According to page six , the “Love & Hip Hop” creator, media mogul and entrepreneur has signed an overall deal with Lionsgate TV to develop and produce unscripted series for the company’s alternative television business under her Monani Productions banner. Reportedly, Mona will also have the opportunity to develop projects across Lionsgate’s scripted, digital and other businesses. “We’re thrilled to partner with an incredibly creative and talented producer who is one in a million,” said Lionsgate EVP and Head of Worldwide Alternative Programming Jennifer O’Connell. “Mona is a talent magnet who has established remarkable relationships in the entertainment industry and created one of TV’s biggest reality franchises. We look forward to collaborating on exciting content for our alternative programming slate and can’t wait to kick off our partnership.” Mona seems excited about the new deal! The platform has been under fire for a while, but even more so within the last 2 years due to the state of our country and y’all’s little president instilling confidence in people who might otherwise be more closeted with their hatred. But with so many people running around on the platform doing both hateful and harmful things, there are a lot of areas where Twitter could improve–but apparently, their CEO Jack Dorsey has some other plans on his agenda that he thinks are more important. At a recent Twitter event , Dorsey told a room full of employees and journalists that Twitter would be removing the heart-shaped Like button from the platform sometime “soon”. Twitter Communications confirmed a Like button rework was being considered as part of an ongoing effort to clean up the platform — with the aim of incentivizing “healthier conversations”. The tweet reads as follows: “As we’ve been saying for a while, we are rethinking everything about the service to ensure we are incentivizing healthy conversation, that includes the like button. But in 2015, Twitter changed the Favorite button to a Like because, “You might like a lot of things, but not everything can be your favorite”. Paras Griffin/Getty Images for WE tv Kenya Moore Says She’s Experiencing Preeclampsia During Her Pregnancy Kenya Moore is sharing some scary details about her pregnancy. The former RHOA star who’s due around Thanksgiving shared pictures of her swollen feet after partying at Cynthia Bailey’s Seagrams Gin bash. According to Kenya she gained nearly 20 pounds in a week and might have preeclampsia, excessive swelling, and high blood pressure. “I made fun of my swollen feet at @cynthiabailey10 party. Next day my tests came back for possible preeclampsia… I gained 17 lbs in ONE week due to severe swelling and water retention, high blood pressure, and excess protein in urine. This is NOT normal! I took more tests. Baby is fine but if they come back higher #babydaly will have to come same day.” We hope Kenya’s okay, preeclampsia symptoms include severe headaches, nausea, impaired liver function and upper abdominal pain. She also previously shared that she now weighs 200-pounds. Feel better Kenya!
Getty Images Helicopter Crashes Into Florida Mobile Home Park And Kills Two At least two people were killed after a helicopter crashed into a Florida mobile home park on Tuesday afternoon, according to reports from authorities. Emergency crews responded to the crash at the Sebring Falls Mobile Home Park in Highlands County shortly before 3 p.m. Two homes remain on fire, according to the Highlands County Sheriff’s Office, but fortunately, it does not appear like anyone was inside either residence when the aircraft fell from the sky. Video from the scene of the incident depicts at least one charred residence completely engulfed by flames, which was sparked by the afternoon crash. Both confirmed fatalities were believed to be in the helicopter at the time, and there are no other suspected casualties. Another person was injured and transported to an area hospital. The names of the victims from the crash have not yet been released. Authorities have requested that the public avoid the area of Flare Road and Bryant Boulevard for the time being..
