Kristen Stewart Amused By ‘Snow White’ Co-Star Charlize Theron

‘I love the effect she has on people,’ KStew tells MTV News. By Kara Warner, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Charlize Theron in “Snow White and the Huntsman” Photo: Universal Despite their obvious differences both onscreen and off, Kristen Stewart and Charlize Theron have formed a bond during the filming of “Snow White and the Huntsman” and even more so during the current press tour in support of the film. When MTV News caught up with Stewart recently, we asked her to compare the familiar scenario of doing interviews with her longtime “Twilight” co-stars Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner versus her new castmate, the lovely Ms. Theron. “When Rob, Taylor and I do interviews together, they usually don’t actually ask us anything. We just get to hang out and people like to watch that,” Stewart said with a laugh. “It’s fine, because I like hanging out with those guys, but it is weird. With Charlize, it’s been great, because we’re so proud of the movie and we actually only worked together for three days, so we got to know each other probably more or at least on a certain level during press, and it’s been nice. It’s been fun.” Stewart said she especially admires Theron’s ability to light up a room with her energy and humor. “Some people intimidate you. Some people’s energy is so big you feel like you don’t fit in the room, but with her, I really appreciate how different we are. I love the effect she has on people,” Stewart said. “I find it hilarious. I love watching it happen. I do not have that. Maybe I have something else, but it’s definitely not as visceral. Also, she’s really hilarious,” she added, noting that the Oscar winner uses the more colorful swear words with particular aplomb. “[She] puts me to shame, to be honest,” Stewart said. ‘Twilight’ Fans Want Kristen Stewart’s Bodyguard To Protect Them

‘People now refer to Kristen Stewart’s bodyguard as ‘HBG,’ ‘ co-creator of ‘Kristen Stewart’s Hot Bodyguard’ Facebook page says. By Kara Warner Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson in “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1” Photo: Summit Entertainment Full disclosure about my love for “Twilight”: I don’t so much love the books and movies as much as I completely and totally adore the franchise’s loyal, enthusiastic, entertaining fans. Really it’s their passion and dedication that keeps me interested in the whole thing as we inch closer and closer to the release of the final film, “Breaking Dawn – Part 2.” That’s why I’ve decided to dedicate this week’s “Twilight” Tuesday to one of the many groups of fans with whom I’ve become acquainted with over the last few years, Kristen Stewart’s Hot Bodyguard , more specifically, the three lovely ladies who birthed the creative and entertaining concept: Lynsey Jacob, Sarah Morrill and Jennifer Kelley. “Kristen Stewart’s Hot Bodyguard” is a Facebook group dedicated to, you guessed it, Kristen Stewart ‘s hot bodyguard. The origin of their popular group (3,000 members and growing!) can be traced to first glimpses of said bodyguard during the “Eclipse” press tour, followed by an in-person encounter at Stewart’s NYC promotion for “Welcome to the Rileys,” and then an excellent bit of brainstorming during a walk to the subway that begot the term “HBG” (Hot Bodyguard) and the Facebook page. Since then, the ladies have kept close tabs on their man via photos, fellow fans and making the occasional trip to a major event. (I was lucky enough to meet Jacob, Morrill and Kelley at such an event, last year’s “Breaking Dawn – Part 1” premiere. “The goal is always to get a wave,” Jacob told MTV News of the most memorable aspects of their HBG sightings. “It’s exciting. Another one that always cracks me up is watching all of the tweets about HBG when there’s an event going on. When he wasn’t at the Kids’ Choice Awards, people were freaking out. And these tweets are from around the world! Half the time it’s in another language.” “I actually really enjoy making graphics and fun little [themed] pictures for the page,” Morrill added. “I also designed the shirts that we made for the ‘Breaking Dawn’ premiere last year and have already started working on some ideas for this year’s shirts and other swag. Other than that, it’s always cool to see how excited the fans get when we post new pictures or videos of HBG, especially because I’m just as excited to see them as they are! We will be representing Team HBG to its fullest at the ‘Breaking Dawn -Part 2’ premiere in L.A. in November and are excited to meet new fans and see some old ones from the premiere last year.” One thing to point out about these ladies is that they don’t take themselves too seriously. Yes, they are dedicated fans, but they also just want to continue to have fun with the concept. “When Stephenie Meyer grabbed a hold of our HBG heads on a stick and took photos with them, that was so cool,” Jacobs recalled of the author embracing their “fan art” at last year’s premiere. “We were always worried that people would think we were crazy instead of just creative fans, but overall, the page and the whole concept has been really well-received.” “My dream for the group is for it to continue for as long as possible, maybe even until a gray-haired HBG is beating away the paparazzi with his cane in order to protect Kristen,” Morrill joked. “Truthfully, when we started this page a year and half ago, we never could have imagined what it would become. People around the world now refer to Kristen Stewart’s bodyguard as “HBG.” We did that. Stephenie Meyer knows who we are. Kristen mentioned our page in an article for British GQ last year. The awesome folks at MTV think we’re cool. It really doesn’t get much better than that! The only thing I could imagine that would put a cherry on top of this entire experience is to one day be able to change the group’s profile picture to one of the three of us with Kristen and HBG.” Check out everything we’ve got on “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2.” For young Hollywood news, fashion and “Twilight” updates around the clock, visit HollywoodCrush.MTV.com . Kristen Stewart Calls ‘Snow White’ Speech ‘So Bravehearty’

