Wednesday’s Stockholm concert called off; singer tweeted photo of herself in a hospital bed Monday, explaining she had the flu. By Gil Kaufman Rihanna Photo: James Devaney/WireImage Rihanna is going to need a bit more time to chill before she can continue her overseas tour. After canceling a show in Malmo, Sweden , on Monday due to a bout with flu-like symptoms, the singer was forced to pull out from another show Wednesday night, when again, she felt under the weather. A spokesperson for tour promoter Live Nation told the Associated Press that RiRi felt ill before her concert in Stockholm on Wednesday night, and after consulting with a doctor, decided to cancel the show an hour before she was scheduled to take the stage. Live Nation’s Kristofer Akesson said Rihanna “is exhausted and doesn’t feel well,” but did not elaborate on what ails her. Promoters have said they plan to reschedule the gigs, but have not said when they will take place. She was able to perform at the first to two scheduled shows in Stockholm on Tuesday night. On Monday, Rihanna tweeted a photo of herself in a Swedish hospital bed with an IV in her arm along with an apologetic note that read, “Sorry Malmo!!! #LOUDtour.” She later released a statement, explaining, “I am sorry to everyone who was coming out to my show in Malmo. I was so excited to perform for you all. It would have been a great time … so much better than being sick with the flu, ugh! I’m really disappointed I couldn’t be there.” Rihanna is on the European leg of her worldwide Loud Tour , which began in the States in the summer. The tour — which has included openers J.Cole , B.o.B, Cee Lo Green and Calvin Harris — is expected to continue until the end of the year. The singer recently set another career mark when “We Found Love” became her 11th #1 hit, breaking the three-way record she shared with Stevie Wonder and Janet Jackson for 10 career #1 singles. According to Billboard, she also set a record by racking up 20 Hot 100 top-10 singles faster than any other solo artist in the chart’s history, reaching that pinnacle in six years and four months, which is five months faster than Madonna. Mamma Mia! is a celebrated American film where Meryl Streep tries to convince you she’s brain-damaged for 108 minutes. She has no guess as to who birthed her blonde, blue-eyed, ABBA -squawking daughter, but she’ll storm about a sunny Grecian isle until we all agree to forget she’s doing this for an obese stack of cash. What a Swedish fishy musical this is! It gives Stockholm Syndrome to thinking people. Let’s watch it 30 times, channel Agnetha and Anni-Frid using ethereal harmonies and beige lipstick, and recount the five greatest musical numbers in this insane, aquamarine spectacle of light, sound and sheer embarrassment.
We told you earlier that Elin Nordegren has a new boyfriend in Jamie Dingman , a wealthy American investor. Now we’ve got photo evidence! Evidence of them kissing, no less! The New York Post reports that Jamie Dingman, whose father is billionaire Michael Dingman, has been dating Elin Nordegren for several months. Swedish newspaper Expressen spotted Nordegren and Dingman kissing outside her Stockholm apartment earlier this week. Check it out: Elin Nordegren and New Boyfriend Pre-Elin, Dingman has been romantically linked to model/ actress Bridget Moynahan (Tom Brady’s ex) and Princess Madeleine of Sweden. The Post says Dingman splits time between China, the Bahamas, Florida and Sweden (Nordegren has homes in the latter two) as of late. For what it’s worth (a lot!), Nordegren recently put her three-bedroom, two bathroom Stockholm penthouse on the market for $5 million. The mother of two was last linked to a 35-year-old South African student she met at a Florida college where they were both taking classes. Tiger Woods? Who knows what that guy’s up to anymore.

It appears that President Obama is about to approve the extension of the Bush tax cuts and this has sent liberals into a frenzy. How to explain it? Well, Frank Rich of the New York Times has a very creative explanation : a weak Barack Obama has been spiritually kidnapped by Republicans and is now suffering from Stockholm Syndrome which allows him to sympathize with his captors. Here is Rich explaining it in “All the President's Captors” at his entertaining best: THOSE desperate to decipher the baffling Obama presidency could do worse than consult an article titled “Understanding Stockholm Syndrome” in the online archive of The F.B.I. Law Enforcement Bulletin. It explains that hostage takers are most successful at winning a victim’s loyalty if they temper their brutality with a bogus show of kindness. Soon enough, the hostage will start concentrating on his captors’ “good side” and develop psychological characteristics to please them — “dependency; lack of initiative; and an inability to act, decide or think.”

Girl With the Dragon Tattoo star Rooney Mara broke her silence from the Stockholm set with what will no doubt go down as the Great Nipple Ring Communiqué of 2010: “It’s -9 degrees Celsius. 37 takes down, only about 42 more to go. Every time [David Fincher] says, ‘Okay, last one,’ I fall for it. Every. Single. Time. If only I could get this damn shrug right, then maybe I could go inside and my nipple ring would have time to thaw out…” Hmm. Well, lob her into the front of the Oscar ’11 pack, what’s the harm?
