I am enrolled in an Environmental Studies class this semester at college, and the professor has asked us each to start a wiki as part of the curriculum. Since I am unfamiliar with this technology, I had to do some researching. I found this wiki , and thought it was interesting. It discusses coal issues. I’ll share my wiki with everyone once I figure out how to get it set up.

Scientists struggle for wind power solutions

“By 2030 the Department of Energy wants 20 percent of electricity produced in the United States to be generated by wind. Wind currently generates less than 1 percent of the country's electricity, so the increase will require the number of new wind turbine installations to jump from 2,000 to 7,000 per year, according to the DOE. Although wind turbines, which typically stand 300 feet tall, are environmentally benign when compared to coal fired power plants, they are much more complex than the simple windmills of the past and face a number of operating problems that scientists are trying to solve.

Experts grow new teeth in adult mice – Dogs and Humans next

Why the heck would someone want mice teeth in their mouth! Oh, ok..this will be converted to Human teeth then.ok..but those dogs look funny with em! Here's the story: Scientists in Japan have managed to grow fully functional teeth in adult mice using cells from an embryo, and they hope the same technology can be used to grow human organs in the future. “This therapy has the potential to restore the partial loss of organ function,” they wrote in their paper published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.
