Fabolous Addresses Relationship With Emily B In New Song Brooklyn-born rapper Fabolous might just be through keeping quiet about his side of the story when it comes to his relationship with his on-again-off-again boo-thang Emily B. The Street Fam hip-hop head recently released a new mixtape over the Thanksgiving holiday, and he lays it all on the track in a song titled “Want Me Back” in which he paints a vivid picture of the rollercoaster relationship between himself and woman his former LHHNY reality chick. Several lines from the song stand out, including this one: “So I fight for us, long as there was reason 2. You wanted to give up on us, long as there was season 2.” And this one: “Now if I was guarding Derrick Rose, I would be more understanding but, you aint Derek Rose. You was my number 1 but uh, you aint Derrick Rose.” The troubled twosome were just spotted poppin bottles for Fab’s birthday a few weeks ago, so maybe he was just letting off some steam? Take a listen to the entire song below, which includes Joe Budden going at Tahiry and Teyana Taylor singing the hook, and see what you think. YouTube
What would he do if he was on BET? Mitt Romney appeared on Univision Wednesday, but something was a little different about his appearance, his skin tone. Looking back at some of photos logging his every moment on the campaign trail, the Republican presidential nominee is usually not so shockingly tan. While his orangey-brown appearance on Univision could have been the result of bad lighting or a makeup mishap, left-wing blog the Democratic Underground concluded that Romney “dyed his face brown for his Univision interview.” The claim is not completely out of the ballpark. After all, as Gawker points out, Romney did say “it would be helpful to be Latino,” in a video secretly recorded at a campaign fundraiser earlier this year. Appearing at a campaign fundraiser in Atlanta, Georgia, before his Univision interview, Romney showed a bit more color, but nowhere near the amount of bronze as seen on stage at the 6:30 p.m. ET filming. If Romney did indeed alter his skin tone, it was likely done in the past few days. Three days earlier, on Sunday, Sept. 16, Romney appeared much paler when he landed in Missouri. We’re just happy this fool didn’t wear blackface for the NAACP speech. By our estimate Romney looks “47%” more tanner and we’re not digging the convenient skin change. Do you think he’s just a victim of a bad makeup artist or a calculated (and horrible) plan to appeal to Latino voters? Source AP

Ibn Jasper, the man responsible for Kanye’s fresh was in the building. Pusha T chilled in the DJ booth and gave club goers a mini concert, spitting old and new lyrics. We found Teyana Taylor sporting her infamous tomboy, fly girl swag as she danced, sipped shots, and chatted with Karrueche Tran and friends. Teairra Mari sipped Hennessy’s Watermelon sour shots all night. As always, the good times and great shots were provided by Hennessy and Jerry Lorenzo. Superhead ain’t got nothin’ on her! SMH… John Edwards’ baby mama is about to get that paper! Rielle Hunter, the mother of John Edwards’ love child and the woman with whom he conducted a scandalous affair, is about to publish a memoir, “What Really Happened: John Edwards, Our Daughter and Me.” (Photos: AP) The news was announced on Friday, one day after Edwards was found not guilty of funneling about $1 million from his 2008 presidential run to Hunter through Andrew Young, a loyal campaign staffer. The jury deadlocked on five other counts, and the judge ruled a mistrial. According to People magazine, which first reported on the book, Hunter’s memoir will be published in on June 26 by the boutique press BenBella Books. Said the company’s president, Glenn Yeffeth, “We are delighted to publish Rielle Hunter’s memoir. A lot has been said. But no one has heard the truth of what really happened until now.” Readers will surely be curious about how the 80′s party girl who is featured in the novels of literary Brat Packers Jay McInerney and Bret Easton Ellis tells her own tale. That tale is a long one. Hunter was born Lisa Jo Druck to a Florida lawyer who ran a horse farm. After dropping out of college in the mid-80′s, she moved to New York, where she dated McInerney. She would appear in his 1988 novel “Story of My Life,” where Alison Poole, the character obviously based on Hunter, is portrayed as “an ostensibly jaded, yayo-addled, sexually voracious 20-year-old.” Poole also appears in Ellis’ “American Psycho” and “Glamorama.” Later, Druck moved to Los Angeles, where she married the lawyer “Kip” Hunter III in 1991, changing her name to Rielle Hunter three years later. She divorced her husband in 2000. In the intervening years, she became involved in Internet videography, rising to some prominence in the field. Supposedly, she met Edwards, then a rising star in the Democratic Party, at the Regency Hotel in New York in 2006, pitching herself as a potential campaign videographer. She would become that and much, much more. rielle-hunter-300_0.jpegThe rest of it is most sordid history, and most of it already relayed in “Game Change,” the 2010 book about the 2008 presidential campaign by John Heilemann and Mark Halperin. In it, they describe Edwards’ increasing and increasingly irrational infatuation with the loopy Hunter, even as his wife Elizabeth is dying of breast cancer. It fell to the National Enquirer to first reveal their affair in 2007, leading to near-endless denials from Edwards, despite mounting evidence against him. Edwards made incomplete admissions starting in the summer of 2008, finally fessing up to fathering a child with Hunter in 2010. His wife died shortly thereafter. One of the juicer moments in Hunter’s book will probably be her response to the revelation that Edwards called her a “crazy slut” to Young in 2007 after being informed that he was the father of the child now known as Quinn. It is not clear how much the book will touch on her intriguing pre-Edwards years. SMH at this broad sloring out her story. This ish is about to be a bestseller. Will you buy it??? Source

