Jeremy Roloff Really Might Be Buying His Family’s Farm

Jeremy Roloff and Audrey Roloff left Little People, Big World just over a year ago. But the couple has now made it more clear than ever before: They may soon be major players once again in the Little People, Big World universe . Confused? Let us explain… Audrey and Jeremy left this beloved TLC series in August of 2018 because they had simply grown sick of being followed around by cameras after so many years as program leads. They also wanted to pursue other business opportunities, which the husband and wife have done with great success over the past several months. They host a popular podcast… they wrote a best-selling memoir… they still run the company Beating 50 Percent. Of late, however, Jeremy has hinted that he’d be interested in owning a farm someday. And not just any farm, either — but Roloff Farms! In late July, after Matt Roloff made it pretty clear that he’s ready to move on and retire to Arizona with girlfriend Caryn Chandler, Jeremy wrote that he has “ideas and dreams for (hopefully) Roloff farms.” Asked by a follower why he hasn’t just gone ahead and purchased the property from his parents, Jeremy pointed to the cost . On a second occasion this summer, Jeremy emphasized that the farm so often featured on Little People, Big World would be “very expensive” to buy. This may be true —  but whether it’s because his parents could give him a deal or because Jeremy thinks he’ll be able to afford the farm someday, he very recently implied that running Roloff Farms is a strong possibility for him and Audrey down the line. First, consider the caption Jeremy wrote alongside the following image of himself and his daughter, after they visited some friends: Did I mention that Ember loved our trip to @fivemarysfarms Haha. If you didn’t know, they have the best meat ever and they ship their meat nationwide! Give it a try you won’t regret it. There’s something about the farm/ranch life that touches me deep down. I love it. This trip and watching Ember play definitely reawakened us to a yearning & burning we have for land. We’ve always wanted property, but it obviously takes more than want to achieve something. It feels like time to make decisions and a game plan. Make decisions? Come up with a game plan?!? Jeremy is obviously referencing a possible farm purchase here… which is why a follower responded to his post by asking: “Is the family farm not an option? I always assumed you and Zach would take over from your parents.” To this inquiry, Jeremy answered: “It totally is an option!” So there we have it! So exciting, right?!? For those unaware, Amy Roloff sold a portion of the farm to her ex-husband, Matt, a few months ago. She’s in the process of looking for a home off the property, but she still has some control over the farm. She and Matt still own most of it together, with Matt telling a fan this summer that he’s pretty much done with running it. “I would love Amy to buy her side of the farm and let me move to AZ full time,” he wrote at the time. “She’s scared to death of the work and attention it would take.” To learn more about the current state of Roloff Farms, click HERE . Source: Peopleimages / Getty It’s Labor Day Weekend – many of us are chasing the last of summer. Before kids go back to school or Summer Fridays come to an end, Black women are jetting off for some last minute vacations. If the vacation involves water, whether it’s a yacht week or a beach, when discussing the trip, this follow up question ensues: how should I wear my hair ? As someone that loves the water, I want to be able to dunk my head freely underneath and jump off the side of a boat. While wearing my hair natural is always an option. Honestly, it’s an absolute pain at the end of the day, to then have to go give it 1-2 hours of TLC. Also, who wants to be twisting or braiding their hair while on a vacation? I’ve had friends rock ponytails and crotchet. Both options by the end of a 4-5 day vacation would “hold up” but it would be matted and immediately time to come out. Felicia Leatherwood stopped by Hello Beautiful and ended the debate, “Wear your hair in braids or crotchet.” Braids are easy to manage and can easily air dry. When your hair is braided after you are at the sea of the pool, make sure you rinse your braids with fresh water. Then tie down the top and let air dry. You can even do this after you are done swimming at the pool and still lay out during the day. To make sure the braids themselves don’t frizz, bring along the mousse of your choice. Take the mousse and rub it between your hands, then rub your braids once in a downward direction, letting the mousse coat the braids. The mousse will give the braids a nice refresh. Also, in a protective style, don’t forget your scalp! Make sure you cleanse and oil your scalp to keep your roots healthy. Leatherwood shared, “On your scalp you need oil. It’s nourishment. It’s revitalizing the scalp on a cellular level. It’s helpful to produce more sebum.” How do you rock your hair when you are on a beach vacation? Share with us in the comment section! Jim Bob Duggar: Forcing ALL His Sons to Work for Him?

