For the record, there is nothing funny about domestic violence , but banana pudding…the audacity bruh. According to TMZ , last week Dro pled guilty to 1 count of battery/family violence and sentenced to 12 months in prison. However, he was ordered to only serve 70 days. Reportedly, the “Shoulder Lean” rapper also is getting 20 days for time served and will have more time shaved off for good behavior. After all is said and done, Dro can be out by early October but he’ll be on probation for a year. Dro will also have to be alcohol and drug free during said probation and has been ordered to go undergo domestic violence counseling. Get your life right, Dro.
Last week, Mike Sorrentino was released after serving eight months behind bars for tax evasion. Despite his relatively short sentence, The Situation missed out on quite a lot during his time in federal prison. For one thing, the Jersey Shore money train is still chugging along, which means at this point, Snooki and company can enjoy a hearty laugh at the haters who dismissed them as a flash in the pan and made snide “15 minutes of fame” remarks a freakin’ decade ago. Mike was able to make a couple voice-over cameos by calling his former housemate’s cell phones at opportune times, and his new wife Lauren Pesce took his place at events like Ronnie’s daughter’s birthday party. But it just wasn’t the same in terms of the viewer experience, the group dynamic — or the Sorrentinos’ pocketbook. (While Lauren was paid for appearances, she likely earned a fraction of what Mike would make, and The Sitch’s phone cameos were brief and infrequent.) Of course, what Mike really missed out on wasn’t lining his pockets, but spending time with his family. Sorrentino married Pesce just two months before he began serving his sentence. He stated repeatedly in the weeks after his wedding that leaving Lauren behind would be the most difficult part of his ordeal. These days, Big Daddy Sitch is opening up about his post-prison plans, and not surprisingly, it seems he’s focused on making up for lost time. “It’s fantastic. I have my beautiful wife next to me. I’m healthy, I’m sober, back at work with my best friends on the No. 1 show on MTV and just living the dream,” Mike told Entertainment Tonight in a new interview. “You sort of take your freedom for granted sometimes,” he added. “Once you get out, you are taking advantage [of] every minute,” the 37-year-old continued. “Every second, every meal, every conversation with my beautiful wife, with my friends. I love my job, so I am on such an awesome road and we are very excited to see what the future has to offer.” “It’s a very uncomfortable situation from start to finish [but] it’s not the end of the world,” Mike added of his time behind bars. “I was just proud of myself that, even under extreme stress and adversity, I was still able to do my job and do it well,” he said. “And still able to earn an income while in prison.” Congrats to Mr. and Mrs. Situation. According to NBCWashington , Pelosi is expected to announce her full support of the formal impeachment inquiry following a call to action by Rep. John Lewis earlier this afternoon. As spotted on Bossip , Rocko and Future have mended their once sour relationship. On Friday, September 20 the “Wicked” rapper treated his hometown to a very special set of his Legendary Nights Tour. He not only brought out 21 Savage and Lil Baby but he also invited his former mentor and business partner. Naturally the surprise appearance took the crowd by surprise as they not only hugged it out but proceeded to perform “Chosen One” together. This peace treaty was highly unlikely as Rocko, who originally discovered Future , claimed he was not properly compensated when his former mentee signed his recording artist deal at Sony Music. In response to the allegations, Future said Rocko robbed him with an unfair contract. They would be at odds for almost five years. A road manager for the Bronx rapper, Yasin Touray, was caught on video throwing punches and struck at least two women with brutal blows. The Blast reports : The violent attack, from May 25, was all caught on tape by a witness, Sayyora Badalbaeva, who also starred in “Bad Girls Club.” In the video, obtained by The Blast, an argument can be seen between Yasin Touray and several women in a hotel room. The argument escalated to physical violence, and Touray could be seen throwing a haymaker punch that connects with one of the women in the face and sends her crumpling to the ground. Another woman in the room tried to intervene, but Touray grabbed her and leveled multiple menacing punches into her face. The attack is so brutal, one of the victims could even be seen checking her teeth in the mirror to see if any had been knocked out. Touray was detained and arrested on the spot and now the women who were punched, Instagram models Ally Stone and Karina Djalilova, are bringing a lawsuit against Touray and A Boogie, naming the rapper because their side says he was the road manager’s employer and thus responsible for his actions. Touray’s criminal charges are still pending. Video of the incident can be seen below but we must warn viewers that the acts depicted are violent so proceed with caution. You don’t need to know who Arina Lush is….because I don’t know who she is. I just think the tanline photoshoot she is the star of is pretty great…I mean not THAT great, but still something a little different, a little comedic or ironic, a little Canadian Prime Minister in Black/Brownface, like every single fucking girl on INSTAGRAM, including but not limited to Ariana Grande, but who don’t get called out as racists…because we’re too busy jerking off to them…coupled with not thinking that brown make-up is a racist thing.
