Katy Perry has pulled out of a trip Japan at the last minute after doctors told her to rest her vocal chords for a week. The singer was expected to headline at the Summer Sonic festival in Tokyo on Friday and in Osaka on Sunday. Perry’s cancellation comes just 24 hours after she performed as No Doubt’s opening act.

Now that Jude Law has announced that he is going to become a father for the fourth time, and the name of the mother-to-be, Samantha Burke, has been revealed, the 24-year-old model’s lawyers say she will be having a girl named Sophia. ” Samantha Burke , her mom, and her family can affirm that Jude has been responsive and supportive throughout the relationship and pregnancy, and know that he will remain so as a father once Baby Sophia is born,” says the statement. “Jude and Samantha remain committed to the health and well-being of this child, and appreciate your honoring her privacy during this special time.” Lawyers for Burke, who met Jude Law when he was filming Sherlock Holmes in New York City last year, confirm she won’t be granting any interviews: “This remains a private matter between Jude Law and Samantha Burke.” Meanwhile, reports say Jude’s baby mama is happy to raise the child without the actor around, but, then again, it’s not like he was ever there in the first place.
