‘Jonah Hex’ Cheat Sheet: Everything You Need To Know

Pictures The 2010 summer-movie season has given us swords-and-sandals epics, superhero melees and a cavalcade of 3-D animated blockbusters. What we haven’t yet seen is a straight-up western, partly because that gun-toting, tobacco-chewing genre has largely fallen out of favor in Hollywood. All that changes Friday (June 18), as “Jonah Hex” rides into theaters in a storm of CGI dust and supernatural-inspired storytelling. Josh Brolin stars as Hex himself, a facially scarred bounty hunter with a taste for bullets, broads and revenge. His adversary is John Malkovich’s Quentin Turnbull, who thinks it would be a good idea to unleash the fires of hell on the entire planet. Hex doesn’t think that’s such a swell idea, plus Turnbull’s the dude who killed his family and hot-branded his face, so a quest for vengeance sounds like a pretty good idea. Before you take your own quest to the cinema this weekend, be sure to check out MTV News’ cheat sheet: everything you need to know about “Jonah Hex.” Wrangling the Horses In the early 1970s, writer John Albano and artist Tony DeZuniga created “Jonah” for DC Comics, and the surly antihero continues to appear within DC pages to this day. It wasn’t until summer 2007, though, that Warner Bros. began to ramp up plans to bring the character to the big screen. Brolin began circling the role of Jonah in late 2008 and stayed interested even as directors Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor (“Crank”) parted ways with the production over creative differences. Why did Brolin stay on? “When I first read it, I thought, ‘Oh my God, it’s awful!’ ” Brolin told MTV News . “And then I had a moment a week later, and I thought, ‘Why is it awful? Maybe the thing to do is to do the most awful movie I can find.’ ” Malkovich found the movie in early ’09, followed shortly by Megan Fox as a Wild West prostitute named Lilah. In April, we got our first look at the Louisiana-based production, thanks to some rather revealing on-set pics of Fox . Not to be outdone by his sultry co-star, Brolin made his presence as Jonah known in June, when the first photos surfaced of the actor in full, facial prosthetics. Enter the Hex As the year pushed forward, we began to hear from almost everyone with a key role in the production. Brolin spoke glowingly of new director Jimmy Hayward (“Horton Hears a Who!”), Malkovich told us why he signed on for the role, and Fox said of the production , “I think it’s a really good interpretation of the comic. It somehow manages to be super-violent while still having a PG-13 rating. I don’t know how they did that.” Neither do we, but the whole thing seemed to be shaping up quite nicely. Comic-Con brought us the film’s first poster and fresh promo pics followed in the fall. Then trouble set in. Re-shoots kicked off in January of this year, intended to fix unspecified problems with the footage and to be overseen by “I Am Legend” director Francis Lawrence, who was hired as a consultant. And as the June release date approached, fans started to wonder when the first trailer would arrive. It finally appeared at the very end of April — and it looked fairly rad — but questions remained. Days before the trailer dropped, Brolin himself told us the film was very much in flux. “We’re still in the process of solidifying that tone,” he said. “There’s a lot of humor to use in this cut. We’ve been going, ‘How much humor do we use? Do we stay with the emotional line of the story? How can we release some of the exposition so we can just rely on the action?’ All this kind of sh–. We’re in the midst of it, man!” We’re Going Straight to the Wild Wild West From Will Smith and Escape Club songs to the decades’ worth of face-off-at-high-noon flicks, the Wild West has proved fertile creative ground across the pop-culture spectrum. It remains to be seen, however, if “Jonah” can overcome its troubled production history and win big at the box office. The sneak peeks certainly look good: there’s Jonah facing off against Turnbull ; Jonah and Lilah trying to get out of a jam and then showing off their shooting skills ; Jonah getting a little sensitive about his disfigured face; and Jonah riding a horse with a Gatling gun strapped to its side . So will fans come out in support of this latest comic book adaptation? Is there a chance there will be more cinematic “Jonah” coming down the line? ‘Jonah Hex’: Dead Man Walking, By Kurt Loder