The Duggar gals are firmly in the spotlight this summer, between Jinger’s rebellious move to LA , and that pile of babies on the way. But we haven’t entirely forgotten about the (admittedly less interesting) Duggar boys.  Lately, fans have been wondering why these guys can’t seem to hold down a job unless it’s working for Jim Bob. It’s weird, right? With a family this large, you’d expect its members to have all kinds of careers. Basically, in the Duggar family, the men work, and the women get married and have kids. It’s like a rule, and they’re apparently very into it. It all goes back to the family’s religion. They’re devout followers of the Institute in Basic Life Principles ministry. The Duggar way of life stresses family ties, so much so that they basically disowned Jinger for moving away. So it’s not surprising that the men like to keep their jobs in the family when possible.  And let’s not forget Jim Bob’s many business holdings. The man has a successful real estate business, a car lot, and several airplanes, not to mention a hit reality TV show about his life. Jim Bob would obviously have no problem finding a job for every man in the family. He’d probably put the kids to work too, if it weren’t for those pesky child labor laws. Of the boys who are old enough to work, Joseph, Josiah, and Jason Duggar are all apparently going into real estate. They’ll be following in the footsteps of Jim Bob, who began his career in real estate. Jim Bob reportedly still makes good money for the family through his real estate business, despite shifting his focus to Counting On . Hopefully the real estate game will be kind to Joseph, Josiah, and Jason. Jim Bob’s older boys weren’t exactly successful in their own careers. Josh Duggar, the eldest, had a brief but disastrous stint in politics. For two years Josh was the executive director of FRC Action, an organization that lobbied on behalf of the conservative hate group, Family Research Council. He was brought on board because the FRC assumed his fame would help their message appeal to kids. But as we now know, it was actually kids who appealed to Josh. In 2015 it came to light that Josh had molested five underage girls, and his family had helped him cover it up. 19 Kids and Counting was cancelled, and so was Josh’s career. Josh returned home in disgrace and now works at a used car dealership owned by his father. Josh’s younger brother, 29-year-old John-David, has a less loathsome story, though the bar is low. John has his pilot’s license, but he’s never quite reached the heights of success with it. Apparently he mostly uses it for flying his huge family around, instead of making an actual living as a pilot.  John is also a constable in Washington County, Arkansas, though this is reportedly an unpaid volunteer position. So what is he doing for money? Perhaps he and Jim Bob have some kind of arrangement? We wonder what kind of benefits come with being the Duggars’ unofficial sky chauffeur. It seems like the Duggar family patriarch is happy to put his kids to work for the family, even if it’s not an actual position. The only exceptions seem to be for Jim Bob’s sons-in-law, who married into the family and don’t yet work for Jim Bob. Ben Seewald, who’s married to Jessa Duggar, is regularly blasted by fans for being unemployed. Jill’s hubbie Derick Dillard is also unemployed, but since he’s in law school, he has a pretty great excuse. Jinger, the “rebellious” one, married a minister. Truly wild stuff, huh? But her husband, Jeremy Vuolo, used to be a professional soccer player, which actually is pretty cool. So overall, the Duggar guys are all either unemployed, working in the church, or working for Jim Bob. What’s going on with the Duggar men? It would be unfair (and possibly untrue) to dismiss the Duggar boys unilaterally as clods who couldn’t make in the real work force. But it’s worth mentioning that the IBLP strongly discourages its members from seeking a college education. After all, during their education, they might be exposed to a viewpoint that isn’t shared by the church, God forbid. In fact, IBLP instructs men to avoid working for secular companies or employers. Men in the church are also discouraged from taking orders from a woman, even in a professional capacity. And this is what’s at the root of this whole trend of Duggar guys just working for themselves. They have a feverish obedience to fringe religious beliefs that prevent them from working for non-Christians or even women. We hear about the women in this community being opressed, at least from an outsider’s perspective. But this way of life doesn’t leave a lot of choices for the men either, and we can see that in the careers these guys have chosen. It’s either work to serve your family, work to serve your faith community, or don’t work at all. But the family is always growing, and several more Duggar boys have yet to reach working age. Here’s hoping they buck the trend. View Slideshow: The Duggars: Hated in Their Hometown?

Hilarious: ‘Good Boys’ Cast Gets Candid About Cursing, Rated R Movies, Crushes & More

Continued here:

It’s not often you get to see a group of young, funny, professional kids carrying an entire Rated R film on their backs — but alas, Jacob Tremblay , Keith L. Williams and Brady Noon did just that. The brilliant preteens star in one of the summer’s most anticipated comedies, Good Boys ; produced by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg who also gave us classics like Superbad . The profane and hilarious flick tells the story of three sixth grade boys who ditch school and embark on an epic journey while carrying accidentally stolen drugs, being hunted by teenage girls, and trying to make their way home in time for a long-awaited party. I caught up with the kid stars of the movie, and Molly Gordon (who plays Hannah) as they dished on everything from awkward crushes to the first Rated R film they were allowed to watch. Noon: Mine was Caddyshack, with Bill Murray. I watched that with my dad. Williams: Mine was Superbad. Noon: Really? When me and you watched it, that was your first Rated R movie? Williams: That’s the one that I was allowed to see. (Laughs) Although Jacob couldn’t remember his first R Rated flick, he did give some great advice to young teens that are having a hard time fitting in. 15 Deaths That Murdered Good TV Shows

