Michael Magers age 12 sings Justin Bieber’s new song Mistletoe. Mistletoe Lyrics – Justin Bieber Official Version It’s the most beautiful time of the year Lights fill the streets spreading so much cheer I should be playing in the winter snow But I’mma be under the mistletoe I don’t wanna miss out on the holiday But I can’t stop staring at your face I should be playing in the winter snow But I’mma be under the mistletoe With you, shawty with you With you, shawty with you With you under the mistletoe Everyone’s gathering around the fire Chestnuts roasting like a hot July I should be chilling with my folks, I know But I’mma be under the mistletoe Word on the street Santa’s coming tonight, Reindeer’s flying through the sky so high I should be making a list, I know But I’mma be under the mistletoe With you, shawty with you With you, shawty with you With you under the mistletoe With you, shawty with you With you, shawty with you With you under the mistletoe Aye, love, the wise men followed the star The way I followed my heart And it led me to a miracle Aye, love, don’t you buy me nothing I am feeling one thing, your lips on my lips That’s a merry, merry Christmas It’s the most beautiful time of the year Lights fill the streets spreading so much cheer I should be playing in the winter snow But I’mma be under the mistletoe I don’t wanna miss out on the holiday But I can’t stop staring at your face I should be playing in the winter snow But I’mma be under the mistletoe With you … http://www.youtube.com/v/_hfpHPKbavs?version=3&f=videos&app=youtube_gdata More: Mistletoe – Justin Bieber – Cover by Michael Magers – with Lyrics

Now, All Of A Sudden, Drizzy Was Never Heartbroken Over Rihanna… He Loves Serena, Rashida & Nicki Though

Of course with the release of a new album comes all types of deep introspective interviews, and your boy Drake always gives us plenty to discuss. Take his little chat with The Daily Beast , for example, where, once again, the topic of his heart-ing Rihanna was once again the topic… “I came straight from Toronto, just a kid that was trying to get out of my mom’s house, and the first person I meet is a girl that’s the biggest person you could possibly meet at my age,” said Drake. “So I meet her and it was just mind-blowing. I couldn’t believe she’d even want to talk to me.” He paused for a moment, adding, “I read some interview where they painted me as so sad and heartbroken, but we’re cool. I was never torn apart by that situation.” Really? But just last month you were… oh, never mind. And then, we discovered just how real “Tough Guy Drizzy” can get. Still, the story has persisted in the media, sparking recent rumors that Brown elbowed Drake in the head in retaliation. “I respect Chris Brown. I’d like to call myself a friend—I don’t know if I’m allowed to do that,” said Drake. “But I definitely didn’t get elbowed in my face. Somebody would’ve got knocked the f–k out.” That made us giggle a little… And then we checked out his cover feature for the December/January issue of Complex Magazine and realized this is really how this dude talks when he drops his Aaliyah aspirations . “I don’t give a [fawk]. I want to move through life in the most non-confrontational way possible, but I’m not a p****. Don’t ever get that mixed up. “My father taught me: ‘Don’t fear any man. Don’t ever fear another person.’ I don’t get myself mixed up with stupid [isht]. I get a lot of love. I don’t feel tension. I stand 6’2″. By no means am I the most threatening guy in the rap game, but there are very few people who will come up and say that isht to me in person. It’s always all smiles. That’s one thing I do not fear, anyone in this game. Nobody. Especially none of these guys that are paid to talk [isht].” Well, alrighty then Aubrey. Flip through and check out some more interesting quotes and photos from Drake’s Complex jawn, including the real deal about the next two famous women who will probably end up in his music.