The venerable comic-book cowboy comes to life … sort of. Josh Brolin in “Jonah Hex” Photo: Warner Bros. “Jonah Hex” is about as anti- as a hero can get. It’s not just his chewed-up cowboy hat, his bullet-riddled duster and his perma-surly disposition. It’s the melted skin running down one side of his face and the ugly hole torn in the flesh next to his mouth (which makes whiskey-drinking a messy enterprise, but not — as we see just before he shoots up a barroom full of bad guys — an impossible one). In cooking down 38 years’ worth of DC comics for “Jonah Hex,” the new movie, director Jimmy Hayward and his writers have produced a lumpy soup of western action and supernatural shenanigans, heavily spiced with narrative confusion. The story leaps back and forth in time, and while the picture is sometimes funny, possibly intentionally, at some points it’s anybody’s guess what’s going on. In playing Jonah, Josh Brolin is stuck with a character whose facial constriction reduces him to little more than a walking bad attitude — he’s like Clint Eastwood’s old Man with No Name in the Sergio Leone westerns but without the warmth. The time is just after the Civil War (at least when it’s not during the Civil War). We learn that Jonah was framed for the betrayal of his Confederate battle unit, which resulted in the death of his friend, Jeb Turnbull (Jeffrey Dean Morgan). Jeb’s demented father, Quentin (John Malkovich in full cuckoo mode), retaliated by killing Jonah’s wife and son, and disfiguring his face with a red-hot branding iron. Now (or sometimes now) Jonah roams the West as a bad-ass bounty hunter, his only love connection a beautiful whore named Lilah (Megan Fox). When Ulysses S. Grant (Aidan Quinn), president of the newly reunited States, learns that Turnbull is creating a “super-weapon” that will be a “nation-killer,” he recruits Jonah to stop him. Our battered hero is well-equipped to do so. After a close call with death some years back, Jonah was left with one foot in the spirit world; and so while he spends much of the movie being shot and beaten, he appears to be unkillable. He’s attended by a pack of hellhounds (“I wouldn’t try to pet ’em if I was you”) and has the useful gift of bringing dead men back to life with a touch of his hand. (“I’m sorry I killed you,” he tells one corpse, after raising him from the grave. Says the dead guy: “I’d better be getting back under ground.”) Jonah also has a taste for esoteric weaponry — saddle-mounted Gatling guns, dynamite-firing crossbow pistols — and a talent for dodging bullets by simply leaning back a bit to let them fly by (past our madly rolling eyes). The lovely Lilah is no slouch in the slick department, either: When she and Jonah are handcuffed to an overhead rod, the cuffs suddenly snap free, and she brandishes a lock pick. “My mama didn’t raise no fool,” she says. (To which we reply, “What the hell … ?”) Despite the picture’s wall-to-wall uproar — train-jackings, bullet storms, incessant detonations — there’s little excitement to it. The action is furious from the outset and remains at that level throughout, increasingly diluting its intended effect. And the dialogue, which I take to be satirical, never quite meshes with the film’s heavy violence. Like its half-dead protagonist, the movie never comes completely alive. Leonardo DiCaprio To Star In J. Edgar Hoover Biopic

The movie, penned by ‘Milk’ screenwriter Dustin Lance Black, will be directed by Clint Eastwood. In “Catch Me If You Can” he was constantly one step ahead of the FBI as legendary scam artist Frank Abagnale Jr. He also earned the domestic intelligence agency’s attention as industrialist Howard Hughes in “The Aviator.” Now DiCaprio is set to lead the FBI, playing its very first director, J. Edgar Hoover. Deadline Hollywood reports that the “Shutter Island” star will take on the challenging task of bringing the controversial Hoover’s life to the big screen in a biopic to be directed by Clint Eastwood, who is also producing with Brian Grazer’s Imagine Entertainment. The script comes from Dustin Lance Black, the Oscar-winning screenwriter of “Milk.” Deadline further reports that the film is untitled, though IMDb identifies it simply as “Hoover.” A great deal of controversy surrounds the life of the FBI’s first director. Hoover served in a leadership role over the FBI and its precursor organizations for a total of 48 years. Although he is credited as being responsible for instituting many of the bureau’s grand-scale crime-fighting techniques, he has also been accused of misusing his power for political purposes and employing illegal methods in evidence-gathering. Following Hoover’s reign, the FBI instituted a 10-year maximum term for all directors. As for Hoover’s personal life, it is fraught with rumors that he was a closeted homosexual and cross-dresser. Many of these allegations come from untrustworthy sources and have been refuted, but it remains to be seen how Black chose to handle that aspect of the FBI director’s life in his script. DiCaprio teamed with filmmaker Martin Scorsese earlier in the year — their