‘I could get whatever I want,’ 21-year-old Harlem rapper tells MTV News about her new record deal with Kanye West. By Nadeska Alexis Teyana Taylor Photo: MTV News Teyana Taylor collaborated with Kanye West on his 2010 album, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy , and now, as an official member of the G.O.O.D. Music team, the Harlem rapper confirms that she will also appear on the upcoming G.O.O.D. compilation album. When MTV News caught up with Taylor after news broke that she’d officially been added to the Def Jam roster, she said the deal was finalized in April. “I had been actually working with the whole G.O.O.D. Music family for quite a while,” she explained. “Around the time we did the ‘Dark Fantasy’ song, I was still in my contract with Star Trak/Interscope Records, and I asked for release because I wanted to find myself as an artist. I had options to go to different labels, but I felt like G.O.O.D. Music was where I wanted to be, where I fit in. “This is the second go ’round for me, and hopefully, the second time’s the charm,” the 21-year-old continued. “I signed to Star Trak with Pharrell when I was 15, and now I’m at a new chapter in my life where I’m signed to G.O.O.D. Music, and I’m blessed and happy to be part of the team.” The rapper, singer, writer and actress said the new deal will definitely improve her worth ethic. “Being signed to G.O.O.D. Music/Def Jam has opened more doors now that I finally have a team behind me that can push me to work harder,” she said. Taylor has already recorded her tracks for the upcoming G.O.O.D. Music album, another humbling experience. “Recording ‘Dark Fantasy’ and recording the G.O.O.D. Music album was both crazy,” she shared. “When we did ‘Dark Fantasy,’ the album had to be turned in in three hours, so that was a song that we made happen so last minute, which happened to be the first song on the album, so that was very exciting. “The same amount of work, same amount of pressure, same amount of heart, intensity, passion [went into recording the G.O.O.D. Music LP]. It was a great experience to be able to work with someone like Kanye and with Pusha T, Big Sean, Kid Cudi, Common and the whole G.O.O.D. family. When it’s time to do something, we all come together, we make it work, everyone’s focused.” Taylor recorded with West in both Los Angeles and New York, laughing off rumors that the crew ticked off the Royal Family while recording in London . Right now, Taylor is simply enjoying her new family circle. “I am the princess of G.O.O.D. Music, the first lady of G.O.O.D. Music, the baby of G.O.O.D. Music,” she said, laughing. “I’m kinda the spoiled brat right now. I could get whatever I want.” Related Artists Teyana Taylor Kanye West
The 21-year-old Harlem rapper and singer is officially added to the roster at West’s Def Jam imprint. By Nadeska Alexis Teyana Taylor Photo: Amanda Edwards/Getty Images Well, this was a long time coming. Kanye West has been closely affiliated with Harlem rapper/singer Teyana Taylor for some time now, but this week it was confirmed that Taylor has officially been signed to ‘Ye’s G.O.O.D. Music label. The 21-year-old singer-songwriter and actress, who worked with West on his fifth album, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, will reveal details about her first G.O.O.D. Music LP and forthcoming singles in the next few weeks. In April she debuted a new mixtape, The Misunderstanding of Teyana Taylor, which pays tribute to Lauryn Hill and her other early influences, including Mary J. Blige and Janet Jackson. Taylor got her start in the industry when she was signed to Pharrell William’s Star Trak record label at the age of 15, and some fans might remember her over-the-top episode of MTV’s “My Super Sweet 16.” Her debut album, 2008’s From a Planet Called Harlem, featured the breakout single “Google Me,” and Taylor has since earned plenty of co-writing credits on recent songs like Nicki Minaj’s “Right By My Side,” which appeared on Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded. Taylor worked closely with West on MBDTF ‘s “Hell of a Life,” “Runaway,” “Dark Fantasy” and the collaboration track “Christmas in Harlem,” which also featured G.O.O.D. Music’s CyHi the Prynce. Her recent onscreen endeavors include roles in 2010’s “Stomp the Yard 2” and Tyler Perry’s 2011 film “Madea’s Big Happy Family.” Last summer, the 21-year-old also grabbed attention with her remix of Drake’s hit single “Marvin’s Room.” “Her Room” found Taylor sampling lyrics from Lauryn Hill’s “X Factor,” as she came to terms with a cheating ex. The G.O.O.D. news just keeps coming from Kanye West’s camp. Last month the super producer/rapper signed veteran Q-Tip to his Def Jam imprint. What do you think of Kanye of signing Teyana to G.O.O.D.
