Mark McDaniel is at the center of a firestorm of controversy these days as a result of his relationship with former Here Comes Honey Boo Boo matriarch June Shannon. McDaniel molested June’s daughter, Anna Shannon , and served ten years in prison for the crime. So it’s a bit surprising that June has been publicly defending McDaniel, and may have even bought him a car with money she stole from Anna . But, as has also been well established over the past few years, Demi Lovato is all about using her past experiences to serve as a role model to her young fans. And these two ideologies clashed a bit in recent days. It started when Trainor talked to Entertainment Tonight about her struggle to lose weight, telling the program that she grew up as a “chubby girl” and cried when a boy told her she’d be “real hot” if she were “10 pounds lighter.” Trainor says she stopped eating for the rest of the day, but “wasn’t strong enough to have an eating disorder,” later joking that she tried to “go anorexic” for a few hours, but it didn’t take. Tributes are pouring in from fans, friends and former colleagues of reality star Diem Brown, who died at age 32 on Friday after valiantly battling cancer. Brown, who starred on several seasons of MTV’s Road Rules and The Real World spinoff The Challenge , is perhaps best known, tragically, for fighting cancer. By the time Diem Brown died , she had been diagnosed with cancer three times, most recently this summer, when it quickly spread and took her life. She had bested ovarian cancer twice before, beginning at age 23. Throughout her recent battle, family and friends were by her side and many posted inspiring, heartwarming messages of support on social media. Brown herself posted a heartbreaking tweet a couple of days ago. ” I NEED PRAyErs and advice my doctors are seemingly giving up but I won’t & can’t rollover. Whatever option I have to LIVE I’m grabbing!” she said. So, so sad.