fourth collaboration — for an adaptation of the Dennis Lehane novel “Shutter Island.” The actor also has a major summer blockbuster coming next month, sci-fi action/thriller “Inception,” from “The Dark Knight” director Christopher Nolan. Eastwood has shifted in his later years from grizzled cowboy actor to respected filmmaker. He picked up Oscar nominations for “Mystic River” and “Letters From Iwo Jima,” and he took home Best Director and Best Picture awards in 2005 for “Million Dollar Baby,” a film for which he also received a Best Actor nom. Eastwood is set to release his latest directing effort, “Hereafter,” later this year. The Peter Morgan-penned supernatural thriller stars Matt Damon and Bryce Dallas Howard. “Hoover” is tentatively scheduled for a 2012 release. ‘Cyrus’: Bad Seed, By Kurt Loder

But in his Judd Apatow movies — especially “Superbad” — we began to see that he was capable of more than just roly-poly second-banana parts. So it’s been a pleasure to discover, in “Get Him to the Greek,” that Hill also has the makings of a convincing romantic lead; and now, in “Cyrus,” to find him at home in the darkly devious role of an overgrown mama’s boy from Hell. The picture is funny, but it has stalker-flick overtones that are unsettling, and the deft assurance with which Hill navigates its ambiguous narrative is impressive. The movie opens on John (John C. Reilly), an L.A. film editor and emotional basket case. He lives alone in a dreary apartment and has just learned from his ex-wife Jamie (Catherine Keener) that she’s getting married again. Jamie is still John’s best friend; she wants him to find a new love of his own, and she invites him to a party where there’ll be lots of possibilities. John gets loaded, though, and his come-ons to various women in attendance grow increasingly pathetic. (“I’m in a tailspin,” he tells one. “I have to make a phone call,” she says.) Then, however, he’s approached by Molly (Marisa Tomei), who’s been watching him and thinks he’s sweet. They go back to his place together. They go to bed. (“You’re a sex angel,” he says gratefully.) Come the dawn, though, she’s gone — although she has left behind an encouraging note. She returns the next night, and they have sex again — in fact, they’re falling in love. But once more she has to leave. “Are you a secret agent or something?” John asks. Molly is actually a single mom. And when John follows her back to her own apartment, he discovers that she lives with her son, Cyrus (Hill), who’s 21 years old, but still neurotically possessive about Molly, and, as we learn, dedicated to repelling any suitors. At first, Cyrus is oddly welcoming. (“It’s good to finally have a new dad,” he tells John.) Behind John’s back, though, this strange man-child is scheming to snuff out his mother’s kindling love affair. John is a little perplexed by Molly’s relationship with her son. They sing in the bathroom together while Molly’s taking a shower. They roll around in the park like a couple of tussling kids. Can John somehow insert himself between these codependent characters and win Molly for his own? Not if Cyrus has anything to say about it. Mumblecore kings Jay and Mark Duplass (“Baghead”) wrote and co-directed the movie, as is their usual practice. This time, though, they’ve been given a budget big enough to hire well-known actors. The picture still has the brothers’ familiar indie flourishes — sudden shaky camera zooms and an improvisational looseness — but the lead performers bring a professional heft to the picture that’s new to the Duplass oeuvre. The dialogue is sharply funny. (As his battle with Cyrus spins out of control, John hisses, “Do you know what it feels like to be knocked unconscious?”) But there are also moments that suggest the story could go in a chillier direction. (When John and Molly are about to have sex in the living room, they suddenly notice Cyrus sitting in the shadows, watching them. “Can I have a hug?” he asks.) For its first half, the film’s atmospheric uncertainty keeps us wondering which way it will go. The movie isn’t entirely successful — it’s sometimes too loose — but it’s an unusual ride. Kristen Stewart Says Jacob Becomes ‘Desirable’ To Bella In ‘Eclipse’

