Appearing on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon this week, Bieber said he was reduced to tears during the VMAs because the performance was “so overwhelming for me … I just wasn’t expecting them to support me in the way they did.” He even acknowledged having been booed on stage at the Juno Awards . ‘Training Day’ Gets Turned Into Television Series Looks like “ Uncle Denzel ” might be back on the come up. A new series is being created based on the 2001 crime thriller, and it’s slated for network television. Via Variety : CBS is producing a pilot based on the 2001 movie “Training Day,” in which Denzel Washington and Ethan Hawke starred, Variety has learned. The television adaptation is set in the LAPD of 2015, with the series picking up 15 years after the events of the Warner Bros. Pictures and Village Roadshow Pictures film. The original “Training Day” movie director Antoine Fuqua is behind the television series, attached as director and exec producer. Fuqua is teaming with Jerry Bruckheimer who will exec produce, alongside Jonathan Littman (“CSI” franchise, “The Amazing Race”). Will Beall (“Gangster Squad,” “Castle”), a former LAPD detective, will pen the pilot, also serving as an exec producer. Hmmm…Training Day seems a bit too gritty to end up on CBS. But maybe they’ll surprise us! Will you be watching???

YouTube Web Series Makes History As First Full Black Cast UK Television Comedy What started as a YouTube web series back in 2012 has now evolved into a history making comedy in the UK. ‘ Venus Vs Mars ‘ debuted April 9th as the first all black cast show on the hit TV network Sky Living. Set in London, the warm and witty comedy drama follows dynamic single girl Venus in her catastrophically hilarious quest to find true love. The 10-part comedy drama stems from critically acclaimed playwright Baby Isako (Love is a Losing Game, Bag Ladies). The show was also directed and produced by black production team called Purple Geko. Check out the preview below. The show details Venus’ (played by Letitia Hector) run-ins with the ex, old flames, new crushes and double dates and comes on immediately after Scandal. The college has added “Game of Thrones, Television and Medieval History” to its curriculum, describing the course as some kind of actual history lesson. Martin, are a terrific representation of the Middle Ages. “It represents aspects of the Middle Ages much more realistically than other media depictions that purport to be more accurate,” she said, adding: “It stands out because it comments on the human condition in a way that seems real to people. It’s a really good example of a piece of modern culture that draws on how the past impacts the present.” Game of Thrones Season 5 premiered last Sunday night on HBO to record ratings; nearly 8 million people tuned in to see Mance Rayder get burned at the stake.
