Dolores Hope, the 102-year-old widow of Bob Hope, passed away from natural causes on Monday in Los Angeles. An acclaimed singer and devoted philanthropist, Mrs. Hope had spent 69 years married to her husband before his death in 2003 at age 100; she died in the Toluca Lake home the couple bought together in 1940. The Dilemma , Ron Howard’s cheerless, would-be relationship farce, begins with two couples around a dinner table and ends with two men running into each other’s arms. Ronny (Vince Vaughn) and Nick (Kevin James) are tight. Wrote Stephanie : “Positing itself as a fun girls’ night out, an escapist fashion fantasy, this Manolo-hoofed monstrosity gave us only crass consumerism of the lowest order, a parade of brand names masquerading as style and failing miserably.” Other films on the list: Furry Vengence , Grown Ups , The Last Airbender and, shockingly, Black Swan .
