Quentin Tarantino Names His Worst Movie

Quentin Tarantino is one of America’s most celebrated living filmmakers and his latest film – currently due out Christmas day – is highly anticipated. But even a critically acclaimed filmmaker can have a dud, even if some fans might disagree. Tarantino himself weighed in on what he considers his least accomplished work. ” Death Proof has got to be the worst movie I ever [made],” Tarantino told THR. “And for a left-handed movie, that wasn’t so bad, all right? So if that’s the worst I ever get, I’m good. But I do think one of those out-of-touch, old, limp, flaccid-dick movies costs you three good movies as far as your rating is concerned.” Death Proof was part of Grindhouse , a double feature along with Robert Rodriguez’s Planet Terror . The duo didn’t exactly score at the box office either. It took in just over $25 million domestically on a budget that reportedly reached $67 million. Not all turned out dismal though, it did receive a 65 percent on Rotten Tomatoes among critics – not horrendous though certainly not gangbusters. Tarantino recently hinted to Playboy that his latest film Django Unchained may signal the sunset of his filmmaking career, saying that he wants to “stop at a certain point.” “Directors don’t get better as they get older. Usually the worst films in their filmography are those last four at the end. I am all about my filmography, and one bad film fucks up three good ones … When directors get out-of-date, it’s not pretty.” [ Sources: Huffington Post , THR , Box Office Mojo ]

Facebook Removes Elbows Mistaken For Breasts, Apologizes For Error

In randomly amusing social media news, Facebook recently took down a photo of a woman flashing her elbows in the tub, believing they were breasts at first glance. The image in question: How did this happen? In the wake of recent breastfeeding photo controversies , the blog Theories of the Deep Understanding of Things decided to test Facebook. Terms of Service state that users will not post content that is “hate speech, threatening, or pornographic; incites violence; contains nudity or graphic or gratuitous violence.” The amateurish-looking photo features a blond woman in a bathtub flashing a SEXY pink elbow … which sort of does look like a breast if you only look briefly. FB must have done just that, because moderators removed the pic less than 24 hours after it was posted WITH THE CAPTION “Once again, testing Facebook alertness.” A second elbow (or knee?) kind of looks like a breast as well, although her chest would be awfully lopsided if it were. Whatever. In any case, #facebookadminfail. The offending blog mused after its female muse’s elbow-boobs were yanked: “FB moderators can’t tell an elbow from a dangerous, filthy, uncanny and violent female breast. No questions were asked the and the post is down. Imagine our surprise!” According to the Daily Mail (UK), workers in Morocco and other countries are paid $1 an hour to moderate Facebook pages and any content that might violate its policies. When Facebook realized it censored an elbow, it promptly reinstated it and apologized: “This photo does not violate our content standards and we have already restored the photo. We made a mistake removing the picture and apologized to the page admin.” Well played, Theories of the Deep Understanding of Things. Well played.

Adam Levine Slams The Roxy on The Voice, Club Responds in Awesome Fashion

Adam Levine slammed the West Hollywood club The Roxy on The Voice Monday night, resulting in a great response from the Sunset Strip staple. After alarmingly good-looking and surprisingly polished Cassadee Pope rocked out to a Michelle Branch song, Adam recalled his past tour with the singer. “I remember we opened for her at the Roxy … they didn’t even give us a dressing room. I hate the Roxy. I’ll never play there again,” ranted Levine for no reason. Cassadee, whose own band Hey Monday has played at the club, tried to defend it, but Levine cut her off: “Oh, the Roxy is horrible. Don’t ever go there.” “They screwed us over,” the Maroon 5 frontman continued. “And now they’re paying for it.” After the show, The Roxy’s official Twitter account posted “Ummm, what was that about?” Then the club followed up with a hilarious response to Levine – and everyone else who happened to walk by the well-known L.A. venue – out front. “Adam Levine Your Dressing Room Is Ready,” reads the marquee. Nicely played. Not that Levine is one to back down, or hold back. In the past, the outspoken star has also put Fox News, the MTV VMAs  and American Idol on blast. Incidentally, Cassadee advanced on The Voice results show Tuesday. She’s good.

