‘Jersey Shore’ Stars Invade Enrique Iglesias’ ‘I Like It’ Video

‘When everybody sees this music video, they’re pretty much gonna realize that we’re a bunch of nut jobs,’ Snooki tells MTV News. By MTV News staff By now, we’ve seen that the “Jersey Shore” kids know their way around the gym, the laundromat and the tanning salon. But since they’ve become reality-show superstars in their own right, they’ve been picking up a few new skills. Case in point: their starring roles in Enrique Iglesias’ music video for “I Like It,” the club-ready single from the Jersey Shore Soundtrack. Snooki, the Situation and their pals are featured in the video — crashing a concert, obviously — and MTV News was there to catch all the behind-the-scenes details. “When everybody sees this music video, they’re pretty much gonna realize that we’re a bunch of nut jobs, just trying to crash Enrique’s concert,” Snooki told us. No offense, Snooki, but didn’t we already know that? Catch any “Shore” episode and you’ll see all manner of brawls, shameless hookups and wicked pranks. All that behavior is on full display in the video. And we’re about to get a fresh dose of Snooki and the Situation’s wild world when the second season of the show debuts July 29. Before then, MTV will debut 10 minutes of the first new episode during the MTV Movie Awards pre-show this Sunday. Next month, on July 20, Jersey Shore Soundtrack hits shelves. A collection of songs inspired by the tanned-and-terrific hit series, the album features tracks from Lil Jon, LMFAO, Taio Cruz and Akon, as well as Iglesias single featuring Pitbull. Iglesias had a blast shooting the video with Snooki and her friends, and he can’t wait until fans get a chance to check out the video. They will, of course, when it premieres on Sunday night at the Movie Awards. “This song is good — actually, not good, it’s f—ing good,” Iglesias said. “Let’s go out there and have some fun. It’s the kids from the ‘Jersey Shore.’ What else would you ask for?” Don’t miss the live red-carpet coverage, exclusive movie clips and fist-pumping action on MTV News’ “Jersey Shore Blow-Out at the MTV Movie Awards,” airing live from Los Angeles this Sunday, June 6, at 8 p.m. ET/PT. Will Zach Galifianakis Be MTV Movie Awards’ Best Breakout Star?

‘Hangover’ funnyman will have to get past Gabourey Sidibe, Anna Kendrick, Chris Pine, Logan Lerman and Quinton Aaron to claim the prize. By Jocelyn Vena Ed Helms, Zach Galifianakis and Bradley Cooper in “The Hangover” Photo: Warner Bros. What happens when you pit two Oscar nominees, a starship captain, a teen demigod, a high school football hero and a pants-shedding funnyman against one another? Well, you get the race for Best Breakout Star at the 2010 MTV Movie Awards , airing live this Sunday at 9 p.m. ET/PT on MTV. And while the case can be made for any of these fine nominees, it’s really up to fans to crown their favorite to take the Golden Popcorn in this category. “Twilight” fans already knew Anna Kendrick as Bella Swan’s chatty pal Jessica, but the actress showed she could hold her own as an overachieving young professional opposite George Clooney in “Up in the Air.” Kendrick’s Natalie sets out to prove she has what it takes to make it in the corporate world. Now, Kendrick will try to do the same at the awards show. Chris Pine had big shoes to fill when he stepped in to play Captain Kirk in last year’s “Star Trek” prequel/reboot. But Pine’s modern take on William Shatner’s iconic role won him raves from Trekkies, who’ll no doubt be pushing for him. But it wasn’t only Pine who expanded his fanbase in the sci-fi universe. Logan Lerman’s starring role in “Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief” garnered him buzz as a possible contender to play Spider-Man in the next installment of the franchise. Pine showed he was boss on the starship, but Lerman, who kicks butt as a teenage demigod, is no lightweight. After her turn in the gritty “Precious,” Gabourey Sidibe went from relative nobody to Academy Award nominee. The dark, sometimes disturbing flick highlighted Sidibe’s range and made her a newcomer to watch. Another first-time actor, Quinton Aaron, won Sandra Bullock’s heart (and American moviegoers’) in “The Blind Side,” the surprise box-office smash about a homeless young man who turns his life around, thanks to a generous Texas family. But while Aaron’s character Michael scores on the gridiron, stiff competition will make winning much harder at the Movie Awards. Zach Galifianakis took on a tiger, a baby, a gangster and even Mike Tyson in “The Hangover.” What’s a couple of actors to this funnyman? Galifianakis is hilarious as the often pants-less Alan Garner, who kicks off a bachelor party by spiking his pals’ drinks. He may be the breakout star to beat. Who are you pulling for to win Best Breakout Star? Tell us in the comments! ‘New Moon’ Vs. ‘Avatar’: Nikki Reed, Ke$ha, Akon Debate MTV Movie Awards Battle

