Jenelle Evans, Leah Messer, Kailyn Lowry and Chelsea Houska reunited last night in part two of the MTV reality show’s time-honored “checkup” with Dr. Drew Pinsky. Last week, in part one of the reunion , Kailyn and Jenelle were in the hot seat. This time it was Leah and Chelsea on the receiving end of Dr. D’s burning questions. What did we find out? Not a lot, but here’s our recap! Minus 20 right off the bat because so much has changed in the girls’ lives since this show was taped last summer that this feels like watching some other season. The real reasons for the end of Leah and Corey’s marriage: Lack of intimacy. Infidelity. The constant battle with their girls’ health problems. Beef hot dogs. Plus 30 . Seriously. This came up. You knew Corey had checked out of the marriage when he came home with beef hot dogs, not “pork and chicken.” The horror. Minus 5 . Speaking of pork(ing), Leah cheated with her ex-boyfriend a week before her wedding to Corey, AND at her Bachelorette party with the same dude! Minus 40 . Drew finally persuaded Corey to go to therapy with Leah, and they made such AMAZING progress … not! She’s engaged to some other guy! Timing fail. Minus 10 . Speaking of which, be advised, Jeremy Calvert. Just be advised. Minus 5 . Dr. Drew is crushing hardcore on Adam Lind for some reason. Plus 15 . “He’s actually changed,” Pinsky said of the abusive a-hole texter who once referred to Aubree as a “mistake.” Really? Have you watched Season 2? Minus 20 . Drew encourages them to profess their love on TV. Uhhh, Minus 5 . This is even more pointless because Chelsea is now reportedly involved in a made for MTV romance with a Caged MMA fighter, but Plus 25 since he’s not Adam. Did Chelsea get her GED? Teen Mom 2 star Leah Messer was brutally attacked by a group of three women outside a West Virginia movie theater this weekend, according to reports. The 19-year-old mother of twins, who just miscarried in her second pregnancy, is telling friends and family that the incident went down Sunday night. Leah Messer says she had just left the theater with her new fiance, Jeremy Calvert, when an older woman began following her and calling her names. Leah insists she tried to tell the woman to leave her alone when two other girls came out of nowhere and all three began wailing on her hardcore. Sources say Leah’s fiance and a security guard managed to pull the three assailants off the MTV star and got Messer the hell out of the area. A photo of her face following the brawl shows the poor blonde with a swollen cheek and redness on her neck and chest … this was a serious melee. Messer apparently did not recognize any of her attackers, but Leah’s mother has since gone to Twitter in an effort to try and identify the women. It’s equally unclear why the goons decided to go after her in the first place. Sources say Leah plans to follow up with police later today to file a report.
Singer Robin Thicke has been arrested for marijuana possession in N.Y. City. According to law enforcement, the 34-year-old was busted Friday in Manhattan near Madison Square Park. Police claim they saw him lighting up a joint in a black SUV. He was extremely cooperative, at least, and even signed a few autographs. “He wasn’t driving,” a police source said Friday. “He was sitting in the car. He was arrested and a small amount of marijuana was recovered on him.” There was another passenger in the luxury SUV at the time of the incident, but Thicke was the only person to be arrested, apparently. His arrest follows his performance Thursday night at the Nomad’s Way gala to benefit educational initiatives in Kazakhstan, hosted by Sigourney Weaver. Thicke was given a desk appearance ticket and released soon after. A rep for Robin, the son of actor Alan Thicke of Growing Pains fame, had no comment. [Photo: WENN.com]
Amber Portwood’s Teen Mom career may have just come to an end. An Indiana judge just handed down a tough sentence on the reality star, who’s been in more legal hot water than we can even summarize in this space. In court to deal with the fallout of a recent drug arrest and repeated probation violations , Amber reached a plea deal that keeps her out of the slammer. Barely. That’s about all the tough judge was willing to grant her. After completing rehab , Amber Portwood has been ordered to live in a halfway house for up to THREE YEARS and get a court approved 9-to-5 job five days a week. In case there were any confusion, Teen Mom does not qualify. The judge also banned Amber from taping anything at the halfway house, at her job or while appearing in court … so it’s not like she can film in her “free” time. Portwood is also not allowed to tape anything while hanging out with any other girls who also live at the halfway house. There’s clearly a point being made here. The judge reached out to MTV, and the network assured the court that it would not sue Amber Portwood for breaking her contract because of the sentencing. Who you gonna call? Not Bill Murray. Ghostbusters 3 is being actively pursued by writer / star Dan Aykroyd, but his co-star does not want any part of it apparently. The Ghostbusters retired ages ago, after a 1984 hit film, 1989 sequel, and two animated TV shows. But talk of another film has been rekindled of late. In a webcast with Empire magazine, Dan Aykroyd implied he and co-star Rick Moranis were actively working to bring Ghostbusters 3 to theaters. “If we can get the script to ‘Ghostbusters 3’ right, then it would definitely have Moranis as a major component,” said Aykroyd of the potential project. “None of us would want to do the movie without having him as a participant.” He also responded to questions that another star, Bill Murray, wasn’t into the idea, denying reports that Murray actually shredded a potential script. Murray also allegedly said “No one wants to pay money to see fat, old men chasing ghosts.” Replied Dan, “Bill Murray is not capable of such behavior.” “This is simply something that would not be in his nature. It’s not true. We have a deep, private personal relationship that transcends business.” “We communicate frequently and his position on the involvement in Ghostbusters 3 has been made clear and I completely respect that.” So no script shredding but no interest either. Tough to say what a Ghostbusters movie would be like without Murray. What do you think?