‘It’s crazy, but it’s good,’ actress tells MTV News at film’s London premiere. By Fallon Prinzivalli, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Kristen Stewart Photo: MTV News Kristen Stewart is throwing away her damsel-in-distress image and taking up arms against the evil queen, Ravenna (Charlize Theron), in “Snow White and the Huntsman.” In her sword-wielding debut, Stewart leads the fight to reclaim the kingdom from Ravenna, and with that comes an inspiring call to arms. When the actress spoke to MTV News at the London premiere of the upcoming film, she revealed her concerns about pulling off the speech credibly. “We saved it until the very last day, actually,” she said. “We re-wrote it every single day of the shoot. Me and [director] Rupert [Sanders] had it in our back pocket the entire time. Ultimately, I don’t think that it makes a whole lot of sense, but it feels right. Do you know what I mean? It’s very up-in-the-air; it’s very subjective until the very end. Until some — I don’t want to give anything away, but until the very obvious line. It’s so Bravehearty. It’s crazy, but it’s good. It’s good.” Judging by the screaming that greeted Stewart when she hit the red carpet, it doesn’t seem like her fame is about to die down anytime soon, even with “The Twilight Saga” nearing its end. In fact, the actress said that the fans at the “Snow White” premiere reminded her of past “Twilight” crowds. “It feels very similar actually,” she said. “I was expecting it to be — not smaller — just, I didn’t think it would be like this.” And even though Stewart has yet to see boyfriend Robert Pattinson in “Cosmopolis,” she revealed he’s already seen her in action as the revamped Disney princess. “He likes it. He really likes it. It’s cool. It’s good. I’m really proud of it,” she said. As she should be, since the actress’ transformation into a rousing action star makes this film one of the most highly anticipated movies of the summer. So how exactly will she wind down after a successful premiere? In true Kristen Stewart fashion, the actress replied, “I love what I’m wearing, but I’m going to take this thing off, first off. [I’ll] probably get into some jeans.” Audiences can see Stewart don armor and chainmail when “Snow White and the Huntsman” hits theaters June 1. Kristen Stewart Recalls ‘Insane’ Nudity In ‘On The Road’

‘Twilight’ actress tells MTV News she thinks people are being ‘a little uptight’ about the film’s sex scenes. By Fallon Prinzivalli, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Kristen Stewart Photo: MTV News For “Twilight” fans who thought the sex scene in “Breaking Dawn – Part 1” were revealing, Kristen Stewart hasn’t showed you anything yet. When Stewart hits the big screen again in the film adaptation of Jack Kerouac’s American classic “On the Road,” she’ll be revealing a lot more than skimpy lingerie. The film contains quite a few sex scenes, including a threesome between Stewart and co-stars Garrett Hedlund and Sam Riley. Talk about risqu

Kristin Stewart Thought She Was A ‘Badass’ … Until ‘Snow White’

