The Bachelor star Chris Soules says he is happy to be in love with the woman who wins his final rose, and heart, on the upcoming season of the ABC hit show. Who is that woman? The Bachelor spoilers have that purported info for you, but he’s not kissing and telling for now, other than to humbly gush about the “journey.” With Chris Soules as the leading man, The Bachelor promises to be a little different this season. True to form, the glitz and glamor have been dialed down. “We stayed in the United States for the most part, obviously spending time in Iowa,” host Chris Harrison says. “We really wanted to embrace who this guy. Part of that means showing the aspiring wives “what the girls are going to have to eventually live with” if they pursue such “a hard-working blue collar guy.” “He comes from a very different place,” Harrison says of the fourth-generation farmer from Arlington, Iowa. “Literally and figuratively. That’s what we were all taken by.” Apparently the ladies were quite taken, as well. Soules tells People Magazine that “I was going in completely open-minded and there were so many great girls … the quality of women was pretty amazing.” The 33-year-old wanted to “see how they could handle it” in Iowa and more broadly in situations that are closer to real life than standard fare on The Bachelor . “It’s not really a show for roughing it. Chris fell hard for Andi Dorfman on her season of The Bachelorette and made it to the final three, but she just could not see herself as an Iowa farmer’s wife. This time, Soules could focus 100 percent on the relationships and not his own lifestyle, “because everyone knew what they were getting into,” he says. Andi went on to get engaged to Josh Murray on her finale. “[With] Andi, it was always kind of the elephant in the room that we didn’t really talk about until it came right down to it,” he says of his unusual occupation. “My goal was to find someone I first could just fall in love with and think and hope and believe she is my soul mate … compromise is the next thing to focus on.” As for the outcome? He’s not revealing much, but … “I am happy I did it,” Soules said about finding his future wife on the show. “I don’t think I could get through that again, [but] I’m extremely happy with the outcome.” “I’m happy to say I’m in love.
