Source: KEVIN CURTIS / Getty Man Stabs Wife To Death At Queens Nail Salon A 35-year old Queens woman was pronounced dead on Wednesday after her husband fatally stabbed her to death in the salon where she worked. After jabbing her with a knife several times in the chest, as her horrified co-workers watched, the 39-year old suspect layed on top of his wife’s lifeless body and cried, until police came and dragged him away. Footage of the incident shows the “jealous” husband embracing his slain wife and speaking softly to her as she laid there in a pool of blood. Police arrived and rushed the woman to Elmhurst General Hospital, where she was pronounced dead shortly after. According to reports, Rodriguez and her husband split after about four years of marriage in January, but he became jealous when he saw her talking with other men. A friend of the woman told New York Daily News : “She said that he was aggressive, and she was a little scared, but never enough to think this [would happen]. She said he wanted her to live with him but she said she didn’t want to be with him. She said she didn’t want him to know where she lived.” The woman is survived by her two young sons: an 8-year old, and a toddler. The husband has been taken into police custody, and charges are pending. SMH.
When Jenelle Evans was fired from Teen Mom 2 , producers were presented with an interesting problem: Evans was widely despised by both her co-workers and the show’s cast, but nonetheless, her absence would be keenly felt. After all, drama is gold in the world of reality TV, and no one delivers it quite like Jenelle. And the folks at the helm of the Teen Mom franchise know firsthand how the loss of a good villain can affect a show’s viewership. In the weeks after Farrah Abraham was fired from Teen Mom OG , for example, fans rejoiced that they would no longer be subjected to her word-salad tirades and diva demands. But Teen Mom OG ratings have been plummetting since Farrah’s departure — a sure sign that sometimes, audiences need someone they can love to hate. Producers did their best to fill Farrah’s shoes, casting not one but two moms to take her place. In the end, one of them, Bristol Palin, lasted only a single season, while the other, Cheyenne Floyd, has been mostly met with indifference by fans. So when it came time to replace Jenelle, producers did not enter the decision lightly. In the end, they cast Jade Cline , another 16 & Pregnant alum. And this time, it seems producers have learned from their past mistakes and hired a mom who’s easy to work with, but who still brings plenty of drama to the table. “She’s been lovely to work with; honestly a real dream,” a production insider tells The Ashley’s Reality Roundup . “Everyone really likes her. She’s reliable, and has treated the crew and producers with respect.” Another insider echoes those sentiments, confirming that Jade is essentially the anti-Jenelle. “Jade has been the exact opposite of Jenelle,” the insider reveals. “She is not a diva whatsoever— which some of the other girls on these shows tend to be— and has not had any issues with anyone on the shoots. It’s been a refreshing and nice change, actually.” Asked to describe working with Jenelle, the second source said simply, “Chaos!” “It was so touch-and-go. We never knew if we were actually going to be shooting if we were scheduled to film with Jenelle,” the insider tells The Ashley. “And if we did film, [we didn’t know] if we would get any usable footage, if she would storm off and refuse to film, or if David [Eason] would try to mess with the shoot.” But that doesn’t mean Jade’s scenes will be lacking in emotion: “Jade’s story is just really sad,” one behind-the-scenes source tells The Ashley. “There were some super-tense moments, especially concerning her ex-boyfriend that were very scary.” The source adds that Jade is a reality TV natural, and she’s provided the cast with so much usable footage that she was able to finish filming well before her castmates. “There was so much to film!” the source says. “We have so much footage we don’t need any more for this season,” the insider adds. “It was so easy to get, not having to deal with canceled shoots and drama queen tantrums!” We’re sure Jenelle will handle the positive reports about her replacement with the level-headed equanimity and gentle good humor for which she’s become famous. From The Roots to Mac Miller to Wu-Tang Clan, that library in Washington D.C. done housed some noise to keep the neighbors grooving and vibing all day long. The latest big name artist to perform at NPR’s studio is Ty Dolla $ign and during his set went on to pay homage to Mac Miller just a month before the first anniversary of his passing. Performing a rendition of Miller’s “Cinderella” off of Mac’s The Devine Feminine , Ty Dolla conjures up some heartfelt soul in remembrance of the Steel City MC. Check out the performance below.