‘I hurt myself, but it was fun,’ she tells MTV News of going toe-to-toe with Charlize Theron in ‘Snow White and the Huntsman.’ By Kevin P. Sullivan, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Kristen Stewart in “Snow White and the Huntsman” Photo: Universal ” Snow White and the Huntsman ” has moviegoers excited for a number of reasons, but few have gotten as much attention as Kristen Stewart ‘s transformation into a full-on action star. During “MTV First: Snow White and the Huntsman,” Stewart and her onscreen nemesis, Charlize Theron , recalled what it was like having to battle each other and their wardrobes. When MTV News’ Josh Horowitz asked what factors led to Stewart joining the film, Theron offered up an explanation of her own. “Kicking my ass?” Theron said. Stewart couldn’t help but agree. “She was signed on for a while, so I was like ‘Charlize? I’ll definitely do it.’ ” When Stewart first signed on to the film, her previous experience with action led her to believe she could do it all. “It’s funny too because I became such a baby on the movie. I was scared of so much that I didn’t think that I was going to be,” she said. “I tasted little bits of action in other movies, and I thought that I was such a huge badass. I was like, ‘I love it. Honestly, I just love how it makes you feel. It feels real. You get to actually do it, and then at the end, you’re not like I faked it.’ I faked a lot. It was hard. I hurt myself, but it was fun.” The epic showdown between Snow White and the Evil Queen turned out to be an exhausting shoot for both Stewart and Theron, who eventually teamed up to make filming a little easier on themselves. “By day two, we kind of looked at each other and were like, ‘We don’t need to start this scene from the beginning to get into it. What’s the shot? Oh, we’re already on the ground? No, no, no, we’ll just be here on the ground,’ ” Theron said. Though their fights took a lot out of them, the metal costumes ended up being even more harmful. “The costumes were actually more damaging than the fight sequences,” Theron said. “I was way more bruised from my costume than I was from her.” Check out everything we’ve got on “Snow White and the Huntsman.” For young Hollywood news, fashion and “Twilight” updates around the clock, visit HollywoodCrush.MTV.com . Adam Yauch’s Beastie Boys Videos: A History

MTV News looks at the best Beastie clips of all time, including ones directed by MCA (or Nathanial Hornblower) himself. By Gil Kaufman Beastie Boys’ Adam Yauch Photo: Ron Galella/ Getty Images There are bands that make great music and others that make great videos. But there is a rare breed of act that makes both. Since their very earliest days, the Beastie Boys were in that latter category. From the frat-boy fun of 1986’s “(You Gotta) Fight for Your Right (To Party)” video to what will likely be their final clip, a 2011 all-star clip to promote the Hot Sauce Committee Part Two single “Make Some Noise” and the “Fight for Your Right Revisited” film, the B-Boys not only had fun, they made sure we did too. With the passing of Adam Yauch (a.k.a. MCA) on Friday (May 4) at age 47 following a three-year battle with cancer , MTV News takes a look back at some of the trio’s most beloved clips, as well as the ones directed by Yauch under his Swedish pseudonym, Nathaniel Hornblower. “(You Gotta) Fight for Your Right (To Party)” This is the one that launched MCA, Ad-Rock and Mike D to global stardom. The party anthem was accompanied by a very literal video in which, well, the fellas throw a crazy party and trash the joint. “No Sleep Till Brooklyn” Young, wild and free, the Boys lampoon heavy-metal knuckleheads after a cheesy club promoter turns them away when they show up with their “instruments” (i.e. scratch-ready records). Wearing metal wigs and Poison-worthy spandex, they soon strip down to their streetwise uniforms and start raising some hell and engaging in the kinds of shenanigans they became infamous for when they hit the road with Madonna on their first major tour. It’s silly and amateurish, but then again, so were they at that time. “Hey Ladies” In one of the first of many clips in which the trio would slip into a number of alternate personas, this video from Paul’s Boutique had it all: sushi chefs, eight-track tapes, disco dancing, human clocks, cowbells, pimp suits, a mariachi band, fake mustaches and goatees, scuba diving, Afro wigs, “Saturday Night Fever” homages, a “Free James Brown” subliminal message, a 1970s Vincent Van Gogh and the original appearance of booty pads. “So What Cha Want” They weren’t all high-concept. Yauch was behind the lens for this 1992 mind-tripper, which simply tracked the three MCs as they flexed and rapped their way through a forest tricked out with negative-image special effects intercut with ominous nature footage. “Sabotage” The ne plus ultra of Beastie videos, this ’70s cop-show spoof directed by pal Spike Jonze is one of the funniest and most creative clips in music-video history. Action-packed and simultaneously utterly ridiculous, the mini-movie finds the Boys cruising the streets of San Francisco in a late model sedan while chasing the bad buys in an increasingly ridiculous series of wigs, mustaches and costumes. Yauch appears as the dapper Sir Stewart Wallace, as well as Nathan Wind playing Cochese. Filmed by Hornblower, this classic spoof of Japanese monster movies from 1998’s Hello Nasty is again awash in absurd costumes as Yauch makes popping, locking killer robots look expensively cheap. Between shots of the haz-mat-suit-wearing MCs posing and rapping in Tokyo subway stations and streets into a fish-eye lens, we see their scientific alter egos trying to save their giant robot from getting short-circuited by a sea creature. “Body Movin’ ” Yauch/Hornblower went highbrow with the video for this Hello Nasty single, which was inspired by the beloved cult 1968 Italian cat-burglar caper “Danger Diabolik.” Once again, Yauch dressed himself and his partners-in-crime in absurd outfits and had them act out everything from laughable sword fights (complete with a bloody Yauch beheading) to catapult escapes, helicopter vs. car chase scenes and midair parachute wrestling matches. “Ch-Check It Out” Not as well known, this kinetic Hornblower clip from 2004 is another mix of aggressive into-the-camera rapping, with bits of everything from “Star Trek” homages and swamp airboat chases to the Boys in old-lady drag throwing fish across the avenue at their male counterparts.

