Sunday morning two people were bound while Yung Joc’s recording studio studio was robbed. The AJC reported the robbery happened around 5:30am Sunday morning. Two caretakers who help run the studio got out of their car and were forced into the studio and then duct taped and bound. The robbers allegedly stole about $50k in studio equipment and cash. The two care takers eventually broke free and ran for help to a nearby neighbor.

According to Deadline New York, the ‘Monster’ director left due to creative differences. By Kara Warner Patty Jenkins Photo: Getty Images Patty Jenkins’ journey to Asgard has been cut short. According to Deadline New York , the “Monster” director has left the production of “Thor 2.” The site reports that Marvel Studios is already in communication with agencies in its search for a new director. Given the sequel’s July 26, 2013, release date, a replacement is expected to be found quickly. Although Jenkins allegedly left due to creative differences, Deadline also reported that she is still in good standing with Marvel and might end up working on another of the studio’s numerous superhero films in development. Jenkins is now the second director to leave “Thor 2,” following director Kenneth Branagh’s announcement earlier this year that he wouldn’t be returning to the franchise. Branagh said his experience with “Thor” was a “joy” and that his decision was due to timing, not any ill will toward the franchise or the studio. “Of all the American comics, ‘Thor’ was the only one I was really familiar with from my childhood, and it intrigued me, maybe because it was a bit more European, with those Viking helmets and its basis in Norse myth,” Branagh told Variety. “The scale was exciting, and I did love the character and the story. It had depth and gravity in addition to being an entertaining ride. “I certainly wouldn’t rule out a return to Marvel,” he added. “We had an excellent collaboration.” Check out everything we’ve got on “Thor 2.” For breaking news and previews of the latest comic book movies — updated around the clock — visit SplashPage.MTV.com . ‘Nicki’s back in the studio, so we’re looking to drop Nicki in the first quarter,’ Cash Money boss Birdman says. By Jocelyn Vena Nicki Minaj Photo: Frank Micelotta/Getty Images The countdown is on, Barbz. Nicki Minaj ‘s Cash Money boss Birdman is dishing on when the fierce female MC plans to drop her follow-up to Pink Friday . “Nicki’s back in the studio, so we’re looking to drop Nicki in the first quarter,” Brian “Birdman” Williams said in an interview with Billboard.com . He went on to dish that Minaj could potentially drop new music sometime before year-end. “Maybe this year? I don’t know,” he added about releasing a single before 2012 strikes. “We’re really thinking it out. But she’s in the studio, and we’re looking real soon, because she’s ready to go and we’re ready to go with her.” Earlier this month, BET reported that Minaj posted a blog post about how her alter-ego Roman would play a part in her new music. Although the post was later removed, the MC teased that Roman is out for revenge. “Roman will be in rare form this time. You know why? Cuz he no longer gives a f—,” she wrote. “He has two more weeks in boarding school. We’re going to pick him up now. When he lands, he will address the nation in the form of music. He will also announce the date.” Over the summer, Roman was the topic of discussion when Minaj teased her new LP . “I don’t think I’m hitting up anybody for features for this sophomore album,” she told us. “Roman … possibly. But I never give away all my secrets.” Whether or not Roman will have anything to do with this record, Minaj’s Pink Friday producer Kane Beatz recently told MTV News, “We got one so far. She’s in L.A. goin’ crazy. … She just started, so she’s really picking her music and picking the songs. She’s real selective. She’ll pick all the beats before she even starts writing, so right now, we’re just getting music together, and it’s goin’ crazy right now.” Related Artists Nicki Minaj

‘Everybody debated it a lot,’ screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg says of back-and-forth over where to split the finale. By Terri Schwartz, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Robert Pattinson in “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1” Photo: Summit Entertainment If you were among the devoted “Twilight” fans who lined up to see “Breaking Dawn – Part 1” over the weekend, then you already know the film has a pretty dramatic conclusion. But MTV News has learned that the first of the two-part finale wasn’t always intended to end where it does, even if it seems like the obvious choice. When we caught up with screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg and director Bill Condon shortly before “Part 1” hit theaters, the creative duo admitted to a lot of early discussions trying to decide the best place to split the final two movies. While Rosenberg and Condon felt that the current ending was the most “organic” place to pause before “Part 2,” the studio wanted to make sure it was a spot in the story line that would best serve the entire series. “We went back and forth a lot and, initially, this seemed like