Audrina Patridge’s Little Booty In Short Shorts

Here’s Audrina Patridge showing off her hot little Dancing With The Stars body in a sweet pair of short shorts and an even sweeter little tank top. I can’t wait to see those fake boobies bouncing around my television. I’m still holding auditions for the latest season of Dancing With The Celebrity Blogger , there’s lots of room left Audrina, so far I’ve got a couple of crack whores and a midget who may or may not have defecated in my laundry basket. I knew I shouldn’t have trusted that mini douche. more pictures of Audrina Patridge here

NBC Has No Idea Which Day Community Airs

It was assumed that NBC waited so long to renew Community last year because of the less than stellar ratings — even disposed to mid-season, Parks & Recreation was picked up before Community . If the press screener for the season premiere of the comedy is any indication, however, perhaps the network executives waited so long to bring Community back for season two because they couldn’t find it on their television schedules. Click ahead for the snafu of the day.

Lady Gaga, Pink Usher In New Age Of Pop Spectacle

‘We have returned to the age of P.T. Barnum,’ one expert says. By Gil Kaufman Lady Gaga Photo: Ethan Miller/ Getty Images Popular music has always been about putting on a show. From the psychedelic fantasias of 1970s rockers Pink Floyd to Madonna’s many Vegas-like tours, KISS’ relentless pyro attack , the boy-band glitter parades of the early 2000s and the over-the-top plans for Michael Jackson’s never-mounted This is It farewell shows , major artists have always tried to pony up a big show for their fans. And now, thanks to a new generation of visually acute music stars, we could be living in a new age of the great pop spectacle. From Muse’s massive stadium light show to Lady Gaga’s Monster Ball outing and Pink’s Cirque du Soleil-like Funhouse Tour , artists are going above and beyond in an effort to give their fans a never-ending, eye-popping extravaganza. “We were missing a real element of showmanship [in music] for a while, but you see it in Gaga and her elaborate costuming and in artists like Pink,” music-industry veteran Jeff Rabhan, chair of recorded music and an arts professor at NYU’s Clive Davis Department of Recorded Music, said of Gaga’s now-legendary meat dress and string of outrageous getups at Sunday’s MTV Video Music Awards . He also pointed to the positive reaction for Kanye West’s visually stunning VMA performance as further proof that audiences were thirsting for a return of the pop spectacle. “It’s been lacking, and that’s the reason that people are drawn to it,” he said of the chatter that inevitably follows one of West’s unique set pieces. In fact, the rapper has more in store with his 40-minute film-noir project in support of the “Runaway” single , which is not surprising coming from an artist who has always been very tuned in to the importance of having great visuals to accompany his music. In rock music, bands like U2 have always understood the importance of giving their fans something unique, from their PopMart Tour in the late 1990s to their most recent 360 Tour , which included the largest, most elaborate stage ever built for a live show. More contemporary acts like Britney Spears have also done their part, hitting the road for her Circus extravaganza with a stage full of magicians, tumblers and glitzy costumes. On a smaller scale, “American Idol” runner-up Adam Lambert has made glitter bombs and gender-bending videos and performances part of his pop calling card, earning him the distinction of outpacing his onetime rival, season-eight winner Kris Allen, in album sales and concert tickets. What sets some of today’s stars apart, according to Robert J. Thompson, director of the Bleier Center for Television and Popular Culture at Syracuse University, is the immersive way they live their public lives. “Artists like Gaga and Ke$ha are always in costume,” Thompson said of the outrageous makeup and outfits those pop stars, and other such as Katy Perry, model every time they go out in public. “We have returned to the age of P.T. Barnum, no question about it. But I suppose these things go in cycles, a case you can make if you look at the biggest acts of all time, which were all spectacle-oriented: Madonna, Michael Jackson.” Thompson said outrageous characters have always played a part in popular music, but with the dawn of the video age in 1981, artists had a new medium to explore with flashy videos that added another layer to their radio hits. Then, with the rise of the Internet, the decade-long contraction of the music industry and a renewed emphasis on singles-oriented artists over the past nine years thanks to iTunes, the ability to reach a mass audience just through radio and video began to disappear. “We went into a period where music was being consumed not with a visual spectacular or with the visual of a big album cover, but as an

Joy Behar: Christine O’Donnell ‘Needs to Watch Some Porn and Get Some Tips’