In “Eclipse,” due June 30, Kristen Stewart says the trials and tribulations faced by Bella, Edward and Jacob are about to come to a head. And, things are going to get really real, really fast. “There’s a moment right before the big battle happens; Jacob gets emotional and crazy, and he’s gonna try and hurt himself and fight,” Stewart told MTV News about one of her favorite scenes. “And [Bella] gets to a point where the only way to save him is to kiss him, and what surprises her is, she’s not only able to do it; she can clearly see that he offers a really desirable path that, before, because she was so obsessed with Edward … she just had to like nothing else. She had no perspective, and so it’s a moment.” Jacob making a strong case to win over Bella makes the supernatural “Twilight” characters seem more human than ever, Stewart said. “If she’s ever reeled, it’s that moment, and then two seconds after, she has to go talk to Edward about it, and he’s heard everything,” she said. “So it’s a little bit more … it’s just not as fantasy. It’s like a little bit more real. These are real people dealing with real problems; they’re not just vampires and wolves.” This real issue all stems back to the flick’s overarching love triangle , which becomes more intense in this film. “The love triangle is real,” Stewart said. “In [‘Eclipse’], she is just older and a little bit more [wise]. New ‘Eclipse’ Photos Emerge

Bella, Edward, Jacob and other beloved ‘Twilight’ characters populate 20 new production stills. By Josh Wigler Jacob (Taylor Lautner) and Bella (Kristen Stewart) in “Eclipse” Photo: Summit Entertainment There’s less than a month to go before the release of “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse,” but even three weeks of waiting seems like an eternity before the big-screen return of Bella (Kristen Stewart), Edward (Robert Pattinson) and Jacob (Taylor Lautner). With any luck, your appetites were somewhat satiated by the exclusive clip that debuted at the 2010 MTV Movie Awards , but if you’re still craving an immediate trip to the world of “Twilight,” this new batch of official “Eclipse” production stills should do the trick. Twenty new photos were released on the official “Twilight” Facebook page this evening, offering fans with detailed glimpses at fan-favorite characters and exotic locations. The stills cover a wide gamut of scenes, including Bella’s mortal high school pals Jessica (Anna Kendrick), Eric (Justin Chon), Angela (Christian Serratos) and Mike (Michael Welch) gathered near a school bus, as well as the supernatural Cullen family banded together in the picturesque woods of Forks, Washington. Although Team Jacob supporters hoping for shirtless pictures of Taylor Lautner will be in for a disappointment, the actor’s werewolf brethren more than compensate in the skin department with four flashy photos. Also pictured is Riley (Xavier Samuel), one of Victoria’s (Bryce Dallas Howard) many vampire minions and an eventual nemesis of Edward Cullen’s. In addition to the sexy and action-packed pictures, a significant portion of the photos are devoted to quieter moments featuring Stewart as Bella. She appears alone with characters such as Edward, Jacob and even her father, Charlie (Billy Burke), not to mention a well-shot behind-the-scenes photograph alongside “Eclipse” director David Slade who is not replacing Robert Pattinson as Edward, despite an amusing quip from one sarcastic commenter. By Josh Wigler Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner at the 2010 MTV Movie Awards Photo: Kevin Mazur/ WireImage With five awards for “The Twilight Saga: New Moon,” zilch for “Avatar,” visually insane dance numbers, gut-busting parodies and so much more, the 2010 MTV Movie Awards made for a wildly hilarious, frequently emotional and shockingly vulgar night. The evening kicked off with media mogul Les Grossman , who lived up to his fiery reputation by pushing popular actors like Will Smith and Michael Cera down some surprising new career paths. One such idea was “Bad Ass Cops,” a police-themed action adventure starring “Twilight” leading men Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner. But Grossman’s time in the spotlight was quickly yanked away by host Aziz Ansari , who followed up with some segments of his own, including one that put him in the tragic shoes of Claireece “Precious” Jones. The host finally took the stage thanks to an introduction made by music sensation Justin Bieber, prompting Ansari to launch into an opening comedy act that set the tone for the rest of the hilarious evening. Part of Ansari’s monologue dwelled on the pervasive popularity of “Twilight,” a notion that was decisively affirmed when Kristen Stewart kicked off the awards portion of the show by winning Best Female Performance for her portrayal of Bella Swan in the supernatural-romance franchise. Even the award for Breakthrough Performance went to Anna Kendrick, who won for “Up in the Air” but got her break in the “Twilight Saga.” Presenters and “Get Him to the Greek” co-stars Jonah Hill and Russell Brand embarked on an epic Team Jacob vs. Team Edward debate that left Sean “Diddy” Combs fully confused. That wasn’t the only hilarious moment from the “Greek” stars, as Hill and Brand engaged in a full-on lip-locking assault during a special Kiss Cam segment that also