Floyd Mayweather is in hot water again with the IRS to the tune of $3.4 million. The IRS recently filed a lien against the boxer in late January with the Clark County Recorder in Nevada. Mayweather is believed to owe taxes from 2009, the same year he came out of retirement to fight Juan Manuel Márquez and pocketed $25 million. The IRS filed a $5,610,034 tax lien against Carter on March 28 with the Miami-Dade County Clerk. According to the lien, he owes income taxes from 2008-09. The actor, who has been recurring on Glee this season, shot down chatter that he’d be taking over for Charlie Sheen on Two and a Half Men yesterday. “I don’t want to replace anyone, especially Charlie Sheen,” Stamos told Ryan Seacrest on his KIIS radio show. “It’s just not where my head’s at.” Stamos does find the talk “flattering,” but he says he has no idea how or why it started. “Nobody has officially talked to me and, quite frankly, as flattering as it is… it’s really not part of my career plan right now. Richard Hatch, winner of Survivor and current contestant on Celebrity Apprentice , is going to jail for not paying taxes for the money he won on Survivor . The reality star has served more than three years for tax evasion already. He has been under supervised release and was supposed to re-file his taxes. Hatch, who apparently can’t outwit, outplay or outlast the Internal Revenue Service, failed to do so again and did not fork over taxes from 2000-01. Richard needs to Hatch a plan to hire an accountant. “It needs to be a severe punishment,” U.S. District Court Judge William Smith told Hatch. “That’s the only thing that will deter you in the future.” Hatch was also ordered to serve 26 months of supervised release. During that time, a quarter of his gross income will be paid directly to the IRS. Hatch, who now owes an estimated $2 million, reports to prison Monday. There’s a lesson in this, people. Withholding. It works pretty effectively.
