Justin Bieber Drives The Girls Wild In London

After promoting his new album, My World 2.0 on GMTV in London, Justin Bieber drove hundreds of screaming schools crazy while leaving the studio. Click through the pictures to see the chaos and as well as a few “overwhelmed” security guards who look like they would rather be working a Hell’s Angels motorcycle rally than keeping teenage girls from ripping the clothes off of the 16-year-old Canadian singer.

Gucci Mane Recorded BurrrPrint 2HD Tracks From Jail

‘He rapped a cappella over the phone, and we matched up the beat to it in the studio,’ DJ Holiday tells Mixtape Daily. By Shaheem Reid Gucci Mane’s BurrrPrint 2HD mixtape Photo: Brick Squad/Warner Bros. The O.D.: A Mixtape Daily Exclusive On Tuesday, we slid you the exclusive gem that Gucci Mane is putting out a mixtape album on April 13. While Gucci is in jail now for a probation violation, we have his main accomplice in all this, DJ Holiday, to let us in on the odds and ends. “It’s the warm-up before Writing’s on the Wall 2, ” Holiday said of The BurrrPrint 2HD. “I talk to him every other day. His spirit is up. He’s 1,000. He called me to get an update of what’s going on in the city. My tapes is crazy. Waka is the hottest thing out here. Nicki is on fire. He was like, ‘You think they miss our tapes?’ I was like, ‘Hell yeah.’ He said, ‘Let’s do something. [But] you know I can’t move like I want to.’ I said, ‘Let’s knock it out on some over-the-phone sh–.’ “They gonna really f— with the mixtape, because he’s really rapping on the tape from the phone,” Holiday continued. “We matched up a beat with Drumma Boy, and [Gucci] rapped on it. But he rapped a cappella over the phone, and we matched up the beat to it in the studio. It’s f—ing bananas. I thought it was creative. You know how Shyne was locked up and you’d get a freestyle from the phone? I said, ‘Let’s take it another step.’ We recorded him rapping on the phone in the mic … and went from there. Then we matched it with the beat Drumma Boy made. It came out crazy, and it sounds good too.” “New Gucci Mane mixtape is going to be crazy!!!” Drumma Boy said. “Gucci kept tellin’ me how much of an impact he wanted to make with this mixtape, and with him being incarcerated, we had to be very creative in how we got this done. One of my favorite records and most difficult records that I’ve ever produced was BurrrPrint 2 off the mixtape. He called me one day I was in the studio making beats, and he told me he had written some new verses and wanted me to hear them. So I stopped doing what I was doing to listen. After five seconds of listening, I was like, ‘Stop. I’mma record you while you rap through the phone.’ I recorded his verses but later realized that there was no consistent tempo. This means I had to chop up each word for word to punch into tempo, which took me about five to six hours. After I had lined up his verses, I then began to add music around the verses, structure the build, and then create a hook that matched the intensity of his verses. Overall, I spent a good two days producing that record, and it’s a great feeling to see people’s reactions after them finding out I produced the record of Gucci Mane through the phone.” The other records on BP2HD are unreleased records Gucci had in the stash. “Anybody who knows Gucci, they know his work ethic in that studio is ridiculous,” Holiday said. “I got 10 songs in one damn day. All brand-new records, bruh. Maybe one record you might know. Everything else is brand-new. One song is with Ludacris called ‘Atlanta Is a Zoo.’ It’s a club banger. One song is crazy with Jim Jones. He’s got another one with Rick Ross and Yo Gotti. Heavy features on there. It’s a mixtape album. The label [Asylum] is going all out with it.” Shawty Redd and Fat Boi are among those who contributed tracks. Drumma Boy handled most of the production. Gucci’s camp is hoping BurrrPrint 2HD will tide fans over until Mr. LaFlare gets home. As soon as Gucci comes home from jail, he plans to record the sequel to his mixtape The Writing’s on the Wall and later put out his album ( The State vs. Radric Davis: The Appeal ). DJ Holiday’s next mixtape is Waka Flocka Flame’s Flockaveli. Holiday’s debut album will be released later this year and called either The Tape or We Working. Justin Bieber Thinks Aziz Ansari’s ‘Baby’ Parody Is ‘Hilarious’