Killing off TV characters is risky business.  You run the risk of ruining a good show, and pissing off a lot of fans in the process.  We've rounded up 15 deaths that completely were essentially the death knell for their respective shows.  Do you agree with these takes? 1. Smurf – Animal Kingdom This one is very recent, but what the heck? Ellen Barkin’s Smurf was one of the only reasons to tune into Animal Kingdom. She was quick-witted, badass, and crazy. Those are great traits for a TV character! 2. Rhaegal – Game of Thrones Game of Thrones spent years saying just how strong the dragons were, so to have Euron wipe Rhaegal out with ease left many fans wondering what the heck the creators were thinking of when they thought it would be a good twist. It was the first major disappointment in what was ultimately a terrible final season for the HBO epic. 3. Tara – True Blood True Blood turned to crap long before the pitiful series finale, and that was thanks in large part to the death of Tara aka one of the best characters. Tara’s relationship with Pam was going to strength to strength when she was killed off in a pretty nonsensical way. 4. Laurel – Arrow Just when it seemed like the writers were finally starting to realize that Katie Cassidy’s character had a huge fanbase, they killed her off. It was pretty bizarre, and the backlash resulted in them bringing back another iteration of the character that ultimately became known as Laurel. 5. Mike -Desperate Housewives Desperate Housewives managed to remain fresh for most of its eight-season run, but the show will always be remembered for jumping the shark ahead of its finale when it opted to kill off Mike Delfino. 6. Cristal – Dynasty When Dynasty Season 1 ended with Cristal in a burning barn with a gunshot to the abdomen, fans thought the character would make a miraculous recovery for Season 2. However, Nathalie Kelley was written out of the series, and another actress stepped in as a new Cristal. Yikes. View Slideshow

Jenelle Evans & David Eason: We’re BACK and Our Family Is Better Than Ever!

It's been one month since Jenelle Evans and David Eason regained custody of their kids. Of course, it's also been several weeks since Jenelle has had any kind of steady employment, so most of that time has been spent launching business ventures and posting sponsored content so that the Swamp Spouses won't be forced to get real jobs. But if you were worried that David and Jenelle are neglecting their kids again, fear not. At the very least, they're taking the time to snap pics of them and sell the content to tabloids, which is totally the same as parenting, right? Yes, Evans took to Instagram today to inform fans that she and David are “BACK!” (Someone should tell her that she never went anywhere; it was her kids who were relocated.) She then encouraged her followers to click the link in her bio , but we have the latest on Jenelle's summer, in case you want to keep up on the latest without helping her get paid for doing nothing. We're just trying to do our part: 1. They’re Baaaack! Jenelle Evans and David Eason want fans to know they’re on the rebound. They’re still unemployed and widely despised, but we guess that’s their idea of a rebound. 2. A Growing Family Jenelle and David don’t even have custody of all their kids (They each have a son that lives with his grandmother.), but hey — it looks like they’re gonna end the summer with three more kids than they started with! 3. Speaking Too Soon? Actually, there’s a couple weeks before Labor Day, so we suppose they could still mess this thing up, but for now, it looks as though the Easons will start fall as a semi-complete family 4. Summertime and the Living’s Swampy For the last four weeks, at least, Jenelle has had most of her kids at home, and she wants to be praised for it, dammit! 5. Whatever You Say She also wants you to know that they immediately put the trauma of being forcibly relocated behind them and had a totally awesome summer. 6. Wheeling and Dealing Anyway, that’s the fairy tale the Easons sold to Us Weekly in exchange for a link to the puff piece about Jenelle that appeared on their site today. View Slideshow

Can’t Nobody Tell Him Nothiiin: Lil Nas X Reveals What Made Him Come Out As Gay, Covers TIME Magazine In Gitty Up Gear

