatever floats your ark.) Anyway, Michelle spoke about the family’s celebration in 2014, just months before the Josh Duggar sex scandals led to the cancelation of her first reality show, 19 Kids and Counting. “We call it ‘Resurrection Day’ because we really want to make the focus and emphasis on the fact that it’s the resurrection of Jesus Christ,” Michelle explained at the time. It seems that in most ways, the Duggar festivities resemble those you would find in many homes across America. “We sing songs, we draw pictures of the cross, and we make cookies,” the mother of 19 added. “We will make cookies and decorate them, and then we memorize little verses,” she adds. Okay, so Easter isn’t really a cookie-baking, song-singing occasion for most of us, but the whole thing sounds pretty normal by Duggar standards … until you get to the pickles. Apparently, each of the Duggar children gets a jar of pickles in their Easter basket. “The Duggars love pickles. I think it probably started that when my mom is pregnant she craves pickles, that is the one thing,” Jessa Duggar once told In Touch . “Every time we see her eating pickles we say ‘Are you pregnant?’” It gets weirder. Joy-Anna revealed that when a Duggar takes his or her first bite of a pickle, it’s considered a monumental event. “Any time a family member tries a pickle for the first time, we always go around and take videos and pictures and everyone comes around to watch their facial expression,” she said. Oof. We’re sure Freud would have a field day with a family who’s so uptight about sex being obsessed with pickles, but we’re gonna leave it alone.