Why The Dark Knight Rises Didn’t Film at Occupy Wall Street

Co-star Matthew Modine, promoting his short Jesus Was A Commie , explained why the notion to film the megabudget blockbuster at Occupy Wall Street was scrapped. “The wisdom of Christopher Nolan and his incredible team was that, while it seemed like a good idea to give [the protestors] an opportunity for work, to give them money, it would send a terrible message . At the end of the day, we’re making a movie. What’s happening down there is more important than that. To co-opt what’s happening there and around the country… we didn’t want to trivialize it. It was more important to respect what they’re doing than to do anything that could potentially trivialize the political situation downtown.” [ indieWIRE ]

Here’s What The Occupy Wall Street Raid Looked Like Through Cellphones

Russell Simmons, ?uestlove React To Zuccotti Park Raid

More celebs weigh in after Roots drummer tried to warn Occupy Wall Street protesters of police action via Twitter. By Gil Kaufman Russell Simmons Photo: MTV News Roots drummer ?uestlove just happened to be driving by New York’s Zuccotti Park late Monday night when he noticed something odd happening at the Occupy Wall Street site. “OMG, drivin down south st. near #OWS. Somethin bout to go down yo, swear I counted 1,000 riot gear cops bout to pull sneak attack #carefulyall,” he tweeted around midnight. He wasn’t wrong, as a short time later the NYPD stormed the site of the sit-in protest and forcibly removed the residents of “Freedom Park” in order to clean up the public square. Quest continued to issue his warnings for about an hour after his initial tweet, finally getting confirmation from fellow Twitter users a short time later that his suspicions were true. “I was tryna downplay it 1ce tweets were discrediting me,” he wrote once the raid was underway in the early Tuesday morning (November 15) hours. “But I swear I saw like 6 city blocks of nothin but riot gear cops under my bridge.” The Roots drummer wasn’t the only one who noticed some late night action in the vicinity. Comedian Kathy Griffin posted a tweet after leaving the Larry King Friars Club roast on Monday night, writing , “Whoa! On my late nite NYC walk. Passed Zuccoti park, saw a large group of people running. Nypd walking in formation in riot gear.” Click through to “Voices From Occupy Wall Street” — our interactive photo gallery — and get to know 20 young demonstrators’ motivations, hopes and goals. Hip-hop icon Russell Simmons urged protesters to keep up the fight. The Def Jam co-founder, who is slated to visit the Occupy Boston site on Tuesday and make what he called a “major” announcement that will “promote more equal and just democracy,” tweeted about the new location OWS members headed toward following the raid. “Foley square is the new zucootti for now here in the city..fyi #occupywallstreet,” he wrote early Tuesday morning. Russell Brand, who had visited OWS with Simmons, was none too pleased, writing , “#OWS moved out of Liberty Park ‘because they’re blocking 1st responders’- here’s my 1st response ‘that’s bull—t.’ ” There were plenty of others who weighed in as well, including Huffington Post founder Arianna Huffington, who lamented , “Quite a message to send — destroying, reportedly, 5K books at #OWS.” Actor/activist Mark Ruffalo added , “People in Liberty Park were pepper sprayed. Police beat women. Press pushed out so they could not witness the crackdown. Dehumanizing 99%#Ows.” Filmmaker Michael Moore promised that this was not the end, tweeting , “Phase Two of this massive, nonviolent MAJORITY movement will now commence. Wall St will wish they had just left it alone in the park. #ows,” while Public Enemy leader Chuck D said , “The People are thrown into the abyss of believing a flawed system. Thrown off track, thrown at, thrown a bone with the meat cleaned off it.” Share your thoughts on the Occupy movement in the comments below. Run-DMC Recall ‘My Adidas’ Impact, 25 Years Later