claimed Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens. But the most memorable kiss of the evening belonged to Sandra Bullock and Scarlett Johansson , as they shared a quick smooch during Bullock’s acceptance of the Generation Award. Indeed, Bullock’s acceptance speech was one of the highlights of the evening, marking her first major public appearance since news broke of husband Jesse James’ infidelity. To that end, Bullock wanted to clear the air on certain rumors: She is not dead, everyone has cellulite “not just me,” and paparazzi photographers need more flattering lenses. Taking a more serious tone, Bullock emphasized that even in light of her Generation Award, something that typically goes to “old people” as they wind down their careers, as she put it, she has no plans of leaving the spotlight. “No matter what you might have heard or read lately, I love what I do, and I’m not going anywhere,” she said, adding that everyone in the audience should say a prayer for those affected by the oil spill in the Gulf. Her emotional speech was matched only by “The Hangover” actor Ken Jeong’s own acceptance of the Best WTF Moment award. Jeong broke down in tears recounting his wife’s battle with breast cancer. “She taught me that life is short and you shouldn’t be afraid to take chances,” the choked-up Jeong announced, happily revealing that his wife has been cancer-free for two years now. Beyond Bullock and Jeong’s heartfelt speeches, the show featured some very different but no less intense moments, thanks to performances of Katy Perry and Snoop Dogg’s “California Gurls,” Christina Aguilera’s medley of songs from her upcoming album Bionic (complete with a glowing heart on her underwear) and the return of Les Grossman in a shockingly well-choreographed dance number opposite Jennifer Lopez. But the biggest laughs of the night came from Team Aziz. The host provided viewers with a terrific “Human Giant” reunion alongside Rob Huebel and Paul Scheer in a sketch titled “Stunt Kidz.” He also appeared as Taavon, a tough-as-nails swagger coach (who can only sit on purple chairs) hired to impart swagger tips to comedian Zach Galifianakis, an effort that paid off, as the “Hangover” comedian ultimately won the award for Best Comedic Performance. Ansari as Taavon accepted the award on Galifianakis’ behalf. Ansari also paved the way for one of the most foulmouthed Movie Awards in the ceremony’s history. Following Bullock’s acknowledgement of the oil spill in the Gulf region, Ansari wildly shouted “f— you, BP” numerous times as he sang an R. Kelly-style tribute to “Avatar.” But his filthy language paled in comparison to Mark Wahlberg and Will Ferrell’s, as the stars of “The Other Guys” dangled from the theater’s ceiling, frantically cursing at their situation. The incessant swearing of the show’s many guests didn’t go unnoticed by actor Peter Facinelli. While accepting the Best Movie award for “The Twilight Saga: New Moon,” Carlisle Cullen dropped some F-bombs of his own and two of them managed to slip past the censors, to the surprise of many. Less surprising, to Ansari at least, was the virtual awards sweep made by “New Moon.” The host may have over-exaggerated by declaring that ” ‘Twilight’ won everything,” but the franchise’s second installment did emerge as the evening’s greatest winner with victories in the Best Movie, Best Male Performance, Best Female Performance, Best Kiss and Global Star categories. “The Hangover” was the second most successful film with wins for Best Comedic Performance and Best WTF Moment, while “Avatar” walked away without a single award to its name. RZA Addresses Comments About The South That Offended Jay Electronica

By Shaheem Reid, with additional reporting by Sway Calloway RZA Photo: MTV News The O.D.: A Mixtape Daily Exclusive Jay Electronica got people heated — namely DJ Kay Slay — when he said some Southern MCs, such as Andre 3000 and Bun B, could roast cats from up North during an interview with TheMostInfluential.com last month. Electronica, ever the outspoken warrior, was very candid with the outlet. A few minutes into the topic, the conversation shifted to Wu-Tang Clan’s RZA. We all know Jay has the utmost respect for the clan from Shaolin; he shouts them out on his mixtape banger “The Ghost of Christopher Wallace.” But he admitted that he took exception to some comments from the Abbot he read years ago. “He said some real ridiculously stupid, ignorant things about some South people,” Jay said. Jay, who is from New Orleans, said he was offended when RZA was quoted questioning the intelligence of some Southern MCs while talking about the quality of lyricism. “I don’t like that,” Jay explained. “That would be like me coming to New York or another place and saying you’re of a lesser intelligence