‘Is it a teenage thing or is it revolutionizing-filmmaking thing?’ Tyrese Gibson asks of the face-off. By Eric Ditzian Photo: 20th Century Fox One year ago, the MTV Movie Awards featured a face-off between vampires and orphans , as “Twilight” was up for seven awards and “Slumdog Millionaire” was tapped in six categories. The battle turned into a blowout, as Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart’s flick nabbed five wins, and “Slumdog” was completely shut out. 2010 at the Movie Awards brings us another epic throw-down – this time between the vampires of “New Moon” and the big blue aliens of “Avatar.” Both films are nominated in five categories, including Best Movie, Best Kiss and Best Female Performance. Which one of these blockbuster titans will triumph this Sunday at the awards show? That’s up to you, because fan voting is currently under way at MovieAwards.MTV.com . But fans aren’t the only ones who have a say in the competition. That’s why we asked some of our favorite celebs who they would vote for when it comes to this heated debate: Team “Twilight” or Team “Avatar”? “That’s not a fair question,” said “Twilight” franchise star Nikki Reed. “I think I have to stick with my movie on this one, although ‘Avatar,’ there are no words.” The likes of Kim Kardashian, Marisa Miller and Stephanie Pratt sided with Reed’s choice of “New Moon.” But for every Twilighter we spoke with, there was an “Avatar” fan ready to vote the other way, like Eli Roth and Adam Lambert. Or take Akon, who said simply, “I love ‘Avatar.’ That movie is amazing.” And then there are the folks who haven’t yet hit the cinema or popped in the DVD so they can make an informed choice in the “New Moon” vs. “Avatar” debate. “I can’t vote, only because I’m narcoleptic and I never made it through either one,” confessed Ke$ha. Count Kristin Cavallari among the non-voters as well. “I haven’t seen any of the ‘Twilight’ movies or ‘Avatar,’ ” she said. “I’m so out of the loop with everything!” So which flick is going to conquer on Sunday night? Stay tuned. For now, we’ll give Tyrese Gibson the final word. “Is it a teenage thing or is it revolutionizing-filmmaking thing?” he said. “And if it’s revolutionizing, then James Cameron’s definitely going to take it.” Don’t miss the live red-carpet coverage, exclusive movie clips and fist-pumping action on MTV News’ “Jersey Shore Blow-Out at the MTV Movie Awards,” airing live from Los Angeles this Sunday, June 6, at 8 p.m. ET/PT. Nikki Reed Talks ‘Breaking Dawn’ Negotiations, MTV Movie Awards

‘I still won’t be nominated for Best Kiss, because I never kiss anyone!’ she laughs about her ‘Twilight’ character. By Ryan J. Downey Photo: MTV News When it comes to believing rumors about the “Twilight” cast, Nikki Reed has some simple advice straight out of the ’80s hip-hop playbook: Don’t believe the hype. “I think it’s kind of an obvious thing that we would all come back to do [‘Breaking Dawn’],” the 22-year-old actress told MTV News on Tuesday, addressing a rumor to the contrary that said salary disputes threatened to sideline one or more of her castmates. “The media gets involved. I mean, I didn’t really read anything that was printed,” she said, adding with a laugh: “At least the things that were printed about me.” While Reed isn’t reading the blogs, trades or tabloids, sometimes her parents are. “I get the occasional phone call from my mom or my dad going, like, ‘Hey, is this true? I heard that.’ And I’m like, ‘No! No, I’m not having a baby. No, I’m not! And yes I’m doing “Breaking Dawn”!’ [ Laughs. ] It’s always random.” A collective sigh of relief came from Twilighters worldwide when it was confirmed that Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner and the rest of the cast would, in fact, reunite for director Bill Condon’s take on the fourth and final “Twilight Saga” book, “Breaking Dawn.” “Of course we’re all going to do the fourth movie. We did the first, second and third, and it makes sense, because we love the books and we want to make these movies,” she said. Perhaps wary of contributing to complicated reports herself, Reed quickly added: “I mean, I’m speaking for myself, I guess.” Reed first caught the attention of moviegoers in “Thirteen,” the 2003 teen drama she co-wrote when she was just that age herself. Reed’s “Thirteen” co-writer and director, Catherine Hardwicke, went on to cast her in the first “Twilight” movie, which launched the franchise just two years ago. Last year’s “New Moon” is nominated in multiple categories at the 2010 MTV Movie Awards , including Best Movie, but Reed insisted, “We should all win,” noting, “I’m very diplomatic.” While it seems assured that all the “Twilight” movies will end up nominated at future Movie Awards, there’s one category currently featuring two of her co-stars she’s confident she’ll never appear in. “I still won’t be nominated for Best Kiss , because I never kiss anyone!” she laughed. Zach Galifianakis Breaks Down MTV Movie Awards’ Breakout-Star Rivals