What Do ‘Twilight’ Stars Have Lined Up Before ‘Dawn’?

Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and the rest are all keeping busy before the final installment hits theaters in November. By Jocelyn Vena Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner Photo: Dimitrios Kambouris/ WireImage With “Breaking Dawn – Part 2” nearly behind them , the stars of the “Twilight Saga” have some busy schedules ahead of the film’s November release for some other movies. Just this week alone, Robert Pattinson picked up two more films, hot off the heels of several other casting updates for his “Twilight” co-stars. It’s almost getting hard to know when and where you’ll see the actors next, so MTV News is rounding it all up in this little guide: Robert Pattinson He’s already banked two intriguing movies: “Cosmopolis,” which hits Cannes this month, and “Bel Ami,” which will be available on VOD Friday (May 4) before going to theaters June 8. But it’s been a busy week for RPattz. He just added two more projects to his docket: the Saddam Hussein thriller “Mission: Blacklist” and “Rover,” in which he’ll be hunted down by Guy Pearce for stealing a car. Kristen Stewart With less than a month until the release of “Snow White and the Huntsman,” the blockbuster will get the “MTV First” treatment on Tuesday, when Stewart and her co-stars will stop by MTV with an exclusive look at the movie. Later this year, that other book-to-film adaptation, “On the Road,” will hit theaters. In it, she plays Garrett Hedlund’s drug-loving teenage bride, Marylou. Stewart has lined up some more interesting projects, including a “micro-cameo” in her mom’s prison movie “K-11.” She’ll also explore the art of (faked) snuff films in the flick “Cali.” Taylor Lautner After leaving the toy flick “Stretch Armstrong,” Lautner recently picked up a completely different kind of movie: He’s set to star alongside Adam Sandler and crew in “Grown Ups 2.” Kellan Lutz He’s got a number of projects that still need to hit the big screen, like “Syrup, “Bumped” and “Java Heat.” But he’s not resting: Lutz just landed the title role in a performance-capture, 3-D take on “Tarzan,” according to The Hollywood Reporter ; Spencer Locke has been locked in to play his Jane. Ashley Greene Although she has several movies set to hit theaters, including this week’s “LOL” with Miley Cyrus and Demi Moore and the very scary “Apparition” out in August, she is also making a name for herself on the small screen. She’s attached to the ABC show “Americana” about real-life fashion designer Robert Soulter. Greene will play an up-and-coming Big Apple fashionista on the soap. In order to help tide you over until the big reveal next week, here’s a little interview snippet from Stewart in which she discusses her preparation for mastering the English accent required for her role as the titular Snow White. “I worked on it for a while, so I was really lucky, I didn’t have to jump right in,” Stewart said of her ample pre-production time. “I would have been terrified [if I had to jump in], so I felt really confident with it when I went into it. I didn’t feel like I was attached to specific lines and stuff, which I would kill myself if I felt that I had to know exactly what I was going to say.” Stewart has received rave reviews for her performance from director Rupert Sanders. “Kristen is a very driven, visceral, intuitive actress. From a director’s point of view, it’s great to get into her headspace,” Sanders told MTV News . “We did a lot of work together on the script and character, and she really helped inform me how that character was feeling, which really helped my process getting the character onscreen. Kristen was doing a lot of her stunt work, she was riding horses, she was jumping from high precipices into freezing cold water, she was fighting dwarves — she’s gung-ho.” Don’t miss “MTV First: Snow White and the Huntsman” on Tuesday, May 8, at 7:56 p.m. on MTV, followed by a Q&A with Kristen Stewart, Charlize Theron, Chris Hemsworth and Sam Claflin on MTV.com! Kristen Stewart’s Airport Strip Show

When I heard there were some pictures of angry Twilight hottie Kristen Stewart stripping out of her clothing at the airport, I thought I was in for a nice little treat, that is until I saw them. I want to say something sexy about this, but I’m not turned on in the slightest. I think climbing the rope in high-school gym class was more of a turn on than this garbage. I miss that rope, I wonder what it’s been up to. Call me.
