Breaking News–Police responding to a shooting in Friendship Heights at WTTG Fox 5 DC. An on duty security guard was said to have shot a suspected intruder. Police responded to the call around 3:15 pm today. There is no word on what the intruders intentions were or why he was trying to break in. Police have confirmed that the intruder survived and was taken to a local hospital and is in critical condition. This is a developing incident and we will update as more information has gathered.

The continuing adventures of Florida Man have taken a grim turn. A vengeful ex-lover went to great lengths to find the new boyfriend of his ex-girlfriend. He hit the man over the head with a tire iron, carved his initials into the man’s leg, and then cut off the man’s penis . The Chicago Tribute reports that, on a judge’s orders, Florida man Justin Foster is being held on $1 million bond. Foster is a Tallahassee resident, but he made the trek to Atlanta before flying to Chicago. In Chicago, he rented a car and drove to Des Plaines. It was in Des Plaines that the alleged crime went down. Foster apparently approached the 26-year-old boyfriend of his former lover before the violence began. According to police, after Foster approached the victim, he struck him over the head with a tire iron. The victim was then rendered unconscious, but Foster was allegedly just getting started. He is said to have then carved initials — which initials are unclear, but many have assumed that they were his own — into the victim’s leg. Foster then allegedly cut off the man’s penis. Every single part of that is horrifying. According to detectives, Foster then tossed the penis over a fence. The victim was then dragged behind a parked car. It is there that Foster allegedly left the victim in a growing pool of his own blood. The victim was found by someone who was passing by. Emergency services were contacted and he was rushed to the emergency room. In the mean time, Foster boarded a flight back to Atlanta. Foster was arrested on August 27. He was extradited back to Illinois in September. He has been charged with attempted murder, which is appropriate since his assault could have easily claimed the victim’s life. There was more to it than the horrific mutilation. The victim received permanent brain damage from the tire iron blow to the head. Whacking someone over the head with a heavy object isn’t like what you see on television, folks. Hitting someone hard enough to knock them out means hitting someone hard enough to damage them or even to kill them. This is a truly gruesome case on every level. Based upon what we know, it appears that the sole motive was that the victim was dating Justin Foster’s ex-girlfriend. This goes above and beyond most of the horror stories about jealous exes that we’ve ever heard. It sounds like Justin Foster may be the worst incarnation of Florida Man. 38. It isn’t the number of times the Kim Kardashian sex tape has been downloaded in the past hour or so. It’s now the age of the woman after whom this sex tape is named. On Sunday, October 21, Kim Kardashian celebrated her latest birthday, inching a year closer to the big 4-0 while basking in the adulation of her followers and her family members. Nearly each of those included in the latter group jumped on social media to send along their best wishes and most heartfelt tributes. To wit, here’s a message from sister Khloe: “Happy birthday sweet Kimberly!!! My entire life you’ve always been someone that I look up to. To me, You are super woman!! The family matriarch and manager posted the following montage of her child and wrote a lengthy caption along with it. It reads: “Happy birthday @kimkardashian!!! The Hollywood Reporter states that Sabo decided to change the advertisement after Waters in June told a crowd to make things uncomfortable for Donald Trump as well as his Cabinet members. The final path for Rick and Maggie is starting to take shape. As previously reported, both Andrew Lincoln and Lauren Cohan are departing The Walking Dead during the first half of the current season. Sunday’s episode picked up Justin becoming a member of the undead, but all of the communities had no idea where he was. The Saviors were especially mad because they knew something happened to him, but the person was just going to get away with it. As all the communities tried to find him, Maggie noticed the reanimated version of him looking for some fine dining on the streets. Among the pool of suspects in the spate of disappearances were Daryl, Maggie, and Jadis. Daryl and Maggie have long been against the Saviors, and for a good reason. But Jadis had an alibi … or so we thought. Gabriel told the others she was him the night Justin went missing, so she could not be the one in the frame. After yet another big bust-up, Alden opened up to Rick about the Saviors feeling more at ease if they were trusted to have a firearm. Rick was not ready to reason with him and said that it was not out of the question. It was all a matter of finding out who was responsible for these disappearances. “You trust me, don’t you?” Alden said to Maggie. “How about trusting a few other people who’ve made a change?” Rick ultimately grilled Daryl about the murder, and it showed just how fraught this friendship had become. “If I’d-a killed him, I’d-a killed him in plain sight,” Daryl complained, leading to Rick claiming that they were building a better future and they had to do their best to stick to it. But Daryl had heard it all before and felt like the Saviors took a lot of their comrades from them. “But killing each other when the world already belongs to the dead, it’s not the way, not anymore,” said Rick after claiming that killing is not the way forward anymore. Gabriel continued to question whether Jadis was only with him because she wanted a cover story for all of her misdeeds. The plot thickened when Jadis returned to her former stomping grounds, and brought out a walkie-talkie and called someone. “What do you have, an A or a B?” said the man who replied. “I paid my share,” she responded After going back on forth on letters, Jadis said she would have an A by the next day. Okay then. When she returned to Gabriel she gave him the following offer: “There’s another place that’s far from here,” she said, “but if we go together, we can get there.” She was trading people for supplies for her people. But Gabriel did not want to help out and found himself knocked out. Daryl and Maggie found their way to a house that Cyndie once lived, and they found Cyndie, Bea and another girl going at it with Arat. The Saviors had murdered all of their friends and family, and that’s why they took action to take them down. After some back and forth, Maggie and Daryl allowed the women to murder Arat for his crimes. “We gave Rick’s way a chance,” she said. “It’s time to see Negan.” What will become of these characters? Two Black women in Tulsa are aiming to level the property ownership playing field through the creation of their own real estate company, Forbes reported. Paye , Esq. and Ernestine Johnson are the women behind the first Black-owned real estate crowdfunding company, the news outlet writes. Dubbed the Tulsa Real Estate Fund (TREF), the platform was created to help individuals in underserved communities overcome the obstacles of gentrification by helping them make low-cost real estate investments. Those who take advantage of the fund can invest in property for less than $1,000. The two were motivated to start their venture after doing research about the racial wealth gap and the ravaging affects of gentrification. Hearing the stories about people who were pushed out of their neighborhoods because they couldn’t afford to stay there and realizing that there was a lack of resources offered to low-income individuals related to property ownership prompted them to take action. “I said to myself, ‘I have to use my art and my voice to financially empower low-income, underserved, and urban communities,” said Johnson, who serves as the co-founder and chief communications officer of TREF. Paye, who serves as the company’s vice president of business affairs, says that her personal experiences motivated her to make a change. “My parents struggled and sacrificed to become homeowners. Now I see the pride they have in their home,” Paye told Forbes. “Also, as an attorney, I have facilitated numerous real estate transactions for first-time homebuyers. I have seen the power of real estate to transform people’s lives.” There are several initiatives that have been launched to give individuals a seat at the table when it comes to the redevelopment of their communities. Last year, the Entrepreneurs of Color Fund —which was specifically designed to give Black entrepreneurs access to capital—grew to $18 million.