‘I loved the video,’ Bieber says about Ansari’s Funny or Die offering. By Jocelyn Vena Justin Bieber Photo: MTV News “Parks and Recreation” star Aziz Ansari’s alter ego Raaaaaaaandy has declared war on Justin Bieber . In a Funny or Die video , he claims that Bieber stole his song “Baby” from him, and Raaaaaaaandy sits down to dish all about the day that Bieber (played by a lookalike) stopped by his studio, heard Raaaaaaaandy’s “Baby Baby” and then later released his own soundalike tune “Baby.” “Two months ago I was in the studio, working on the Raaaaaaaandy mixtape and Justin Bieber stops by … what happens next?” he teased, before continuing with his tale. “That’s real nice, man,” Fake Bieber tells Raaaaaaaandy before shooting him and telling him to keep his mouth shut until he releases his own version of the hit track. What happens next? Bieber trashes Raaaaaaaandy’s studio and leaves Raaaaaaaandy a message not to mess with him. As it turns out, the real Justin Bieber finds the whole video pretty hilarious. “Yeah yeah yeah! I saw it! It was hilarious. I loved the video,” Bieber told MTV news. “He did a great job and the so-called Justin Bieber in the video was hilarious.” And while Bieber gives a big “maybe” to collaborating with Raaaaaaaandy in the future, Ansari has made it clear on his Twitter page that he’s serious about getting Bieber back for the plagiarism. “Swear I just saw 12 yr old with a doo rag … messing w/my car. Brakes might get cut,” he joked. “#BiebersAfterMe.” Related Artists Justin Bieber

On Johnny Cash’s Birthday, A Look Back At His Final Interview

Shortly before his death in 2003, the Man in Black talked about death, drugs, and hearing from fans. By Kyle Anderson, with reporting by Kurt Loder Johnny Cash talks to Kurt Loder in 2003 Photo: MTV News The great country legend Johnny Cash passed away in 2003, but his legacy remains alive. This week saw the release of American VI: Ain’t No Grave , which pulls together the last of the songs Cash recorded with superproducer Rick Rubin. And on Wednesday, Cash’s 1958 tune “Guess Things Happen That Way” became the 10 billionth song purchased from the iTunes Store . That milestone earned downloader Louie Sulcer a $10,000 iTunes Store gift card, as well as phone calls from Apple CEO Steve Jobs and Cash’s daughter Rosanne. Today would have been the Man in Black’s 78th birthday, and in honor of the outlaw icon, we take a look back at MTV News’ conversation with Cash just a few weeks before his death in 2003. Kurt Loder visited Cash’s sprawling estate in Tennessee and talked openly to the legend about his career, his music and — in very frank terms — about the prospect of death. The conversation would be Cash’s final interview. He never made it to 2003’s Video Music Awards, where he was nominated for six prizes for the clip for his cover of Nine Inch Nails’ “Hurt.” Cash’s remarkable career renaissance was in large part thanks to Rubin, who stripped Cash’s sound down to its core parts and applied his wise, haunting, world-weary voice to a number of traditional standards and covers. The American albums grabbed the attention of stars like Kid Rock and Bono, put Cash back on the radio and introduced him to an entirely new generation of fans. “I hear from a lot of fans,” Cash told Loder. “I appreciate all that — all the praise and the glory. It doesn’t change the way I feel about anything, though. I just do what I do.” Johnny Cash released his first recordings for Sun Records in 1955 and was an integral part of both the country scene and the birth of rock and roll. Success came quickly, and he indulged in the rock and roll lifestyle. “There was a package of myself, Jerry Lee [Lewis], Roy Orbison and Carl Perkins,” he said. “We were all young and wild and crazy. As crazy as you can get. We discovered amphetamines — or I did, anyway. Jerry thought he was going to Hell for not preaching. He went to seminary and wanted to be a preacher, but he turned to rock and roll. He would tell us all we were going to hell. I said, ‘Maybe you’re right, Killer. Maybe you’re right.’ ” At the time of the interview, Cash was no stranger to death. In May 2003, his longtime wife and performing partner June Carter Cash passed away. But despite his failing health and loss of his life partner, Cash continued recording with Rubin. “She told me to go to work,” Cash told Loder. “Three days after the funeral, I was in the studio. Everybody thought I was crazy, but I was in the studio for two weeks. It was great therapy for me.” A man of great faith, Cash knew that the end was coming, but he didn’t fear death and was comfortable with the idea of his own mortality. “I expect my life to end pretty soon. I’m 71 years old, but I have unshakeable faith,” he said. “I’ve never turned my back on God. I never thought that God wasn’t there. He’s my counselor, my wisdom — all the good things in my life come from him.” When Loder asked, “Where do you think we go?” Cash knew right away. “We all hope to go to Heaven,” he told him.
