It’s Kind Of A Funny Story Is Also Kind of a Disappointing One

Here’s my kind of funny story: When I was a post-collegiate punk with an afternoon to burn, I would often spend hours riding the single ticket I bought at the very cineplex where most of the TIFF screenings are taking place into and out of two or three different movies. It feels eerie to see many of my New York colleagues clamoring at the scene of the crime, and even stranger to hop from film to film not furtively but as festival workers smile and wave me in. I have to say: The thrill has been compromised.

I have a new crush and it is on this crazy fucking bitch from Youtube who I guess thinks she’s some kind of performing artist, but who I think has to be a comedian, because after spending the last 3 days watching everyone of her youtube videos on repeat, I’ve come to the conclusion that it has to be a joke, but I could be wrong…maybe that’s just what she wants me to think it is….cuz I know after polluting myself with this amazingness obsessively…I can’t really put two coherent thoughts together….I just know I want to buy her CD and I want to buy it now…she’s brainwashed me and that’s why I wrote her this email: I am really liking your videos and wanted to know how I could book you to play my party. It is taking place in my bedroom and the stage is my face…You are talent. Vehement protests from animal activists prompted scientists on Thursday to temporarily stop an avalanche experiment that involved burying pigs in snow and monitoring their deaths. The opportunity to jab yourself in the eye with a tiny computer display is one step closer, thanks to the ongoing work with opto-electronic contact lenses taking place at the University of Washington in Seattle. The lab there has been showing off the latest prototype, the handiwork of Dr. Babak Parviz: a semi-transparent array – including an LED – embedded into a contact lens that receives 330 microwatts of power wirelessly from a nearby RF transmitter.