Source: Rich Fury / Getty Lil Nas X Covers TIME Magazine To say that the Summer belonged to Lil Nas X is an understatement. At just 20 years old, the Georgia rapper went from a unknown Twitter troll, to an extremely well known troll, whose song “Old Town Road” dethroned Mariah Carey and Boyz II Men as the longest-running No. 1 song in history. Now you can’t go anywhere without seeing his face, or hearing that song and it’s many remixes. View this post on Instagram When @lilnasx's debut single “Old Town Road” exploded online early this year and began climbing the charts, industry prognosticators anticipated a quick rise and fall. It’s now the longest-running No. 1 song in history, having occupied the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100 for 19 weeks. It’s been streamed more than a billion times on @spotify alone. All of this has made “Old Town Road” the defining sound of the year, a slurry, genre-busting interpolation of two quintessential American musical genres: #country and hip-hop. Yet even from his perch, writes Andrew R. Chow, Lil Nas is still an outlier. There aren’t many black stars in country #music; there aren’t many queer stars in #hiphop. There aren’t many queer black stars in American culture, point-blank. The fact that Lil Nas has risen so far and so fast testifies not only to his skill, but also to the erosion of the systems that for generations kept #artists like him on the sidelines. At a time when debates about categorization and identity are ubiquitous, Lil Nas X represents a more unified vision of the future, one in which a young #queer black man can dominate popular #culture by being unapologetically himself. “Everything lined up for this moment to take me to this place,” he says now. “Not to sound self-centered, but it feels like I’m chosen, in a way, to do this stuff.” Read more at the link in bio. Photograph by @kelianne for TIME; animation by @brobeldesign; “Old Town Road” (p) 2019 Columbia Records, a division of Sony Music Entertainment A post shared by TIME (@time) on Aug 15, 2019 at 5:08am PDT   Lil Nas graced the cover of the latest issue of TIME Magazine and got candid about his meteoric rise to success, and why he was initially hesitant to come out as gay. “I never would have done that if I wasn’t in a way pushed by the universe. In June, I’m seeing Pride flags everywhere and seeing couples holding hands — little stuff like that.” View this post on Instagram When @lilnasx recorded “Old Town Road” last fall, he was hoping it could be his way out of an unhappy life. Born Montero Lamar Hill outside #Atlanta in 1999, Lil Nas grew up poor, living with one parent or another—his mother and father split when he was 6. As he spent most of his teenage years alone, he began to live on the Internet and particularly Twitter, creating #memes that showed his disarming wit and pop-culture savvy. “It was like, I’m able to go viral, but I’m not promoting anything that’s gonna help me,” he says. “Until music came along.” A gifted vocalist since he was a child—his father is a gospel singer—Lil Nas began writing and recording songs in his closet. When, around last Halloween, he stumbled across a banjo-driven beat by the teenage Dutch producer @youngkio, he saw an opportunity to combine trap—a Southern-born #hiphop subgenre propelled by vicious bass and crawling tempos—with #country, which was experiencing a surge of popularity on the Internet. “Because it’s two polar opposites coming together, it’s funny no matter what it is,” he says. For the history of #music, artists like Lil Nas were the exception, writes Andrew R. Chow. Now, by definition, Lil Nas is the rule. Read more at the link in bio. Video by @khomariflashfilms and @alexandra_robson for TIME A post shared by TIME (@time) on Aug 15, 2019 at 8:48am PDT The young artist added that he was taught from a young age that homosexuality “is never going to be OK,” plus, he feared he might lose fans if he shared his truth. But quite the contrary, Lil Nas. His popularity has skyrocketed over the last few month, which is proof that authenticity ultimately wins. Apparently there’s a lot more we didn’t know about the country rap crooner. Check out Lil Nas X’s full interview here .

Joe Budden Implies Cyn Santana Won’t Let Him See Their Child: “I Miss My Son So Much”

See the rest here:

Source: WENN.com / WENN The split between Joe Budden and Cyn Santana has apparently been anything but amicable. The scorned pair continues to post cryptic and not-so-cryptic messages aimed at one another that suggest there is absolutely no chance of reconciliation. The latest message that fans have been trying to decode seems to point to custodial issues for the reality television stars. “I miss my son so much…. gotta go thru it tho… again,” Budden tweeted Tuesday. Email Submit Ironically, if you hop over to Santana’s profile, a little scrolling will reveal that there’s potentially more to the story. At the start of the summer, the first-time mom turned heads after she quoted Jay Z in a tweet, writing: “A man that don’t take care of his family can’t be rich.” A man that don’t take care of his family can’t be rich — Cyn Santana (@Cyn_Santana) June 9, 2019 Many interpreted this to mean that Budden has been falling short as it pertains to financial support for their son. Sadly, it seems that the co-parents are talking to everyone about their issues but one another. Although most folks who look like us would prefer to not have the courts involved in their family affairs, in instances like this where financial support or rights to visitation are being denied, family court may be the best approach. SEE ALSO:  Nicki Minaj Brought Joe Budden On ‘Queen Radio,’ Cursed Him Out & Cut His Mic Off & Now It’s Trending Budden and Santana have been at odds since they split last spring. According to reports, the podcast host allegedly cheated on his former fiancèe with a model. When news of the split first made headlines, the rapper appeared to make light of the breakup during a live taping of his web show. “We didn’t break up. There’s been no breakup. Now, words are important. So what does that mean? What that means is neither one of us said it’s over.,” the 38-year-old said before going on to say that they “haven’t spoken in a little while,” and that he “didn’t take it no way when she moved all her s–t out of the house.” It’s certainly unfortunate when co-parents are feuding because the strife only ends up hurting the child in the end.
