Amber Rose Facing $1 Million Lawsuit Over Ace Of Diamonds Ownership Announcement Many were taken aback when news broke that Amber Rose was now the new owner of famed L.A. strip club Ace Of Diamonds. Was she making THAT much money? Why would the owners sell it? Something just didn’t add up. Well, according to TMZ , the reason it doesn’t add up is because technically Amber doesn’t own the club. She does, however, own a corporation called Ace of Diamonds. Word is that Muva applied for a trademark for the name as well as the well-known acronym “AoD”. The trademark hasn’t been made official quite yet, but Amber felt so sure she would be approved that she went ahead and made her announcement. Thing is, AoD has been a successful business for several years, that might stand in the way of Amber’s trademark approval. But that might be least of her troubles because the actual owners of L.A. best shake junts are suing her for BIG money. TMZ reports state that AoD proprietors want $1 million for slander and have called Amb’s claim “unequivocally false”. Without a solitary f**k to give, Amber says in 90 days her new location will be open for business…on the same poppin’ night as the “real” AoD. Monday. Last month, we learned that Courtney Stodden and Doug Hutchison got divorced . In the weeks since, Stodden has sped right past the usual celebrity meltdown milestones. First, Courtney developed a drinking problem (or at least pretended to #mystique). Shortly thereafter, she shaved her head for reasons that remain unclear. But just when we were braced for her to enter a rebound relationship with Charlie Sheen and start munching Xanax out of a bowl with a cereal spoon, she finally began to pull herself out of the tailspin. It’s really recent and the emotions are still really raw.” Courtney added that she’s been occupying herself by becoming fluent in Dr. Phil-ese, saying: “It’s hard right now but we’re trying to individually find our happiness. It’s just really sad right now.” Stodden says that even though the marriage didn’t last, she still reflects fondly on her time with her acting coach-turned-Humbert Humbert: “He’s been my rock for me through so many things that I’ve been through,” Stodden told Us. “It’s been interesting for sure.” We’re starting to think that Courtney’s definition of “interesting” is very different from ours. Lady Gaga and Metallica's Grammys duet was plagued by technical problems Sunday night, but the unlikely collaboration still worked. As well as it could have, at least, considering that James Hetfield's microphone wasn't working … not a small issue for a rock band. For the first minute, Gaga effectively took over as lead singer while Hetfield sang “Moth Into Flame” lyrics into an ineffective mic. Those who watched the 2017 Grammy Awards live on CBS knew what was going on, but you could barely tell watching the artists. Handling it like … well, rock stars, they didn't miss a beat. Hetfield and Gaga shared ended up sharing her mic, adding a cool theatrical element to the performance, albeit an unplanned one. Gaga even launched herself into the sellout audience for some crowd surfing at one point, a throwback to Metallica concerts of yore. Even old school Metallica fans had to appreciate that … With a mix of their heavy metal grit and her pop bombast, not to mention insane pyrotechnics and headbangers, they gave it their all. While you might not expect these two acts to perform together, given their different musical styles, both are performers in the true sense. As for how this collaboration ended up happening? “I was at Bradley [Cooper's] house with Lars [Ulrich, Metallica's drummer] and we were just hanging out,” Gaga said recently. “He's amazing. I went to see them live.” “I saw them recently and we were watching the show,” she added, “those guys play better than they’ve played in their whole lives.” The Grammys capped a huge week for the pop icon. One week earlier, the career-spanning medley that was the Lady Gaga Super Bowl halftime show was widely praised as a success. She, not unlike James Hetfield and his fellow band members, has put together an impressive resume that will stand the test of time. The 2017 Grammy Awards were Adele's night, with so many unforgettable moments attributed to her, it's hard to know where to start. Her tribute to the late George Michael stood out in particular, though, because of how she flubbed it – then recovered in amazing fashion. About a minute into her performance honoring the music icon, who died on Christmas 2016, Adele put a stop to it and asked for a re-do. She briefly