Hart of Dixie: Canceled by The CW!

It’s all over for Hart of Dixie, which is officially dead and buried. Weeks after airing a season finale that most presumed would be a series finale, Hart of Dixie was finally given the actual network axe today by The CW. One of the few CW shows to NOT focus on the supernatural these days, Hart of Dixie centered on Rachel Bilson as Dr. Zoe Hart. A New York native, she took to a small town in Alabama. Bluebell boasted lovable residents as Scott Porter’s lawyer, George; Wilson Bethel’s bartender, Wade; and Jaime King’s southern bell, Lemon. For those reasons, Hart of Dixie enjoyed a loyal fan base, but low actual ratings that never failed to grow and ultimately led to the show’s demise. Earlier this week, The CW renewed iZombie for Season 2. Meanwhile, it had already given the green light to new seasons of Arrow, The Flash , The Originals, The Vampire Diaries and Beauty and the Beast. In related news… apparently Beauty and the Beast is still a show that’s on television. You learn something every day in this business! View Slideshow: 9 TV Shows That SHOULD Be Canceled

Sleepy Hollow Season 2 Episode 6 Recap: Gazing Into the Abyss

With a blend of humor, mythology, character moments and crazy twists, Sleepy Hollow Season 2 Episode 6 surely did not let down fans of the Fox series. Watch Sleepy Hollow Season 2 Episode 6 Online The focal point of the night was Sheriff Corbin’s son, Joe, who returns to Sleepy Hollow, New York, after a bizarre series of maulings begin to take place. Ichabod Crane is having a tough time because of how disappointed he is in Katrina and her lies. Abbie says he may want to try yoga to find some inner peace. He prefers the local tavern, however. Should’ve known. There, he and Abbie are reunited with Joe Corbin, who survived a brutal assault during the war and made his way back up to this dozy little town. Not dozy for the men who get attacked in the woods. Ichabod connects this to Joe’s platoon, saying that Daniel Boone’s brother was a beast who attacked Daniel, whose famous hat sas designed to cover a scar. Daniel, he says, once told the tale of a beast that was half human, half wild animal and feasted on human organs. A wendigo, or so the legend has it. Joe, confronted by Sherrif Corbin, runs from Abbie and Ichabod. When Crane falls and cuts himself, this is the trigger for the now-inevitable wendigo transition. They take him down with tranquilizers, but further investigation is needed and Nick reveals that any “cures” have traditionally consisted of … well, putting it down. There is hope, though, according to Shawnee lore, and when Jenny feeds the wendigo some nice human organs, he returns to human form. Joe is back. He informs our heroes about a powder he received in the mail with Henry’s return address, a “supernatural anthrax” if you will. This is what Henry sought. After they track it down, Joe hands it over to avoid a violent bloodbath, but rather than cure Joe, Henry cuts him once more, triggering the wendigo. Abbie traps him in an alley as Ichabod recites the Shawnee incantation that will bring him back to human form without having to put an end to its life. It works, thank goodness, but they’re not out of the woods yet, since Henry used the poison to conjure up a tiny spider we see going in Katrina’s mouth. Ick. Mary Jo Eustace: Paid to Appear on True Tori Season 2! Promised Non-Villain Role!

Mary Jo Eustace, Dean McDermott’s former wife, was reportedly paid $10,000 for her appearance on True Tori Season 2, and even that took some persuading. Not only did it take money, but producers had to promise the original Mrs. McDermott that she won’t be portrayed as any sort of villain, a new report claims. Insiders say Mary Jo Eustace was first “approached by Dean at Tori’s demand to see if there was any interest in coming on the show,” for its second season. “Producers needed a new storyline, and Mary Jo’s name came up.” Eustace didn’t agree immediately, but eventually came around: “At first, Mary Jo said no, but began to talk to Tori. After being offered $10,000, and a promise that she would not be portrayed as the evil ex-spouse, Mary Jo agreed.” Tori Spelling famously hooked up with McDermott when she was married to another man, and he was married to Mary Jo. The cheating pair eventually left their spouses. Now married with four kids of their own, their own union was left in tatters last year when Dean allegedly put it to Emily Goodhand while traveling on business. True Tori Season 2 Premiere Clip – Mary Jo Eustace?! In a True Tori Season 2 promo clip, the two wives talk about him in an awkwardly scripted conversation that, to their credit, does seem fairly genuine. Tori tells her, “You can say ‘I told you so.’” Eustace is forgiving and won’t even go there, noting, “I don’t hate Dean. I mean he’s a total knob. I know that.” “But he’s your knob now.” Spelling also has “ clear ulterior motives in attempting to befriend Mary Jo on camera,” the insider dishes, knowing it’ll give her even more of an upper hand. “She is hoping that this will make her more sympathetic to viewers. Also, it will make Dean look like a fool for cheating on both of them. It’s dysfunction at its best.” That pretty much sums up these two knobs to a T. Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott: Through Good Times and Bad 1. Tori and Dean Moment Tori and Dean share a touching moment. So much to say about these two.

Nail’d It Season 1 Episode 2 Recap: Who Did and Who Didn’t?

