Dina Lohan pleaded not guilty to drunken driving and speeding charges in court today following her recent arrest. Her license has been suspended. Dina was mobbed by a media throng usually associated with her troubled actress daughter, Lindsay Lohan , as she left a Long Island courthouse. She was released without bail until her next court date October 23. Judge Joy Watson released her without bail but ordered her driver’s license suspended, citing the severity of the alleged drunken driving charge. State police arrested Dina Lohan for DUI on September 12 after stopping her for allegedly driving 77 mph in a 55 mph zone on a Long Island parkway. Police said her blood-alcohol level was more than double the legal limit. Defense attorney Mark Heller said his client has no criminal record and is a lifelong Long Island resident who has raised four children as a single mother. He did not specifically address the allegations against her. “Dina Lohan is painfully mindful of the gravity of her arrest,” he said. “I am confident that the [D.A.] and the judicial system will temper justice with mercy. ” The arrest about nine miles from her Merrick, N.Y., home came just months after her daughter completed her sixth stint in rehab for drug and alcohol abuse. In an interview with Oprah Winfrey this summer, the younger Lohan admitted an addiction to alcohol which she described as a gateway to other drugs. The actress’ father, Michael Lohan , has also battled addiction.

The winner of Big Brother 15 has been crowned at last. Did Andy Herren, GinaMarie Zimmerman or Spencer Clawson walk away with the top prize? Let’s find out how this controversial season ended … Big Brother 15 Winner We joined the final Head of Household battle in Round 1, where Spencer Clawson was out pretty quickly and Andy Herren went out shortly thereafter. GinaMarie Zimmerman had the upper hand heading into Round 2, but Andy eventually won the final Head of Household and faces a tough debate. He felt GinaMarie deserved to be in the finals (and vice versa), but bringing Spencer to the finals would guarantee victory. Because it’s Spencer Clawson . Andy chose to evict Spencer, in a bit of a surprise move. Now it’s up to the jury. Helen, Candice, Jessie, Amanda, Elissa, McCrae and of course, Aaryn Gries , would all get a vote in deciding this half million. The jury grills GinaMarie Zimmerman and Andy Herren and they gave the final speeches. Andy looked more confident, relaxed and ready to win. Spencer voted for Andy, McCrae voted for Andy, Judd voted for GinaMarie, Elissa voted Andy, Amanda voted Andy and Aaryn’s vote went to GinaMarie. Helen’s vote is for Andy and he has the majority. It’s over! Not only did he play a good game, but he’s a nice guy. At least it felt like it? Maybe the other two just lowered the bar so much that our standards are forever skewed by some of the things we saw. But it seemed like he was one of the few who made it through the summer without uttering ugly slurs about people, and he made his way to the top. In any case, he emerged victorious by a 7-2 vote. Congratulations, in any case, go out to Andy Herren! Good fight, Spencer and GinaMarie. Along with Aaryn, you both may have a hard time finding employment after you get back home, FYI. Queens of the Stone Age frontman Josh Homme is tearing into Jay Z regarding the rock group’s treatment at his Made in America festival this summer. Homme told CBC Radio 2’s Strombo Show that Jay is a “kook” who uses extreme security practices and only gave them champagne for a photo op. “He has his security frisking the bands on the way in,” Homme said. “I just told them, ‘If you open up my bag, I’m not playing, so I guess it’s up to you whether we are playing or not.’ The idea they frisked all my guys, means you’re in some different place.” “No-one has ever done that [to me].” It got worse from there, he says. “He also gave us some champagne and wanted us to take a photo with it,” the 40-year-old singer said. “And I thought that’s not a gift that is a marketing tool.” “So I destroyed it. Because I thought it was rude overall.” “And you shouldn’t frisk my guys, you should fuck off.” Jay Z had yet to address Homme’s comments, but the rocker’s remarks stand out because much of the entertainment community is wary of criticizing him . If the allegations are true, though, it would seem that Beyonce’s better half, who has reached full-on mogul status of late, has gotten too corporate.

Paula Deen returned to the public spotlight for the first time since this summer’s n-word scandal, and cried tears of joy after receiving a huge ovation. The celebrity chef, 66, broke down in tears amid 10 minutes of thunderous applause at the Metro Cooking & Entertaining show in Houston Saturday. “These are tears of joy, y’all,” she said. “This is my first time out in three months. The one place I wanted to make my first step out was in Texas.” “You are forgiving folks with hearts as big as your state. We all experience pain in some way but pain is also a good thing because it makes you grow.” After her emotional outburst , Paula Deen quickly got back in touch with her sassy, culinary side joining sons Bobby and Jamie for a cooking demo. It looks like she’s clearly back in the swing of things. Deen walked up to a cameraman at the end of her exhibition, put her face right up close to his camera and said with a giant smile, “I’m back!” After the summer she had, that must feel good. The controversy began when she and brother Bubba Hiers were sued for racial discrimination and sexual harassment by former restaurant manager Lisa Jackson. When a transcript of a legal deposition, in which Deen admitted she had used the N-word in the past, was leaked in June, it swiftly ignited a firestorm. Paula denied all of Jackson’s claims and only admitted using racial slurs in past, unrelated circumstances, but her empire began to unravel fast. The Food Network fired Paula and she lost many lucrative endorsement deals shortly thereafter, including Smithfield Hams, Target and Walmart. Ballantine Books also canceled a five-book deal and stopped publication of her cookbook, despite the fact that the book had already hit No. 1 on Amazon. Last month, the lawsuit was dismissed , but the damage was done. A judge threw out the racial discrimination portion of the suit and soon after, Deen and Jackson reached a settlement to dismiss the remaining claims. Now that she’s back, do you forgive her?