Tagg Romney Abortion Controversy: Clause Added to Surrogacy Agreement

Mitt Romney’s son Tagg signed a surrogacy agreement that gave the surrogate, Tagg and his wife the right to abort her recent pregnancy, according to TMZ. Tagg, the oldest of Mitt’s five sons, had twins this year through a surrogate, and Mitt Romney covered some of the expenses connected with the arrangement. The twin boys, David Mitt and William Ryder, were born on May 4, 2012. Tagg and his wife Jen, along with the surrogate and her husband, signed a Gestational Carrier Agreement dated July 28, 2011. Paragraph 13 of it reads: “If in the opinion of the [physician or obstetrician] there is potential physical harm to the surrogate, the decision to abort or not abort is to be made by the surrogate.” “In the event the child is determined to be physiologically, genetically or chromosomally abnormal, the decision is to be made by the intended parents.” “In such a case the surrogate agrees to abort, or not to abort, in accordance with the intended parents’ decision.” “Any decision to abort because of potential harm to the child, or to reduce the number of fetuses, is to be made by the intended parents.” In other words, Tagg and Jen Romney gave the surrogate the right to abort the fetuses even if her life wasn’t in danger. Only “potential physical harm” was needed. The Romneys had the right to abort the fetuses if they felt they would not be healthy. Mitt Romney was involved in the surrogate arrangement because he paid some of the expenses, but it is unclear if he read the contract or knew the terms. The Republican presidential candidate has said he is in favor of abortion being legal in the case of rape and incest and the health and life of the mother. Otherwise, Romney says he’s against abortion, a position he didn’t always hold. Interestingly, Tagg used the same surrogate in 2009, and there was no Paragraph 13 providing for abortion at that time because Tagg and his wife didn’t want it. In 2011, when the second contract was being drafted, it was in there.

Amanda Bynes Fights Photographer, Doesn’t Like the Way She Looked in That First Pic

Amanda Bynes’ bizarre behavior continued this week as the embattled former teen star got into a scuffle with a paparazzo … and it’s a lot weirder than you think. The tussle caught on tape by ET as Bynes was down Sunset Blvd. in Hollywood, shielding her face from being photographed. That part was pretty standard. Then she strangely came over, Amanda she didn’t like the way she looked, and tried to reason with the guy, flattering him into deleting the first photo of her.

Linklater, Hawke, And Delpy Went Ahead And Filmed Before Midnight: First Look At The Before Sunrise Threequel

Apparently Richard Linklater, Ethan Hawke, and Julie Delpy went ahead and filmed Before Midnight , their sequel to Before Sunrise and Before Sunset , without telling anyone about it. But there’s something about the loose intimacy of Céline and Jesse’s ambling, every now and again relationship that makes the idea of the trio making their next movie in secret so fitting. Hit the jump for the first image of Hawke and Delpy in the Greece-set Before Midnight , which will court buyers this week at Toronto . According to Deadline, filming wrapped yesterday. The trio, who share writing credits again after earning a Best Adapted Screenplay nomination for Before Sunset , issued the following statement: “It’s great to be back together again, this time in beautiful Greece to revisit the lives of Celine and Jesse nine years after Jesse was about to miss his flight.” [ Deadline ]

In White Folks News: Shia LaBeouf Tells His Boo-Thang That He Has To ACTUALLY Chop Down A Broad In New Flick!

This isn’t going to go over to well her… Shia Labeouf Will Have Real Sex In New Movie Shia LaBeouf’s girlfriend broke down in tears on a public street Friday, just days after the actor confirmed he’s willing to go all the way with real sex in his upcoming movie “The Nymphomaniac.” Karolyn Pho, 23, appeared visibly upset during the 15-minute exchange, but she shot down reports the row centered on his new randy role. “It’s none of anybody’s business. Everything is fine with us. It was nothing affiliated with his movie,” she told the Daily News. “We’re normal people who have normal lives,” she said. The incident ended with Pho wrapping an arm around her beau while he sat on the street curb smoking a cigarette. LaBeouf, 26, told MTV News in an interview posted Wednesday that his “Nymphomaniac” boss Lars von Trier intends to show actual sex onscreen, and that he’s willing to go wherever the Danish director leads him. “He’s very dangerous, you know. He’s like the most dangerous dude that I’ve ever showed up for. I’m terrified. I’m so terrified, which is why I have to go,” LaBeouf told MTV. “There’s a disclaimer at the top of the script that basically says, we’re all doing it for real. And everything that is illegal, we’ll shoot in blurred images, but other than that, everything is happening,” the “Transformers” star said. “It’s going to be a wild movie.” Ladies, would you let your actor boyfriend chop down another heaux for the sake of “art”??