On Wednesday’s Joy Behar Show on HLN, after playing a clip of Delaware Republican Senate nominee Christine O’Donnell when she spoke out against masturbation on MTV in 1996, host Behar cracked that, “She needs to watch some porn and get some tips, is what she needs,” as Republican strategist Leslie Sanchez tried to argue that O’Donnell’s religious beliefs should not be held against the Delaware Republican. Sanchez had to argue against two liberals in the form of host Behar and fellow guest Roy Sekoff of the Huffington Post. Below is a transcript of the relevant portion of the segment from the Wednesday, September 15, Joy Behar Show on HLN: JOY BEHAR: That’s her platform? Look, mom, no hands. That was on Rachel Maddow’s show last night. Go ahead, Roy. LESLIE SANCHEZ, REPUBLICAN STRATEGIST: You know, I’m surprised talking about the bad choice there, and that was in the spiral perm. I did that in the ‘90s. It was just really the wrong way to go. ROY SEKOFF, HUFFINGTON POST: I mean, this was obviously, this was not a good day for masturbators, Joy. Clearly, this is, you know, the biggest opponent to masturbation since your seventh grade science teacher told you about the, you know, the hair on your palms. Not a good day for the self-pleasurer. SANCHEZ: Let’s put it in perspective. I don’t think it’s fair, I think it’s really sad to be criticizing someone for their religious beliefs. Rachel Maddow may not agree with that. SEKOFF: No, no, no, that’s not, Leslie, Leslie- SANCHEZ: She created an abstinence video for MTV for youth. I mean- BEHAR: She needs to watch some porn and get some tips, is what she needs.

Former Mr. Sharon Stone Obama ‘Crack’ Humor Attempt Backfires

As your humble correspondent has learned, writing humor can be very dangerous since it can easily backfire. Such was the case with a story written by the former Mr. Sharon Stone aka Phil Bronstein, Editor-at-Large of the San Francisco Chronicle. Just from the very title of his piece, “Should Obama have smoked crack?” you just know Bronstein was going to run into trouble. Some readers didn’t know he was trying to be funny and were outraged. Other readers realized he was attempting to write humor but felt it was really lame. So here is Bronstein’s backfiring humor attempt: …His druggie past is not helping him shape the overarching grit of his public character nearly as much as it could be. Weed and cocaine? Who’s going to be impressed with that, when his hugely successful contemporaries like Oprah Winfrey have the truly dark and evil specter of crack in their background? … He needed some rock in that pipe of his youth. If he’d had a crack addiction then instead of an effete taste for powdered cocaine and pot, people might be a little more respectful of him now. It would have been an even tougher journey to the top. The big dog bite needs teeth sharpened by real adversity. Okay, what’s really funny here is not Bronstein’s humor which is lame and heavy-handed but the way it has backfired so embarrasingly. However, Bronstein’s amateur attempt at humor gets worse. Much worse: Crack could have helped put some color back into the Obama narrative. It is a drug that disproportionately haunts African American communities. Think coke and its Paris Hilton or some no-brainers on The Hills. Crack is the gutter drug. As you can imagine, many of his readers probably wish that L.A. Zoo Komodo Dragon had bitten another part of Bronstein’s body than just his foot. Some sample comments: Another useless editorial from sfgate’s do nothing editor. Don’t you have some copy to read?   This is probably the most vapid observation of Obama’s past I have ever read. I’ll never get back the 2 minutes it took to read this. Bronstein should resign. This is a new low for the Chronicle and embarrassment to San Franciscans. Bronstein should have taken heed of Tip #9 of Hot Tips For Op-Ed Writers : 9. Avoid op-ed backfire. Humor is hard to project in an opinion piece. Satire can bite the writer. P.J. Gladnick wrote a tongue-in-cheek satire about harmful cartoons for the Los Angeles Herald Examiner. He showed Snow White exploiting short people, Scrooge McDuck engaging in the capitalistic duck-slave trade, the Three Little Pigs abusing the Big Bad Wolf, and more. That article made him the hero of the National Coalition on Television Violence, who used it to justify censoring Saturday morning TV.  And, Phil, if you really want to write a truly funny piece, then recount for us how you managed to stay married to supreme egomaniac Sharon Stone for six whole years.
