As previously reported, Jermaine Jones will be cut from American Idol tonight – and now we have a much clearer idea why. The 6’8″ finalist is reportedly anything but a gentle giant, as TMZ has uncovered details from his March 5, 2011 arrest. Jermaine Jones – “Knocks Me Off My Feet” It stemmed from an incident at a Howard Johnson hotel in New Jersey, where Jones gave police a phony name and was charged with public nuisance and obstruction of justice, while also possessing outstanding warrants. Then, on 11/27/11, Jones gave cops a different fake name when the car he was riding in got pulled over. In this case, he was booked for hindering apprehension and giving false information to avoid self-discovery, while – again – having outstanding warrants in his (real) name. Moreover, sources say Jones has been “very aggressive” behind the American Idol scenes, once yelling at a staff members over his wardrobe selection. Still, despite his past transgressions, it’s conceivable Jermaine could have remained on the show if he had just been up front. Instead, he swore to producers that his record was clean. Honesty, readers. It remains the best policy.
Are Sandra Bullock and director/notorious playboy Brett Ratner engaged in a “dangerous” romance? One tabloid would certainly have you believe it, but no. This week, In Touch ran a cover with a laughing Bullock and Ratner Photoshopped atop her, with the headline reading, “SANDRA’S RISKY NEW ROMANCE.” The caption: “Two years after her divorce, she’s opened her heart and learned to trust again. But will dating Hollywood’s biggest player end in heartbreak?” Turns out the only thing Bullock is doing with Ratner is issuing statements. Bullock and Ratner issued the following statement to The Huffington Post , deriding the magazine while firmly denying any claims of a romantic connection : “We think that it’s incredibly sad that in these times, this magazine would resort to a complete fabrication, solely for financial gain,” the twosome said. “There is not a shred of accuracy in their story … We have not seen nor spoken to each for over a decade. We both had a great time after the Oscars.” “Just not with each other.”
John Mayer has been forced to cancel his spring tour. Due to a recurrence of his inflamed throat condition , the douchebag of an artist posted the following message on his Tumblr account today, explaining the change of plans and referencing his upcoming album: “I have no choice but to take an indefinite break from live performing. Though there will be a day when all of this will be behind me, it will sideline me for a longer period of time than I care to have you count down. “Okay, so here’s the plan… Born and Raised will be released as scheduled, but because I don’t make a very good anything-other-than-a-musician, I’m going to begin writing the next album very soon. “I’m pretty emotionally burnt out at the moment, but please know how hard I tried to resolve this and how disappointed I am that I can’t perform this record yet. I’m completely bummed, especially for all of you who started making plans to see a show. The Bachelor season finale and After the Final Rose special air on Monday. All eyes will be on Ben Flajnik and his fiancee … whomever that may be. That would be probably one-third true. All of the reputable intel we’ve found thus far suggests that he has NOT broken up with his fiancee – despite his increasingly obvious lack of enthusiasm for the show and allegedly kissing some random girl last week. They’re still together. For now. The After the Final Rose special Monday night should be telling, as it was filmed March 4, and will offer at least some insight on how the couple is doing. The cover photo of the star is hilariously Photoshopped to the point where her head and body don’t even look proportional any longer. She looked slender, but healthy THIS WEEKEND. While the 36-year-old actress is clearly thin, she’s not anorexic. Her upper arms have some flesh on them, her cheeks look full enough, and so on. Star’s claim that the 5’7″ actress weight has plummeted to 99 pounds seems full-on absurd, but that’s their claim, citing the good ol’ anonymous source: “Angie has gotten so skinny and frail, Brad thinks she needs professional help,” the source said, adding that Brad staged an “intervention,” to get her help. “Her face looks sunken. On the red carpet, her arms look like twigs.” Uh huh. “Brad is really concerned with her eating habits,” the source adds. “She’s existing on cereal bars and smoothies and slipped to just 99 pounds.” “She is so thin yet will still go on a carrot-juice fast for days.