Beverly Hills, 90210 has been rebooted on Fox. Or has it been revived? Or maybe erased from memory and started all over again by most of the original cast members? It’s difficult to assess what we just watched premiere on Wednesday night — but we’re pretty sure we liked it a lot. BH90210 brought Gabrielle Carteris, Jennie Garth, Tori Spelling, Ian Ziering, Jason Priestley, Brian Austin Green and Shannen Doherty back on screen together for the first time in about 30 years. But the stars didn’t portray the characters that made them famous way back in the early 1990s. Instead, they portrayed heightened versions of themselves , flying into Las Vegas for a Beverly Hills, 90210 reunion and starring in a meta mockumentary that was actually pretty funny at even revealing at times. How so? Well… The Tori Spelling played by Tori Spelling on this new series has six kids, a handful of reality shows on her resume, a husband who doesn’t work and serious financial issues. The version of Jennie Garth fans watched on the premiere has been married three times and gets really annoyed by how everyone only refers to her as Kelly Taylor. Brian Austin Green on the show is a stay-at-home father, married to a gorgeous and famous singer; the only thing anyone wants to talk to him about is his wife and he hasn’t acted in years. These jokes and many of these fictional/non-fictional tidbits may not have been obvious to all viewers, but the premiere was full of other jokes regarding the original series and was also just simply funny at times without delving into the meta narratives. To continue along this theme, however: Jason Priestley on the series was a moderately successful television director who is still best remembered for playing Brandon Walsh and who seems a little annoyed by that fact. Ian Ziering on the series is married to a gorgeous blonde who is trying out for The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and with whom he’s trying to build a career off a personalized, hashtag-themed workout book. The premiere concluded on two notes, one intriguing and one heartbreaking. First, Doherty decided to fly to Los Angeles (from Africa, where she had been rescuing tigers) in order to join her ex-co-stars in an attempt to revive Beverly Hills, 90210 as a show-within-the-show. Second, the reboot/revival paid tribute to Luke Perry, who tragically died from a stroke earlier this year. The final scene was from a very early episode of the original; it featured Perry as Dylan and Priestley as Brandon and it depicted the charactes pulling up to the beach in a car. “Welcome to paradise, man. Jay Smith has taken the huge step of going Instagram official with his mistress-turned-girlfriend . Good for him and good for her. But Ashley Martson is issuing a warning. Not only was Jay trying to get back with her right up to the day that he was arrested, but he cheated with six different women since their wedding. Ashley Martson has opened up to In Touch Weekly about Jay’s behavior towards her and other women. “Jay apologized [for cheating] all the way until the day he got arrested,” Ashley reveals. That sounds nice … until you consider his possible motive. “And,” she continues, Jay “tried to get back with me.” There may have been some degree of temptation from the part of her that still loved him, Ashley admits, “but I knew that he had multiple relations.” When Jay was locked away, it was his “friend” Kayla who set up his GoFundMe and ran his social media. Since his release, neither of them have been subtle about their relationship. Ashley has already revealed that Jay has been with Kayla for months and months — dating back to January. “Unfortunately,” Ashley is now prepared to share. “The girl he’s with now is not the only person he was talking to right before he went to jail.” “[I] confirmed [there are] six girls that he slept with since we got married,” she accuses. So if Jay was just laying pipe with every girl in sight, why was he trying to get back with Ashley? Did he on some level truly love her, all appearances to the contrary? “I think he was only trying to do that because he wanted the green card,” Ashley admits. “And,” she notes. “I’m the only person that can sign for it,” “I don’t truly think he wanted to be with me,” Ashley expresses. That is so heartbreaking — especially after all that he put her through. Would Ashley ever consider getting back with Jay? “[If] hell would freeze over, maybe, I don’t know,” Ashley says. But she doesn’t expect that he’ll have the chance. His deportation is looming and, to hear her tell it, inevitable. “ICE had contacted me the day before I did the PFA and said that they were coming … because he was there illegally,” Ashley reveals. She adds: “The PFA and the violation just got him arrested basically two days earlier than what he would’ve been.” So ICE contacted her on June 30. And Jay would have originally been arrested on July 5. If and when Jay does get booted back to Jamaica, don’t expect Ashley to wail and gnash her teeth at the loss. “Honestly, I don’t really care if he’s deported,” Ashley says. That is a huge change of tone and attitude since early July, when she was in tears over Jay’s arrest.
