When Animals Attack: 65-Year-Old Woman Loses One Arm And Part Of The Other After Family Pit Bull Attacks

This is brutal. Woman Loses Arms After Pit Bull Attack This pit bull was part of her family and it turned on her. SMH. According to The Hartford Courant: A 65-year-old woman lost all of one arm and part of the other after she was savagely attacked by her family’s pitbull on Monday, police said. The woman, identified as Anne Murray of 77 Range Road, is in stable condition at Norwalk Hospital, police said. The dog was wandering in the road when it attracted the attention of a woman who was driving through the residential neighborhood around 11:30 a.m., said Wilton Police Lt. Donald Wakeman. Initially worried about the dog’s safety, the woman got out of the car and tried to corral it, Wakeman said. But the dog acted aggressively toward her, and she returned to her car. Another motorist then came by, and together the two were able to get the dog into Murray’s driveway. Then they heard Murray, who was hiding under a vehicle in the driveway, injured and calling for help. Police Capt. John Lynch was the first officer to arrive, a release states. He shot and killed the dog. Murray had bite injuries up and down her body, Wakeman said, from her legs to the side of her head. She lost one arm completely and the other below the elbow, he said. Wilton’s animal control department dealt with the dog twice this summer, Wakeman said — in July and August, both times for complaints of the dog roaming off the property. It had resided in the home for nearly two years, Wakeman said. Connie McCallister, a Wausau, Wisconsin woman who was 16 when she disappeared more than nine years ago, has been found living in Mexico. Sources say she could return home as early as Thanksgiving. Wisconsin Woman Abducted at 16 Found In Mexico McCallister, now 25, disappeared with her then 22-year-old boyfriend on August 15, 2004, when she was an honor-roll student at Athens High School. Her aunt, Florence Volzka, said the boyfriend drugged her to get her to Mexico, and that at one point, she was badly beaten and treated at a hospital. Someone helped her get a new identity, she added. McCallister got involved with a man who abused her, Volzka said, then found a good man whom she ended up marrying. She now has three young daughters. She escaped her initial captor /abuser, sources believe, but said since McCallister didn’t know Spanish, it was hard for her to contact family in Wisconsin. A church missionary recently met McCallister, learned of her plight and contacted the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children this summer. Wausau Police Capt. Greg Hagenbucher confirmed it is McCallister, who “did ask for help in getting home, but she won’t come back without her children.” He did not immediately offer an update on the then-boyfriend, who is also wanted on charges of first-degree sexual assault involving an unrelated victim. A group of volunteers at Trinity Lutheran Church and School in Athens, Wisc., is currently raising money to bring McCallister and her kids home. “We want to use this as an example for families with missing relatives to never give up hope,” Judy Weise, a family friend and church administrator said. “There’s always a chance their loved one could come home. Don’t ever give up hope.” Officials with the U.S. Consulate are working with McCallister to gather the required documents and ID records necessary for McCallister to return. McCallister is petitioning the court so her husband can join her in the U.S. Her aunt, Volzka said they will live with her and then move to another nearby when she back on her feet. She hopes to have her home by Thanksgiving. “She’s excited and she’s cautious and she knows it’s going to be whole new world again and she’s afraid,” Volzka said. “There are a lot of adjustments.” McCallister’s mother, Cindy McCallister, now lives in Florida. “I never gave up any hope of her,” Volzka, 56, of Medford, said by phone. “I always thought she would find a way home. She is very close knit with the family.” Volzka added that she first spoke with her in September through Skype and she looks the same, but with longer hair. “I cried for an hour,” she said.

Khloe Hints At Lamar’s Drug Problem On TV Lamar is taking sobriety tests to stay with Khloe when he needs to be hiring a lawyer…those sneaky Kardashians will take him to the cleaners. According to the Huffington Post: Things could be coming to a head in Khloe Kardashian’s marriage to Lamar Odom, and it’s bleeding into “Keeping Up With the Kardashians.” This week, their marital issues were all over the place, and yet they still weren’t being addressed directly, which The Stir’s Rebecca Stokes found “awkward.” It was widely reported over the summer that the NBA star was struggling with substance abuse, but that was neither confirmed nor denied on the show. What we did get was a lot of what the situation has been like for Khloe. “Lamar has been having a really tough time lately, and it’s not just black and white. There’s a lot of emotional issues,” Khloe said. “It’s really scary when nothing’s really working and then you know, if you give up, no one in his life would be able to help.” At one point, Khloe was seen defending drug addiction to Bruce Jenner, calling it a disease. As for Lamar, he was acting paranoid, calling Bruce’s phone to check that Khloe was where she said she was, among other strange actions. Reality Wanted’s Jessica Blackwell stated the obvious: something isn’t right with Lamar. “I’ve been down this road way more times that I would probably like to admit,” Khloe said. She admitted that she couldn’t control Lamar. If he wanted to leave, he could leave. Hollywood Life’s Chloe Melas added that Khloe “was finally spotted without her wedding ring on Nov. 2. It was bizarre because despite all of the scrutiny surrounding her marriage, she’s always worn her ring.” Could this be the beginning of the end for the couple? Once the ring comes off….it’s a wrap. Congratulations! Kerry Washington Is Toting A Gut Full Of Baller Hubby Nnamdi Asomugha

