Naturally no one did, so the airline told Allison Preiss that she had to forfeit her seat, since she had paid the lowest fare. Pushing her luck, Preiss said she’d prefer a check which they were about to write (for $650), then another agent offered her a seat on the next flight out and a $10,000 voucher. The offer is in accordance with the American Airline’s new cap for passengers who offer up their seats.

She put every other customer service offer to shame by scoring a $10,000 voucher from United Airlines. Yep, $10,000. She’s a legend. But as you might be able to predict, Allison Preiss said that getting the airline to cough up the dough was no easy feat. Preiss was on her way from Washington Dulles International Airport to Austin, Texas on Thursday morning when the airline staff starting asking passengers to volunteer their seats on the overbooked flight. As per usual, nobody volunteered, and when that happened, the airline told Preiss that she had to forfeit her seat, because she had paid the lowest fare. Obviously, Allison was pretty annoyed, so she took to Twitter to vent about the incident. According to the Harold-Democrat a 19-year-old girl from Denison, Texas is facing 32 years in prison for lying about being kidnapped and raped by 3 Black men. On March 8, Breana Rachelle Harmon claimed she was walking to her car when 3 Black men grabbed her, threw her into an SUV and drove her to the woods where they raped her. She claims she was allowed to leave after the sexual assault and she ran to a local church where the police were contacted. Upon being examined, a nurse stated that there were no physical signs of rape and her professional instincts told her that the assault was a lie. Upon further investigation, police found several holes in her story, one of which was the knife wounds she allegedly suffered didn’t match the damage done to her clothing. On March 21, this lyin’ azz broad admitted to filing a false police report. When asked at the church if she was raped, she shook her head “yes” because she didn’t want her mother to by mad at her for cutting herself, something she had been known to do previously. No one was arrested for Breanna’s tall tale, but Denison Police Chief Jay Burch pushed forward with charges against Breanna and said this about her conduct: “Breana Harmon-Talbott’s hoax was also insulting to our community and especially offensive to the African-American community due to her description of the so-called suspects in her hoax,” Burch said, previously. “The anger and hurt caused from such a hoax are difficult and all so unnecessary.” Rot, b!t¢h.

Chip Gaines and Joanna Gaines are pretty much the definition of relationship goals, right? Which is why Chip’s Valentine’s Day message has left some fans scratching their heads. Usually, Valentine’s Day is all about romanticizing love and relationships as much as possible. Instead, Chip seems to be focusing on the imperfections. Is he on to something here? Considering the way that Chip and Joanna Gaines have shot down marital trouble rumors in the past, you’d think that they either have a picture-perfect marriage … … Or that they, at least, want everyone to believe that everything is all smiles and rainbows or whatever. A lot of fans grew suspicious when they heard that Fixer Upper was ending after 5 seasons. It’s a hugely popular series, and most networks and stars keep a show going until it stops being profitable. To borrow the words of Bo Burnham, most television shows don’t stop beating the proverbial dead horse until it stops spitting out money. But you know what? A couple of married stars quitting a show doesn’t have to be a marital spat. Maybe they made “enough” money — if there is such a thing. And so today, again, I choose my beautiful bride.” He clearly takes his marriage voews seriously. “To have and to hold.. till death do us part. # HappyValentinesDay sweet girl!” Of course, Chip and Joanna are expecting their fifth child . The Gaineses are already parents to Drake, age 12, Ella, age 11, Duke, age 9, and Emmie Kay, age 7. Preparing for a fifth child is a lot, but the couple can certainly balance that while continuing to grow their home improvement empire. They’ve even made time for adorable little gags, like the way that they showed off their baby bump . It’s always a sign of a healthy couple when they can joke and have fun while celebrating good news. Cute! So, in light of their relationship, we think that Chip and Joanna are being realistic about the struggles of being a couple who’s been married for a long time. You’re going to disagree. You’re going to get on each other’s nerves. You’re going to catch yourself imagining a different life. All of that will happen whether or not you argue. It’s part of being a person. What matters, and this is really what Chip’s tweet is getting at, is how committed you are to your bond with your partner. Or partner s , for that matter. What’s more, the fact that Chip is openly discussing the imperfections in his and all marriages is a healthy sign. That means that he feels so secure in his relationship that he doesn’t hesitate to mention that not everything’s picture perfect. In a Valentine’s Day message, no less. (Photo by Derek Davis/Staff photographer) Dirty Raw Oysters Kill Texas Woman Some cautionary health related news is coming out of the south and seafood lovers might want to take heed. A woman from Texas named Jeannette LeBlanc ate raw oysters while on a trip to Louisiana with friends and family in September, reports news station KLFY-TV and the dinner ultimately cost her life. LeBlanc reportedly developed a rash and had trouble breathing for over 36 hours after consuming the Oysters. After spending 21 days in the hospital fighting the infection, caused by vibriosis,she died on Oct. 21. Now her wife, Vicki Bergquist, is raising awareness about the cause of her death. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention states most people who become infected with vibriosis do so by eating raw or undercooked shellfish, particularly oysters. It is also possible to contract vibriosis by exposing an open wound to brackish or salt water.