‘Hangover’ funnyman selflessly chooses ‘Precious’ star Gabourey Sidibe to take it home: ‘This woman should win it.’ By Eric Ditzian, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Zach Galifianakis Photo: MTV News UNIVERSAL CITY, California — Zach Galifianakis was everywhere in 2009. There was his breakout turn as a loveable bearded doofus in “The Hangover,” his co-starring role as a loveable bearded doofus in HBO’s “Bored to Death” and all manner of Web vids and big-screen cameos as a … well, you get the idea. In that inimitable deadpan manner of his, Galifianakis professes to be utterly sick of himself. He’s in the minority. Fans have voted him into the category of Best Breakout Star at the 2010 MTV Movie Awards. And while the voting is still going on over at MovieAwards.MTV.com , Galifianakis assessed his competitors and came away convinced another star would walk away with the win this Sunday. He called “Up in the Air” actress Anna Kendrick “good,” while Chris Pine of “Star Trek” was dubbed a “handsome man.” Of Oscar-nominated Gabourey Sidibe (“Precious: Based on the Novel ‘Push’ by Sapphire”), Galifianakis said with a devilish grin, “I haven’t seen that movie, but she and I have the same trainer.” Nor had Zach checked out the “The Blind Side,” though he wished Quinton Aaron “good luck” in the Breakout Star category. Which brought Galifianakis back to Sidibe. “This woman should win it,” he declared. Not that he’ll be there to take in the festivities at the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, California. “When is it?” he asked us at one point. Sunday, June 6, Zach. “Oooh boy,” he responded. What, you have somewhere better to be? “You know what? I can’t,” he confessed. “I have a palm reading that day.” Don’t miss the live red-carpet coverage, exclusive movie clips and fist-pumping action on MTV News’ “Jersey Shore Blow-Out at the MTV Movie Awards,” airing live from Los Angeles this Sunday, June 6, at 8 p.m. ET/PT. MTV Movie Awards Host Aziz Ansari Gets Advice From Russell Brand, Sarah Jessica Parker, Snooki

Judd Apatow, past Movie Awards host Andy Samberg also give tips — show airs Sunday at 9 p.m. ET on MTV! By Eric Ditzian Aziz Ansari Photo: Robyn Beck/ AFP/ Getty Images UNIVERSAL CITY, California — It might be the biggest night of his life. On Sunday, June 6, at exactly 9 p.m. ET, 27-year-old Aziz Ansari will walk out onto the stage at the Gibson Amphitheatre to host the 2010 MTV Movie Awards . The seats will be filled with Hollywood’s elite, celebs will be frittering to and fro backstage as they await their various show duties, and millions of fans will be watching at home. In short, the pressure will be on … But it’s a job Aziz is ready for. From his co-starring spot on NBC’s “Parks and Recreation” to his improv work on MTV’s “Human Giant” to his creation of bombastic comedian Raaaaaaaandy, one thing Ansari can be trusted to do is make people laugh, and then laugh some more. Still, the guy has got to be sweating a bit as the big day approaches. But luckily he’s got the support of Hollywood behind him, and the likes of Russell Brand, Sarah Jessica Parker and “Jersey Shore” star Snooki weighed in with advice for Ansari. “Hosting — it’s so hard!” said two-time VMA host Brand , not so much offering advice as a stern warning. “You’re there for ages. It’s all the panic, the dress rehearsals, people don’t turn up. It’s difficult.” Parker, conversely, had one helpful tip for Aziz’s body and mind. “I would say have plenty of fluids backstage, perhaps intravenously!” she said. “Jersey Shore” star Snooki — who will be MTV News’ guest correspondent on the Movie Awards red carpet Sunday — had one specific suggestion for the type of fluid Ansari would be wise to imbibe come Sunday night. “Just have a couple shots before you get on,” she said. “You’re probably going to be very nervous in front of all these celebrities, millions of people on TV. Pretty much, just down a bottle of tequila and you’re good. It washes off the nerves!” One man who’s quite familiar with those Movie Awards nerves is Andy Samberg, who hosted the show last year and was not worried about Ansari. “I don’t need to give Aziz any advice,” Samberg said. “He’s great. I think he’s gonna kill it. He’s a friend of mine and one of the funniest dudes I know. I’m really excited just to see it.” Another of the funniest dudes in Hollywood, Judd Apatow, couldn’t let Aziz assume hosting duties without giving him a good-natured ribbing. “He’s a cocky young man,” Apatow said of Ansari. “He’s not afraid. He should be afraid!” Don’t miss the live red-carpet coverage, exclusive movie clips and fist-pumping action on MTV News’ “Jersey Shore Blow-Out at the MTV Movie Awards,” airing live from Los Angeles this Sunday, June 6, at 8 p.m. ET/PT. Megan Fox, Betty White Face Off For MTV Movie Awards’ Best WTF Moment