cursed and asked the band to restart her rendition of “Fastlove, pt. 1,” saying she didn't want to mess this one up for Michael. Referring to the show's producer Ken Ehrlich, and the technical issues that plagued her performance last year, she said, “I'm sorry Ken.” “I know it’s live TV; I’m sorry I can’t do it again, like last year. I’m sorry for swearing. I’m sorry for starting again. Can we please start it again?” “I’m sorry … I cant mess this up for him. I’m sorry.” “I’m sorry for swearing! I’m really sorry. Sorry.” It was worth it. Adele went on to turn in a beautiful, stunning tribute, in which scenes from Michael's iconic career played on screen. You can watch it in its entirety below. She received a standing ovation – perhaps even bigger than the one that followed the show-opening Adele “Hello” Grammy performance . It was an unorthodox, but moving take on the track. “Adele chose to sing ‘Fastlove, pt. 1’ herself,” reveals an Adele source. “That was her pick. She really wanted to perform that song.” The song is normally mid-to-up-tempo, but given his recent passing at the age of 53, Adele's slower, orchestral version was perfect. Michael would have likely been touched by it. “He would smile and be so proud that this artist is performing this song,” James Corden, the host of the event, said of Adele's performance. Just as Bruno Mars honored Prince at the Grammy Awards, Michael received a fitting send-off after his life ended far too soon last year. Michael sold over 100 million records during his career, first as a teen idol and later as an introspective, boundary-pushing solo artist. The openly gay, two-time Grammy winner was an innovator in the studio and on stage, and a dedicated philanthropist in his personal life. It's no surprise that his legacy has touched so many brilliant performers across generations and around the world, this one among them. As for Adele, she won Album of the Year last night, though if you take her word for it, it was Beyonce who truly deserved to win the honor. “I’m very humbled and I’m very grateful and gracious, but my artist of my life is Beyoncé,” the 28-year-old singer told the audience. Clearly wanting to stay on the Beyhive's good side, she added: “This album to me, the Lemonade album, was just so monumental. It was so monumental and thought-out and so beautiful and soul-baring.” “We all got to see another side to you that you don’t always let us see and we appreciate that,” Adele told a beaming Beyonce Sunday. “All us artists here adore you. Frank Ocean Claps Back At Grammy Producers And Taylor Swift Goes Down In The Crossfire Go ahead and crown Frank Ocean the Clapback King. The Blonde singer has been outspoken about his decision to skip the 2017 Grammy’s . When the public learned he opted not to submit his music for nomination , he told the NY Times “the infrastructure of the awarding system and the nomination system and screening system is dated.” Ocean added, “I’d rather this be my Colin Kaepernick moment for the Grammys than sit there in the audience.” Colin Kaepernick eh? In any case, the trouble all started this time around when Grammy producer Ken Ehrlich and writer David Wild went on the Rolling Stone Music Now podcast to promote this year’s show and address controversy. Being that the big controversy this year is all these “URBAN” artists skipping the show — of course they were asked about it. Wild responded by specifically calling out Frank’s awkward 2013 “Forrest Gump” performance: “Frank had a very definite idea of exactly what he wanted to do and how he wanted to do it,” Wild said. “Ken said, that’s not great TV, and what he’s taught all of us is, ‘We’re not putting on a radio show … you have to make it a TV moment.’ And he knew from the start that that was not one of those moments.” Ouch. And if that’s not bad enough — Ehrlich added that Ocean was “rigid” about his concept: “and we executed his vision knowing that it was faulty. And we tried to tell him that, we tried to tell his management that, we tried to tell the record label that. So, his feelings about the Grammys right now, I would imagine, probably go back to that in one way. But honestly, it wasn’t us.” So yeah, as you can imagine, Frank had some things to say in response. He took to his Tumblr to air it all out. After conceding that his 2013 performance was “absolute sh**” he claps back directly at Ehrlich and Wild’s comments. Here’s the highlight: You know what’s really not “great tv” guys? ‘1989’ Getting Album of the Year over ‘To Pimp A Butterfly.’ Hands down one of the most ‘faulty’ TV moments I’ve seen.