‘It was bigger than just talking about how many pairs of sneakers we had,’ Darryl ‘DMC’ McDaniels tells MTV News. By Alvin Blanco DMC Photo: MTV News NEW YORK — A quarter century after Run-DMC dedicated a song to their sneaker brand of choice, DMC is still rocking his Adidas for hip-hop. On Friday morning (November 11), Darryl “DMC” McDaniels of the seminal Queens rap group was in the Harlem USA clothing store on 125th Street signing autographs for fans who purchased a special Adidas Originals Superstar 80s model commemorating the 25th anniversary of Run-DMC’s “My Adidas.” The song was released in 1986 and appears on Run-DMC’s triple-platinum Raising Hell album. The hit record was inspired by more than just bragging and boasting about their collection of kicks, though. “It was a song that was about our sneakers, but it was bigger than just talking about how many pairs of sneakers we had,” DMC told MTV News. “It came from the place of people would look at the b-boys, the b-girls and go, ‘Oh, those are the people that cause all the problems in here.’ And, ‘Those young people are nothing but troublemakers and those young people don’t know nothing.’ So they was judging the book by its cover, without seeing what was inside of it.” DMC continued, “So me, Run and [Jam Master] Jay was like, ‘Yeah, we going to make a record about our Adidas.’ Yeah, we wear Adidas [with] no laces, we got gold chains, we got Cazals and all of that, but I go to St. John’s University. These Adidas stepped onstage at Live Aid. People gave and the poor got paid. It was about taking the image of the b-boy and b-girl and letting the world know we’re a people of vision, we’re inspiration, motivation, we’re educated too. So it’s kind of a kick in the face to the people that was hating on hip-hop.” Run-DMC’s lyrical certification of “shelltoe” Adidas led to the first-ever endorsement deal between a music act and an athletic company. The limited-edition “My Adidas” Superstar 80s model is the same shoe Run, DMC and Jam Master Jay wore back in the day with special details like the JMJ logo on the heel, “1986” stitched on the side and a gold lace lock designed to look like a dookie-rope gold chain. Only 1,986 of the shoes will be made for sale to the public. Back in 1986, Run-DMC said seeing all their fans rock Adidas sneakers and gear on the strength of their co-sign was actually a bit disconcerting. “It was scary,” DMC said. “We was going through Detroit, through Boston, through Chicago, through LA, through Virginia; every city we went to on the Raising Hell Tour, we would look out the back of the tour bus and everybody had the Adidas [track] suits from head to toe. The Cazals, the hats, the Kangols, and they had those Adidas on. You would think we would sit in the back of the bus and go, ‘Yo, we gonna get paid!’ ” However, the trio were aware of the responsibility their tastemaking influence carried. “Me, Run and Jay, we sat back and said, ‘We gotta watch what we do and we gotta watch what we say,’ ” DMC said. “Because the music, the image, the concepts was so powerful, if they’re going to wear Adidas because we say it’s cool, that means they would drink, abuse, fight because of this. We got nervous. I always remember Jay said, ‘Yo, this hip-hop stuff is really powerful, man. We gotta watch what we say and what we present to the world.’ ” Share your memories of Run-DMC’s late-’80s heyday in the comments! Related Artists Run-D.M.C.

Jay-Z Under Scrutiny For Selling Occupy Wall Street T-Shirts

Go here to read the rest:

Jay-Z has designed a t-shirt in support of the Occupy Wall Street protests, but a statement from his Rocawear company has some questioning his intent. The shirt reads “Occupy All Streets” crossing out the “W” and adding an “S”, a clever play on words and pretty consistent with the style of T-shirts the company has released in the past. However, the Business Insider asked if any profits from the sale of the shirt would go to the organizers of the Wall Street protests. Rocawear responded with the following statement: “The ‘Occupy All Streets’ T-shirt was created in support of the ‘Occupy Wall Street’ movement. Rocawear strongly encourages all forms of constructive expression, whether it be artistic, political or social. ‘Occupy All Streets’ is our way of reminding people that there is change to be made everywhere, not just on Wall Street. At this time we have not made an official commitment to monetarily support the movement.” Jay-Z is by no means the first person to create paraphernalia inspired by the protests. An entire collection of shirts can be found at websites like THIS (CLICK HERE) . Is Jay-Z being questioned simply because he is a bajillionaire? And if proceeds were to go to anyone, who would they go to? The Occupy Movement is hardly a monolith and has many different factions. Yes, it is ironic to capitalize on a movement against Capitalism but isn’t that the American way?