Bill Murray, Ken Jeong and Isabel Lucas are also in the running. By Kara Warner The requirements for the MTV Movie Awards ‘ Best WTF Moment may be difficult to define, but they sure are fun to watch. Whether a flash of male genitalia, a pretty girl spewing black vomit or a cute old lady feeling up her soon-to-be in-law, this year’s nominees had moviegoers scratching their heads, turning away in disgust or laughing out loud — all fitting reactions to true WTF moments. And if last year’s winner, Amy Poehler in “Baby Mama” for “peeing in the sink,” is any indication for who will take home the Golden Popcorn this Sunday, MTV viewers judge WTF to mean unbelievable. Betty White in “The Proposal” Betty White is so hot right now, she’s going to be hard to beat … even if the scene for which she was nominated features White feeling up Sandra Bullock during a wedding-dress fitting. If it had been anyone but the former Golden Girl, it could have been pretty awkward! White stole nearly every scene in the Bullock/ Ryan Reynolds rom-com. Bill Murray in “Zombieland” Spoiler alert for those who still haven’t seen the film! The original Ghostbuster makes a surprise cameo so good, it was the highlight of the entire film. In the action/comedy, in which humans are trying to survive a Zombie takeover, Murray (who plays himself) gets the shock of his life when a group of survivors break into his house. Isabel Lucas in “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen” Kissing scenes in movies normally go for the “sexy” or “sweet.” Isabel Lucas’ makeout with Shia LaBeouf in the blockbuster “Transformers” sequel was anything but. Particularly when her tongue was revealed to be more lizard than human, and she went in for the kill. Literally. Ken Jeong in “The Hangover” “The Hangover” was undoubtedly last summer’s shiny cinematic gem of comedic brilliance. However, the moment when Ken Jeong’s flamboyant and feisty Mr. Chow pops out of a trunk and lands on Bradley Cooper’s face — stark naked — was way more WTF than laugh-out-loud. Megan Fox in “Jennifer’s Body” She may be one of the hottest women on the planet, but in “Jennifer’s Body,” moviegoers saw an unexpected side of Fox. Particularly during the scene in which Fox’s character is newly demonized and shown shoving food down her face. That was gross enough, until she started projectile-vomiting a stream of nasty black liquid. Which WTF Moment are you rooting for? Tell us in the comments! Taylor Lautner Is Les Grossman’s Latest Victim In MTV Movie Awards Promo

For more from the ‘Tropic Thunder’ mega mogul, tune in to MTV this Sunday, June 6, at 9 p.m. ET/PT. By Kara Warner Tinseltown’s resident “mega mogul” Les Grossman is back with another MTV Movie Awards promo. It seems the “Tropic Thunder” scene-stealer’s VIP clientele is endless. His last spot featured Robert Pattinson , one of the biggest stars in the Movie Awards universe, and in the latest video, Grossman has a chat with the other “Twilight” stud, Taylor Lautner. The video opens with Grossman’s customary method of conversation: laying into an unknown producer with a string of insults and profanity. “Mr. ‘Avatar,’ sugart–s,” he dismisses the minion over his bluetooth headset. “I don’t give a sh– about the laws of physics, because I want it in 4-D! Do it!” Grossman ends the call, then turns his attention to the teen heartthrob. “This is going to be a great show,” he tells Lautner. Looking unaffected by (or used to) Les’ rant, Taylor responds, “Les, we already talked about this, remember? My agents told you. That weekend is my best friend’s wedding and I’m the … ” “Best man,” Grossman interjects. “Understood. All cool. Bring in Taylor’s double,” he commands, upon which a stand-in is brought in — a man clearly years older than Lautner swirling a glass of whiskey, dressed in what looks to be a tuxedo he may or may not have slept in the night before. Lautner’s reaction is slightly annoyed. “Nobody’s going to believe this is me,” he says. “I’m sorry, which Taylor said that?” Grossman says, trying to play off the fact that Lautner’s “double” is a joke. He eventually relents and tells the double to “f— off.” “Do you smell that?” Grossman asks, returning his full attention and sinister grin to Lautner. “We just took this sh– to the next level. Pound it out, big guy.” Lautner reluctantly bumps Grossman’s meaty fists. For more of Lautner and Grossman, tune in to the MTV Movie Awards this Sunday, June 6, at 9 p.m. ET/PT on MTV!