a very obvious place for the split, but then as the creative process went forth, myself, the studio and [author] Stephenie [Meyer], [producer] Wyck [Godfrey] and everybody debated it a lot,” Rosenberg said. “I tried a couple different things but ultimately this was a natural, very organic place to split it.” Condon said he was always a defender of the existing split, even if many members of the creative team debated him on it. “When I came on, I really felt very strongly this is where it should be [divided],” he told us. Fans of Meyer’s novel should have a general idea of where “Part1” ends even if they haven’t seen the movie. But if you’re afraid of spoilers, we’ll just say that Bella (Kristen Stewart) undergoes some pretty significant changes as the film winds to a close. Rosenberg actually considered a split that would have pushed “Part 1” even further along in the novel. “Pushing from further into the second movie, pushing into the first act of the second movie,” she said of the other options she had toyed with. “But it wasn’t organic, it wasn’t right.” Do you think the filmmakers chose the right place to split the two “Breaking Dawn” films? ‘He gave us Eminem and 50 Cent, Snoop Dogg, Game … let the man have fun,’ War Music rapper tells ‘RapFix Live.’ By Rob Markman, with reporting by Sway Calloway Dr. Dre Photo: MTV News Dr. Dre made waves last week when he said he was ready to take “a little bit of a break” from music after he finishes working with Kendrick Lamar and Slim the Mobster . When Slim appeared on “RapFix Live” Wednesday, the Aftermath rapper said, “For the past time that I’ve been around, I know for a fact that [Dre] hasn’t been out the studio long. Let him have a break. “He gave us Eminem and 50 Cent, Snoop Dogg, Game, he gave us so many different things in his time. There are some rappers who haven’t gave us nothing. So, let the man have fun now.” At the opening of the Beats by Dre pop-up store in Manhattan, New York, the hip-hop icon told Fader TV , “I’ve been working on music for 27 years now, and the longest I’ve ever been out of the studio in 27 years has been two weeks. I’m never gonna stop music — it’s like air to me. I’m gonna take a little bit of a break, enjoy some time with the family.” But can we at least get Detox before he goes? “I’m hoping,” said Slim, who recently released his War Music mixtape. “That’s what we’re shooting for, right?” Several years in the making, there hasn’t been a hip-hop album shrouded in as much mystery as Dre’s third solo affair. Even Slim, who is in the Doc’s camp, isn’t sure which songs will make the final track list, though he has heard several, including a song with Jay-Z and another with Drake. “It’s a process, so I don’t even know what songs are really on the album and what songs aren’t on the album,” Slim said, before noting that, ultimately, Dre isn’t too concerned with high-profile features. “He’s picky; he don’t care about that name stuff. It’s gotta be appeasing to him and what he likes.” Were you surprised by Dr. Dre’s announcement? Sound off below! Related Videos Rick Ross, Meek Mill, N.O.R.E. ‘I really feel like, this song, it’s going to be big,’ producer Hit-Boy tells MTV News. By Jocelyn Vena, with reporting by Matt Elias Rihanna Photo: Dave J. Hogan/ Getty Images Rihanna has given fans a taste of her November 21 release Talk That Talk in the form of two singles: the Calvin Harris party starter “We Found Love” and the Dr. Luke club banger “You Da One.” The album features nine other booty-shaking, NSFW tunes about getting frisky, with production credits from a number of noted hitmakers like Stargate, Bangladesh and The-Dream. Another producer, Hit-Boy, made the final cut with his sexy, instructional “Watch n’ Learn.” “She definitely murdered it vocally,” he told MTV News. “I was just at the studio last week listening to a mix of it, and man, she killed it. I really feel like, this song, it’s going to be big. I’m really excited about it.” The track wasn’t originally slated for any artist in particular when Hit-Boy (who has produced for Lil Wayne, the Throne, Eminem and Jennifer Lopez, to name a few) started working on it. “I kind of went into the situation blind, but I had this track I actually started at home, and the one day I was at the studio with this amazing [songwriter] Priscilla Renea, and I was going to tell her to go home, but I was like, ‘Stay here and see if you could come up with an idea for this,’ ” he recalled of the track’s origin. “And by the time I got back to the house she sent me the idea through iChat, and I was like, ‘Man, this is crazy.’ So we got it to [Rihanna], and they went crazy, and she cut it, and that’s what it is!” The song, like many on the album, focuses on two people getting frisky. So why is Rihanna feeling so hot and bothered this time around? “I mean it’s called Talk That Talk, and she’s definitely talking that talk — especially, I know, from my record,” he said. “It’s called ‘Watch n’ Learn,’ and people will understand what it’s about once it comes out. It’s a very sexy record, but it’s fun. It’s [got] great melodies; it’s catchy; the beat knocks. It’s so many different elements to it.” What are you expecting from Rihanna’s new album?
