One disappearing daddy don’t stop no show Tameka Raymond Celebrates Naviyd’s 4th Birthday Yesterday, Tameka Raymond and her family celebrated her son, Naviyd Ely Raymond’s, 4th birthday along with Santa Claus, Scooby Doo, big brother, aunties, cousins, Lil Ray-Ray from down the block, and gang of other folks. Everyone it seems, except Navi’s old man… Despite the no-show daddy, the party seemed to go off without a hitch, it was all smiles and hugs as Tameka took to her Instagram page to share the festivities with the rest of us common folk. So what the hell was Usher doing that he couldn’t attend his son’s 4th birthday party?!? Well, some might say he was trying to kill himself… While the rest of the family was cutting cake and scooping ice cream, the R&B star was jumping out of plane in Dubai. A judge may have ruled, but the legal battle between Usher and Tameka Foster appears to have no end in sight. Late last month, the singer won primary custody of the two children he shares with Foster, only for his ex-wife to appeal the decision on the grounds that the judge was biased because Usher raised funds for his campaign in 2008. And now Usher has filed a motion in response to that appeal. In documents submitted last Wednesday, the artist urges the court to deny Foster’s request because it is “an assault on the integrity of the court.” He argues that the granting of a new custody trial would create a slippery slope in which all decisions could be a reversed if an attorney contributed to a judge’s campaign. Usher alleges that Foster’s legal maneuvering “constitutes a continuum of [Tameka’s] vile and unsupported claims that every person who dared testify against her … is biased and tainted.” No word from the judge regarding either filing yet, but we have a feeling we have not heard the last from either of these parties. The legal battle between Usher and his ex-wife is far from over. The singer won primary custody of the two children he shares with Tameka Foster last week, but sources tell TMZ the latter plans to file an appeal because she smells corruption, pointing to a fundraiser thrown in 2008 by Usher’s attorney’s law firm for the judge that presided over this case. It raised $1,278. Foster simply doesn’t understand how the judge could have ruled in Usher favor , considering how frequently he is on the road. She’s already interviewing attorneys for her planned appeal in fact. The custody battle has grown exceedingly ugly as time has gone on. Most recently, Foster accused her ex of using her stepson’s death – 11-year Kile Glover died this summer following a jetski accident – to delay proceedings in his favor. She has also alleged that Usher had an affair with his nanny and that he took drugs in front of his kids. [Photos: WENN.com]