because you’re not knowledgeable about my circumstance or environment. “I took offense with RZA in that,” he added. “Peace unto RZA. That’s my brother, and RZA had a great effect on me. I wouldn’t be who I am if it wasn’t for RZA and the music he made with Wu-Tang Clan. But also RZA, you said some crazy, wild sh–. At that time, we might have had a physical altercation how I really felt about it. … Going around thinking people are slow. I just wanted to say that. Again, peace to RZA, he’s a beautiful black man. He’s done a lot for our culture, a lot for humanity in general with his music and his contribution.” Well, the RZA recently sat down and talked with MTV News’ Sway and was asked about Jay Electronica’s comments. The Wu founder wasn’t aware of Jay’s comments or his music, for that matter. RZA did have a very clear recollection of some things he said in the past about the South. “I know I said a few things about the South throughout my career in different periods,” RZA told Sway. “I don’t know the exact comment, but I remember I did an article in Rap Pages years ago, ’cause me and Master P had a talk about this years ago. I was speaking on the education level in the South, how brothers drop out … in the sixth grade — some of them because they have to go to work, some of them because of the poverty, some because they’re not interested in the education system … just a lot of crazy things that people from up North had evolved from. When I was doing this article, I was taking about my own family at first. My family comes from the South. They frying fat back in the kitchen, Grandpops didn’t have more than a sixth-grade reading level. My grandma was a welfare mom. “The truth is the truth, first of all. The South has evolved later than us,” RZA added. “Based upon where we are around. You can get a book in Harlem off the streets. Books like ‘Stolen Legacy’ the ‘Isis Paper,’ you can find this stuff in the streets of Harlem. Just walking around in Manhattan. In the South, they won’t find that in the bookstores nor the streets; they have to research it. With Internet knowledge, there’s a better chance for education for all. I felt and I seen. I got cousins out there that still live in the South. They have not picked up on the wavelength of where their mind should be. But hip-hop has helped it all evolve. Hip-hop, to me, is a blessing and a mercy for the black community first. Then I’ll say for the urban community, then I’ll say for American culture.” Also while talking to Sway, RZA noted that hip-hop doesn’t belong to just one region. The entire world has embraced it and has partial ownership. “If anybody got a question of what I say, they can ask me. I fear no man. I fear no MC’s talent,” he said. “But I definitely know when you young, you feel a certain way. At one point, we as Wu-Tang was like, ‘The whole industry is wack besides Wu-Tang.’ That was our energy, our spirit. That’s how we felt until we learned, ‘Wait a minute, hold on. ‘New Moon’ Men Battle For Best Male Performance At MTV Movie Awards

Channing Tatum, Daniel Radcliffe and last year’s winner, Zac Efron, are also in the race. By Jocelyn Vena Robert Pattinson in “The Twilight Saga: New Moon” Vampires, werewolves and wizards — oh my! Toss in a time-traveling Zac Efron and a letter-writing soldier, and you have the race for Best Male Performance at the 2010 MTV Movie Awards , airing this Sunday, June 6, at 9 p.m. ET/PT on MTV. Efron might have a leg up on the other guys, since he took home this very Golden Popcorn last year for “High School Musical 3: Senior Year,” but Robert Pattinson , Taylor Lautner , Daniel Radcliffe and Channing Tatum will no doubt put up a good fight. Last year’s winner returned to high school for “17 Again,” this time as a grown man trapped in a 17-year-old’s body. Can Efron prove that he’s the big man on campus again? If supernatural beings are more your thing, then “New Moon” offers up two performances that will certainly get your blood pumping — which, if you’re around Pattinson’s Edward Cullen , could be a dangerous thing. Bella Swan’s man faces off against her best friend, Jacob Black, played by a beefed-up Lautner . This is the ultimate case of Team Edward vs. Team Jacob. Of course, Lautner, Pattinson and fellow “Twilight Saga” star Kristen Stewart will be at the Movie Awards on Sunday to present an exclusive new clip from “Eclipse” ! Radcliffe is making a compelling case for the Golden Popcorn, reprising his teen-wizard role in “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.” There are no halves here: He can either win it or lose it. It may take a little magic for Tatum to take home the prize. He made girls cry and made Amanda Seyfried swoon in “Dear John,” but he’s up against some stiff competition in this category.