Congrats are officially in order! After much speculation it has been confirmed that Kerry Washington is definitely pregnant. According to US Weekly reports : Kerry Washington, like her Scandal alter ego Olivia Pope, sure knows how to keep a secret. The 36-year-old actress, who married NFL player Nnamdi Asomugha in a super covert ceremony in June, has yet another surprise on the way — a baby! As the new issue of Us Weekly exclusively reveals, the Scandal star is pregnant with her first child. “She’s about four months along,” a pal tells Us of Washington. (Thus far, the mom-to-be has kept any hint of a baby bump concealed under roomy dresses.) This will be the first child for the Emmy-nominated beauty, who married San Francisco 49ers cornerback Asomugha on June 24 in Hailey, Idaho. According to reports, the couple first started dating in the summer of 2012; Washington was previously engaged to actor David Moscow. Asked about her top-secret wedding in an interview with Glamour magazine in September, the Django Unchained actress said she had “learned through experience” that talking about her personal life just “doesn’t work” for her. “I’ve had earlier times in my career when I did talk about it,” she explained. “But I couldn’t just turn around and say, ‘I only want to talk about the good stuff, but not the bad stuff.’ So I just thought, ‘Okay, no more.’” That said, Washington isn’t trying to dupe anyone. “I’m walking around in the world with my ring. Teacher Fired After Serving Alcohol And Condoms To Students Maybe she just wanted to relive her youth… you know pop molly and get slizzard like the cool kids. According to The NY Daily News The party’s over for a popular suburban Miami dance teacher. Isabel Diaz-Almaraz was officially axed Wednesday from her job at South Miami Senior High School after a student posted incriminating photos online suggesting he received a “party platter” full of booze and condoms from her. She was initially suspended without pay in September 2012 following an investigation. A 46-page document claims Diaz-Almaraz used $1,000 from her PayPal account to rent a penthouse suite for students last year during a prom after-party. A student posted a picture on Instagram of the four-bedroom penthouse overlooking the ocean, as well as a second picture of a party tray. The goodies included Durex condoms, bottles of Malibu Rum and Grey Goose, Jell-O and candies. The student captioned the photo, “Thank you Mrs.D!!!” Officials said the teacher was also at the infamous after-party, although she testified during the investigation that she didn’t ply the students with alcohol. Some students denied she was the one who brought the booze. Diaz-Almaraz’s husband had also been at the penthouse the next day cooking steaks for the students, reported NBC affiliate WTVJ. “I don’t think we should ever exalt or celebrate the termination of an employee,” Miami-Dade Public Schools Superintendent Alberto Carvalho said at Wednesday’s board meeting announcing her termination. “At the same time, their standard of conduct — particularly behavior that could endanger children that jeopardizes safety of children — must be upheld.” Students said Diaz-Almaraz appeared overly chummy, describing her as “fun” and “young.” One mom who supported the teacher called the investigation of her a “witch hunt.” “I do not believe at any time Mrs. D endangered my daughter,” parent Marci Sigel wrote to the school board. An administrative law judge had recommended over the summer that the teacher be reinstated, although Carvalho disagreed and pushed for her termination. Diaz-Almaraz’s lawyer claimed she only rented the hotel suite for the students because doing so required a PayPal account, which none of the students had, the Miami Herald reported. “This is not a career-ending mistake,” argued attorney Mark Herdman, adding that she has taken responsibility for her actions. There to accept the Ally for Equality Award, she happily strutted across the red carpet, posing for photos with several guests. But her much-younger boyfriend, Casper Smart, was not among them. Although he did attend the awards, Smart was not photographed on the red carpet with Lopez. And RadarOnline.com has learned that a picture — or lack thereof, in this case — is worth a thousand words. In fact, they haven’t been photographed together in public in more than three weeks! Now, multiple sources tell RadarOnline.com exclusively that the couple is headed for a breakup, and even had a mini-split this summer. “Jennifer is pretty private about the relationship, but she’s been hinting that the spark is gone,” a source close to Lopez says. “She’s having a hard time ignoring the fact that her head has been telling her for a while that this thing with Casper isn’t forever. According to the source, Lopez has tried to end their relationship several times, most recently in June. During a shoot for Viva Movil in NYC on June 14, “Everyone on set was whispering about the news that J.Lo and Casper broke up,” a set insider tells RadarOnline.com. “She seemed down and looked tired, like she hadn’t slept well. She holed up in her trailer for hours when she wasn’t needed for her scenes, and asked for vanilla Haagen Dazs ice cream and white flowers. It was obvious she was a million miles away.” Then… One big reason Lopez can’t let go, the source says, is his close relationship with her twins, Max and Emme. “It’s hard for her to think of how to it explain it to the twins,” the source says. “They love Casper. Josh Marks Dies of Suspected Suicide; MasterChef Finalist Was 26

Just a few months after a violent run-in with University of Chicago police, Josh Marks has been found dead. Officials believe he committed suicide. The MasterChef finalist was just 26 years old. Police say they received a call from a woman screaming for help Friday evening. They found a 26-year old male with a gunshot wound to the head. Multiple sources involved with the investigation state that the victim in the Chicago alley is Josh Marks. Officers have also recovered a nearby weapon. It’s a sad and tragic end for this bright talent. Marks was arrested for assault by University of Chicago cops this summer after an incident in which he allegedly punched an officer and tried to grab his gun. Three officers tried to subdue Marks, who was 7’2″, with batons and pepper spray, but he broke free and took off. Five cops brought him down eventually. Once in custody, Marks blamed Gordon Ramsay for his outburst, claiming the celebrity chef possessed him and turned him into a god … seriously. There was no evidence of drug use on his part. In February of this year, Marks released a video for the “Make a Sound Project,” an organization dedicated to helping people struggling with suicidal thoughts. Marks himself suffered from bipolar disorder. R.I.P.
