He may never, ever be getting back together with Taylor Swift . But his status as a single man on Valentine’s Day is the least of Conor Kennedy’s this morning. The 18-year old was arrested (along with 47 others) yesterday outside the White House. The reason? His protest of the proposed Keystone XL tar sands pipeline, which he believed would carry dirty oil into the country. “The threat to our planet’s climate is both grave and urgent,” civil rights activist Julian Bond said in a statement. “Although President Obama has declared his own determination to act, much that is within his power to accomplish remains undone, and the decision to allow the construction of a pipeline to carry millions of barrels of the most-polluting oil on Earth from Canada’s tar sands to the Gulf Coast of the U.S. is in his hands.” Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Daryl Hannah were among those led away in handcuffs alongside Conor, with witnesses saying the crowd cheered upon seeing such famous faces.

So I didn’t know people held world premieres for music videos, but Courtney Stodden apparently had one for her new song “Reality.” I’m not sure if it was before or after she put on this pole-dancing show at an LA night club, but I’m assuming it was after, as a way to say sorry for what she’d just put everyone through. The Great 2013 Taylor Swift Cleavage Tour continued at the Grammys last night, and while I couldn’t tell you if she won any awards, because my brain automatically goes into sleep mode whenever it’s gone longer than 5 minutes without seeing cleavage, Taylor’s definitely starting to win me over. Let’s hope she stays single for a while longer and keeps this up. For now though, just enjoy it while it lasts.
Taylor Swift is single, but not yet ready to mingle on Valentine’s Day. Following her split from Harry Styles , the artist was asked this week by Ryan Seacrest just how she planned to celebrate February 14? The answer? It’s not very romantic. “I’m probably going to be with my friends or rehearsing,” Swift said, adding that the age of 23 has been fantastic so far, despite the break-up. “It’s just hands down been the best year. It’s been amazing it’s been exciting. I got to make a record that’s different than anything I’ve ever done before.” “The fact I was able to branch out and everybody is embracing it. It feels like the best year I’ve had so far, it’s been wonderful.” The next single off that album will be titled “22” and it was written with friends such as Selena Gomez and Emma Stone in mind, Taylor says. “That was kind of the marker of me being 22 is having all these friends. There are a lot of question marks in your life like where you’re going, who you’re going to meet, but the one thing you have is you have each other.” Whatever happens on February 14, Taylor, we recommend making some Valentine’s Day brownies .