Nail’d It Season 1 Episode 2 marked the second episode of this sophomore series hosted by former Cheetah Girl and Rob Kardashian girlfriend Adrienne Bailon. Watch Nail’d It Season 1 Episode 2 Online The premiere of this intriguing new show introduced us to the aspiring nail artists looking for a career boost and the six-figure prize to help make that happen. On  Nail’d It Season 1 Episode 2 , the hopefuls who survived the premiere had to balance class with funk for clients consisting of music managers and other professionals. To make matters worse (or better, depending on how successful they were), there was a challenge involving both sugar and spice. Literally, and otherwise. It had a candy theme. This week’s competitors are Temeka, 30, Thao, 24, and China, 27, who calls herself “Bling Queen” in the third person, but backs up that talk with her work. So who prevailed? Each of the three contestants put a very different twist on this, and after Thao was announced the winner of the competition, she broke down in tears. Thao feels like her career now has legitimacy, as does China, who earns second place and another opportunity to compete for a chance in the finals. Poor Temeka is out, but she knows this isn’t the end of her career. In fact, her experience on Nail’d It proves she has what it takes to be among the best. After two episodes, we have Classic and Thao in the finals. Next week, three new competitors will create nail art that is the bouquet for a bride’s wedding. That should be incredible, and incredibly high stakes, given that it’s a wedding and all … not to mention a far cry from the candy scene in this episode. Doing fragile and highly scrutinized work on the most memorable and photographed day of someone’s life? Let’s hope the Bling Queen is up to the task.

Supernatural Season 10 Episode 2 Recap: Return to the Impala

We kicked off Supernatural Season 10 Episode 2 by going back June 21, 2003, where a 13-year-old Cole wakes up to find that his dad has been killed by Dean. We know, of course, that the man was possessed because Dean is gripping his demon-killing knife, but someone try telling that to Cole. He has spent his entire life readying for his revenge. And step one of that Emily Thorne-esque plan involves beating up Sam for intel. Watch Supernatural Season 10 Episode 2 Online However, Cole then receives a family phone call and Sam uses the opening to grab the first old truck he can find, calling Castiel for help. After learning Dean is a demon, Castiel agrees to meet up with Sam to find his brother – but he gets a tad sidetracked when he falls asleep behind the wheel, causing him and Hannah to hang out at a mechanic’s house while the car is fixed. Remember the days when Cas could have just zapped himself away somewhere? It’s then back on the road for Cas and Hannh… except he falls asleep again. So Hannah takes the sandbox to heaven to ask a favor of Metatron. Will he hand over some of Castiel’s grace for his freedom? No, Castiel interrupts and says he won’t allow Metatron to escape. (NOTE: The latter goes on to to refer to Castiel here as “ASStiel,” hehe.) Dean, meanwhile, gets angry when a strip club tells him he can’t touch the naked workers. He goes outside and there’s Crowley, who goes for a drink with his protege. He tells Dean he must kill or he’ll snap, so Dean agrees to murder a cheating wife… only for the husband to get home and refer to Dean as a “freak” and bite it himself instead. Crowley is now angry over being cost a soul. Crowley dumps Dean off on Sam after the two fight about whether Dean is on Team Human or Team Demon, with Sam finding Dean playing piano at a bar. Although Dean says he doesn’t want to be cured, Sam tell him that it’s time to go home. But then Cole shows up and knocks Sam out, finally coming to face off with his nemesis. Seeing Cole kill himself to attempt and get to Dean – with Dean not  taking him seriously at all – was the best moment of the hour. Heck, Dean even makes a Princess Bride reference. However, Dean doesn’t kill Cole. In letting him go, he provides Sam with enough time to grab some holy water and handcuffs and secure Dean in the backseat of the Impala. From there, Sam goes to meet Crowley and hands over the First Blade, which Crowley claims he wants for safety. In the car ride home, Sam says letting Cole survive was proof of Dean’s humanity. But Dean counters that allowing Cole to live with his loss after a lifetime of preparation was a fate worse than death. And then Dean threatens Sam while calling him “Sammy.” Darn. These two still have a long way to go. What did you think of the installment? Supernatural Season 10 Episode 1 Recap: A Man of His Word

We kicked off Supernatural Season 10 Episode 1 with Sam torturing a demon in order to learn the location of Crowley and Dean. Upon slicing her throat, Sam was told: “Whatever soul you had, whatever Boy Scout code you cuddled up to at night, it’s all gone.” So… yeah. It was a nice and bright opening few moments. Cut to four weeks later and Sam still has no idea where to find his brother. Neither does Castiel who admits to missing Dean and wonders: is the real Dean even still out there? Or has the demon taken over completely? We then do finally see Dean, as he’s enjoying some karaoke, not caring one bit that everyone’s booing him. He also hooks up with a waitress, casually dismisses her afterward and beats up her abusive boyfriend. Badly. Oh, and he kills a number of Abaddon’s groupies with the First Blade. However, as Sam later discovers, they were actually sent by Crowley, who’s attempting to keep Dean at the ready for their professional future. Sam vows to save Dean, but Crowley comes back at him by saying it’s not what Dean’s become that bothers him. “You can’t stand the fact that he’s mine,” he states. “Dean Winchester completes me.” Yup, move over, Jerry Maguire! Crowley’s mission? To “create the perfect Hell” with Demon Dean’s assistance, telling him they’re just “moving the party” and leaving Dean to contemplate this offer. Meanwhile, another hunter named Cole is after Dean, unaware of what’s he’s turned into. He kidnaps Sam in the process, as we lean that something went down between Cole and Dean many years ago and “now he’s prey, and I’m the monster,” according to Cole. He then phones Dean to demand a trade. However, he’s not about to to go save his sibling, instead just telling Cole that he’ll find him one day. And kill him very dead, of course. We cut back to Castiel for a minute as Hannah pays him a visit, seeking assistance with two rogue angels (Daniel and Adina) who murdered one of them own for trying to bring them home. Once this pair is found, Castiel kills Daniel to save Hannah’s life, while Adina escapes. Cas is left to wonder if he’s been on Earth for too long. “There’s seemingly nothing but chaos,” he says. And that applies to the Winchesters certainly, as Dean tells Cole after the latter threatens to kill Sam: “I told him to let me go, so any jam he’s in now, that is his problem… He knows damn sure that if I am one thing, I am a man of my word.” EEK!