Their marriage lasted a mere six months, and imploded fast and hard on the Teen Mom 2 season finale , but Corey Simms will always think fondly of Leah Messer. “Corey still has feelings for Leah,” a source close to Simms says. “She is the only girl he ever wanted and he’s ever really loved.” By late last year, Leah Messer had clearly moved on, accepting an engagement ring from Jeremy Calvert. She got pregnant by Jeremy, but later had a miscarriage . For Simms, moving on hasn’t been as easy: “Corey is trying to move forward with life, just as Leah has done,” the source says. “He is trying hard to get over her.” Leah Messer , still only 19, and Corey Simms, 21, have always had a rocky relationship. The two dated for one month before they found out they were expecting. They split after the 2009 birth of twins Aliannah and Aleeah, then reunited six months later. After moving in together, Simms proposed. They wed October 17, 2010. Messer filed for divorce the following April. “Corey wishes his marriage would have worked out but he knows it’s over. He knows in his heart he did all he could do to make it work,” the Simms source says . “Part of him still wishes he and Leah could work things out, but for now he is staying busy working on his new house trying to get it ready for his girls.”
Teen Mom 2 closed out its second season with a bang last night. Someone cheated, someone broke up their relationship (and household) for good, someone came back from rehab and someone got back together with their ex. If you saw last week , and the week before that, you pretty much know who we’re referring to in each case, but that didn’t make it any less surprising to watch. Let’s get to it and break down the antics of Jenelle Evans, Leah Messer, Chelsea Houska and Kailyn Lowry our Teen Mom 2 season finale recap, THG +/- style! Jenelle Evans heads off to rehab in Malibu, California. Plus 19 . That place must be really affordable. It’s apparently run by hunks, once of which picks up Jenelle to take her to the facility. She remarks that she’s never “been so upset, anxious and depressed” in her life. Debbie Downer much? Minus 10 . We kid. She’s obviously there for a reason. Asked why she came, Jenelle explains that “Weed is not really a problem for me. The only problem with it is I’m not allowed to smoke.” Plus 15 for such an obvious, defiant stoner comment. She takes a drug test that turns up positive for THC. Minus 20 . A psychologist learns that Jenelle’s brother (who we know even less about than her baby daddy) has bipolar schizophrenia. The doctor feels Jenelle may be bipolar as well, and he treats her with anxiety meds. She’s surprisingly receptive. Plus 24 . Asked how she’d describe herself, she says “impulsive, smart and angry.” Asked what she wants to be, she says: “happy, more caring and affectionate.” Plus 13 . After two weeks, she’s allowed to use her computer and cell phone, and Kieffer immediately guilt tips her. Mercifully, Jenelle’s completely immune. Plus 17 . “Why don’t you let me focus on myself while I’m here?” she asks. “I’m gonna move on,” Kieffer replies. Hopefully he meant move on off a cliff. Plus 27 . Face Tahm with Bahhbrahh!!! Plus 19 . Their reunion is almost touching. We know Jenelle has had tons more troubles since this episode, but she really seems like she’s trying. A little. Right? Minus 10 . Kailyn Lowry can’t stop thinking about Jo, with whom “Things went further than they should have.” At least she doesn’t totally kiss/boink and tell. Plus 8 . Jo has no such filter, telling his bro: “We got Isaac to sleep … and we ended up having sex in the shower.” Plus 12 , because he is an aspiring rapper and all. Kailyn sort of confesses to Jordan: “I just started to have feelings for Jo again. It makes life so much harder. Why do I put myself in these positions.” You mean the position where you were bent over in the shower? Minus 19 . Minus 28 more for turning around the argument on Jordan, saying he can’t understand the bond a mother has with her child’s father. Girl, please. His final words: “I hope you can live with yourself.” Ouch. Plus 17 . When she confronts Jo, he bluntly says, “I’m not sitting here, trying to settle down. I’m just living my life. This is bad timing.” Ouch again, Kails. Now, the tears she did not shed for Jordan come on hard. Minus 13 . Chelsea Houska is focused on her GED, but decides she needs a break, which entails going to a car show her awful ex will probably be at! Yay? Minus 9 . Naturally, Adam is in fact there. “How long is it going to take before I can see him and not get sad?” Chelsea asked her mom. Here we go … Minus 7 . Chelsea passes her GED flying colors! “Did you bomb?” Randy asks. LOL. Plus 20 . When Adam shows up to to hold Aubree, she panics and cries. Figures. Plus 12 . He asks Chelsea if she’d like to take a