Whether you're a fan of Counting On or you simply watch the Duggars from a safe distance out of morbid curiosity, you have some sense of who and what you're dealing with. Put another way, you're probably aware that the family's belief system, and by extension, their child-rearing methods have been a frequent source of controversy. Practices such as ” blanket training ” and other forms of systematic abuse have led to calls for boycotts and even demands for a full CPS investigation in the past. But the Duggars have refused to shy away or even issue a public apology, which isn't surprising – and now it looks like these lessons are being handed down. According to a report from In Touch Weekly , it looks as though the torch is being passed from one generation to the next, in disturbing fashion. Are Jim Bob and Michelle's grown children now practicing the same techniques that were used to quite literally whip them into shape in their own youth? Understandably, fans are terrified that this continued behavior and methodology may eventually result in someone paying the ultimate price. 1. The Originators Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar have strict views on child-rearing and family hierarchies that were formed in part by their involvement with the unfortunately-named Bill Gothard’s Institute for Basic Life Principles. 2. The Fallen Idol Those who follow Gothard may now that he got what was coming to him. He is now a disgraced former minister who was drummed out his own organization after being accused of abuse and sexual assault by dozens of employees. 3. The Stubborn Ones Despite the scandal, and attempts to distance themselves from him from an image standpoint, Jim Bob and Michelle have remained true to Gothard’s teachings, including two beliefs that have attracted a considerable amount of criticism in recent years. 4. Full Quivers Gothard is the originator of the Quiverfull Movement, which holds and practices the belief that women are put on this planet for the sole purpose of birthing as many children as possible. 5. A Dangerous Proposition This isn’t a vaguely-defined “the bigger family, the better” sort of deal. According to Gothard’s teachings, women are to continue having children until they literally cannot bear any more of them. That means they are expected to conceive well into middle-age, regardless of threats to their health or the health of their offspring. 6. It’s been barely over a month since Tyler Cameron was spotted on a date with Gigi Hadid , but reports claim that they’re already falling in love . Yolanda Foster’s mother, Ans van den Herik, passed away last month following a very lengthy battle with cancer. That of course makes her Gigi Hadid’s beloved grandmother. Gigi referred to her as Oma. She was heartbroken by her beloved grandmother’s passing. Along with Bella, Anwar, and their mother, she attended the funeral in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. It was a somber event, but it’s good to be surrounded by family and other loved ones as you grieve. Yolanda brought her plus one, Joseph Jingoli. Anwar was also accompanied by his girlfriend, singer Dua Lipa. Though they have only been dating for a matter of weeks, Gigi brought along hunky boyfriend Tyler Cameron. The The Bachelorette alum looked dashing in his black suit as he came to pay his respects to a woman who meant so much to Gigi. He remained by Gigi’s side throughout, giving her emotional support as she said her goodbyes by her grandmother’s casket. Gigi shared the news of her grandmother’s passing on Instagram. “OUR QUEEN ANGEL fought cancer six times in her life with courage, strength, and grace,” Gigi affirmed. She noted that her Oma did so “while being the greatest mother and grandmother.” “She is an honorable guide we will carry with us forever,” Gigi praised. Not everyone is lucky enough to have a close relationship with a grandparent. Those of us lucky enough to have it treasure those memories, always. “We love you more than words,” Gigi’s beautiful Instagram tribute continued. She praised her grandmother as “our beautiful wonderful Oma.” “OMA FOREVER,” Gigi wrote on another post. It’s important to remember that someone’s passing doesn’t mean that you cannot cherish their memory for all time. In another post, Gigi simply wrote: “Rest in Paradise.” Attending a funeral is a big deal. is there a chance that Tyler and Gigi are already way more serious than people realize. People can be divided about funeral invitations and plus ones. Some of us would never in our lives invite someone to attend a funeral with us unless they were a spouse or at least engaged. Most people consider funerals for close friends and for family, not for someone you happen to be dating. However, this doesn’t mean that Gigi and Tyler are rushing into things. Gigi may have asked Tyler along — or he may have volunteered — purely for emotional support. Funerals are complicated. During the viewing beforehand, people sometimes laugh and tell jokes. That happens almost any time save the burial itself. Funerals are for the living, and the living sometimes need a comforting presence who is just there for their sake. A trans woman named Mariah Lopez Ebony made the allegation in a Facebook post that Yoba had solicited sex from her when she was merely 13 and 16 years-old. Allegations surfaced from Ebony after Yoba revealed he was “trans attracted” and was applauded for his honesty. “For all who applaud and solute [sic] Malik Yoba for revealing he is so called ‘Trans Attracted,’ understand that either because of deeper issues he has or, because of ‘society’ pushing him and others to deep, dark places, his admission to being sexually attracted to trans women, is bound to open a Pandora’s box for him; not because the women are Trans, but because many of the trans women he engaged in sexual exploration and exploitation with on 14th Street, Times Square and elsewhere, were minors, including myself. The legendary comic had zero shows planned when the news broke, but would later reveal that things wouldn’t remain that way much longer. Murphy discussed hosting Saturday Night Live on Netflix’s Present Company with Krista Smith this coming December when he tried to casually drop that he was going on tour. “And then next year in 2020 I’m going to go on the road and do some stand-up,” he explained. It remains to be seen if the tour will be taped specifically for a Netflix special, but we can expect the special to come sometime after his tour. Eddie Murphy was a frequent cast member on SNL , but it was his epic stand-up specials that gained him a lot of his notoriety, and ultimately legend status. With a stand-up tour appearing to be on the horizon, along with a return to SNL , Murphy looks to be primed and ready for a comeback to revitalize his legendary comedy career. Possibly even more exciting is the long-awaited Coming to America sequel, which will see Murphy and Arsenio Hall both reprising their roles from the 1988 comedy classic. Coming 2 America is set to hit theaters on Dec. 18, 2020.