drive, and it’s pretty obvious she will walk over broken glass if this loser shows a hint of interest, which is sad. Minus 39 . Later, she rides off into the sunset on the back of his black motorcycle. Neither her head nor her heart is safe at this point, and it’s disappointing. Minus 11 . Leah Messer and Corey Simms are splitting up. This was obvious when he came across the section of the paper that lists everyone who filed. Minus 20 . That’s located next to the Gun Permits column. Plus 12 . He’s shocked, or at least feigning it for the cameras, that Leah went through with this. He takes off his ring slowly, despondently for effect. Plus 18 . As Leah and her mom discuss Leah’s future, her mom decides it’s a good time to take out the wedding photos that finally came in the mail! Uhh, Minus 7 . When Leah heads to the lawyer’s office to drop Aleeah and Ali off with Corey, she breaks down. The first night of loneliness is more than she can take. “This is a marriage that’s led to a divorce,” she says. DEEP. Minus 10 . There’s nothing positive about their home being physically wrecked, or at least divided up and moved out. They both cry a lot. It’s depressing. Minus 25 . EPISODE TOTAL: +5! SEASON TOTAL: +48!
Maligned Teen Mom all-star Amber Portwood has copped a plea in her probation case and will not be sentenced to five years in prison … at least not yet. In jail since before Christmas awaiting trial for felony drug possession case, Ambs cut a deal Friday to avoid spending the foreseeable future behind bars. Portwood pleaded not guilty to one count of possession of a controlled substance – a medication she had no prescription for – and one probation violation. In return, she remains on probation and, if she hopes to remain free, must complete the Madison County (Ind.) Drug Court program. Or else. Her next hearing is scheduled for February 6. Amber Portwood is on probation following her domestic violence case involving baby daddy Gary Shirley. She missed a probation hearing last month, a big no-no. When police showed up at her house to check on her, they found the pills in her bag … and she was unable to produce a prescription. Even bigger no-no. While she’s been in jail and making officials worried that she will shiv someone , Portwood’s now-former landlord had sued to have her evicted. A judge said she is already in the process of moving out, so the lawsuit is not necessary. A separate hearing on that issue is set for March 14. [Photo: Fame Pictures]
Teen Mom 2 star Jenelle Evans was arrested in North Carolina for making “harassing phone calls” and “communicating threats” to former roommate Hannah Inman. The 20-year-old was booked into the Brunswick County Jail and later released after posting $1,000 bond. She later tweeted, “I’m free as a biiirrrrddddd :D.” Yay. The arrest could mean serious trouble for Jenelle Evans , who’s still on probation for pounding the crap out of Britany Truett in a fight last summer. Her attorney, Dustin Sullivan, said “Jenelle was charged with those charges today after she had taken charges out on James Duffy several days ago.” “I feel these charges against Jenelle are absurd and retaliatory in nature.” Good to know. Just don’t compare her to another Teen Mom train wreck. A “fan” tweeted, “Jenelle makes Amber Portwood look like mother of the year.” To which Jenelle intelligently responded back, “what?!!! LMFAO Amber Portwood is in jail for FELONY charges dumbass, oh I guess she’s better…s–t.” She’s not wrong. And speaking of social media, the reality star was kind enough to give her side of the story , via Facebook, after the got out. Here goes: “Yes I was arrested again. It’s okay, Hannah’s just calling her own bluffs. How can I harass u with phone calls when u clearly don’t own a cell phone?” “I’ve dropped this argument weeks ago. Haven’t been paying attention to u but u have the balls to tell yr little “fans”.. ‘imma f—king kill that bitch’ ?!” “How’s threatening who here ?! Lmao she’s mad cuz I took out charges first on Duffy for cyber stalking. She claims that she move out becuz I said I would eventually kill her.” “Clearly her old phone has texts that states ‘look I’m moving out to yr house Duffy so we can move to new jersey so I can get famous for my singing’.” “Yes u set me up and yes u will go down. CAN’T WAIT FOR COURT!” “Not to mention I REALLY dot give a f—k about Hannah or Duffy when I’ve been in and out of the hospital for 3 weeks now with mono/strep and have to get my tonsils out.” “Yeah as I’m about to walk out the door to go to the hospital the cop is at my door and I got down on my knees and poured out tears. This week on Teen Mom 2 … not a lot happened. At all. Pure filler. Is baby Ali going to be alright? Where is Kieffer? Can Jenelle act like a civilized human being? Will Chelsea’s baby daddy man up?
