Hilary Duff’s hiatus is over. The singer-actress is back and “Chasing the Sun” in a new music video, which features the 26-year-old sizzling in a bikini: Hilary Duff – Chasing The Sun Duff croons in the upbeat pop track, “I’m chasing the sun / Won’t miss out on the fun / Gotta get it while our hearts are young / I’m chasing the sun.” The video begins in a corporate office (BOOO!) where Duff plays a maligned employee (she’s an actress, after all) slaving away at the daily grind. Fortunately, she can daydream … about spending her hours outside. As her thoughts wander, we’re treated to images of Hilary lying in the sand in a bikini and getting a sunscreen rubdown from a hot male companion. Avert your eyes, Mike Comrie . The hunky heartthrob recently sat down with the W all Street Journal to discuss life after Twilight and revealed some interesting tidbits about his personal grooming habits. The new face of Dior Homme Eau fragrance explained that he’s come along way in terms of hygiene and taking care of himself. “I was a brush-your-teeth-and-have-a-shower kind of guy. I can’t tell if it’s because of my association with Dior or because I’m older, but I’ve started moisturizing,” the 26-year-old divulged. He added, very importantly: “I’ve started moisturizing. I t’s been a quite profound chance in my life.” We’re not complaining. As for R. Patz’s silver screen career? You can check him out in David Cronenberg’s upcoming dark comedy Maps to the Stars . Overall, 2013 was an interesting year for the British actor. And a trying one. He split with longtime love and co-star Kristen Stewart in May after reconciling following Stewart’s fling with married director Rupert Sanders. What’s on the horizon for Pattinson in 2014? He simply says: “This year, I’m trying to see what my niche is.” Apparently “looking really hot” doesn’t quality.
Rob Kardashian is finally embracing being a big ol’ loser… of pounds! Via US Weekly reports : Keeping up with Rob Kardashian’s weight loss! After starting a diet and exercise plan in February, the 26-year-old reality star showed off his slimmer bod at the unveiling of his Arthur George by Rob Kardashian sock line at Neiman Marcus in Las Vegas on Saturday, May 25. “I still have to lose like 40 to 50 pounds believe it or not,” Kardashian told Us Weekly at the event. “Six months I should be there.” In March, Kardashian told Us he weighed 235 pounds and recruited friends to join him in twice-daily workouts. On Saturday, he admitted, “That got [to be] too much . . . we do that, but I’m kind of doing my own thing with Lamar [Odom]‘s trainer. He’s on salary since he was 19 years old, so he works for us. I’ve been spending time with him.” To help with his weight loss, Kardashian also said he’s cutting back on drinking. “I’m not really drinking out here in Vegas — I’ve been here since Wednesday and I leave Monday — that’s way too long,” the sock designer said. “But I’m trying to get in a healthy direction.” In a February episode of Kourtney & Kim Take Miami, Kardashian blamed his weight gain on his break up with Rita Ora. “It’s crazy how this whole year, my whole relationship was only negative,” he said. “All I did was gain f–king 40 pounds and lose so much money.” Wait, why are we celebrating Rob’s weight loss when he only gained 40lbs to begin with and still has 50 to lose? Meet Richard Vody. Rich here likes to break into people’s homes and bite their ears off. According to NBC News: A 28-year-old man is charged with breaking into a suburban Chicago home and biting off another man’s ear during an argument on Friday, according to the Cook County Sheriff’s Office. Richard Vody, of Justice, Ill., forced his way into the victim’s home early Friday and, during a heated dispute, leaned in and bit off half of the 26-year-old’s right ear, according to police. Authorities said the victim’s girlfriend also lived in the home and all three knew each other. Firefighters responded to the scene and took the victim to an area hospital for treatment. With the help of Chicago police canine units, the missing part of the man’s ear was found Saturday near the home. Vody is charged with home invasion, aggravated battery and domestic battery, according to a press release from the Cook County Sheriff’s Office. He is currently out on $250,000 bond, and is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday. SMH at how happy he looks in his mug shot. Drugs are bad, m’kay, Richie.
Avi Snow is breaking his silence on girlfriend Lindsay Lohan. “She’s really awesome, and she’s a lot of fun,” the City of the Sun guitarist tells E! News in his first comments since the duo were linked as a couple. “I would definitely call her one of our biggest supporters .” Asked if he is indeed dating Lindsay Lohan , he didn’t say. Avi Snow didn’t deny it though, it’s worth noting. The band, who played last week at 41 Ocean in Santa Monica, Calif., took the stage just after midnight. LiLo was there singing, dancing and having a blast. Last week, sources began to speculate that the 26-year-old actress was seeing Snow, revealing that the duo have actually been together for a few weeks . The musician was reportedly on the private jet that flew LiLo from New York to Los Angeles in order to cut a plea deal for lying to cops and reckless driving. Sounds like he’s well-versed in her pastimes, too.
Lindsay Lohan’s first stop after accepting a plea deal in which she admitted lying to police and agreed to go to an in-patient rehab facility for 90 days? Nightclubs. Obviously. LiLo’s SUV pulled up to the AV Club, where she was spotted covering her face with a blanket as celebrity gossip photographers clamored to see her. At that point, the 26-year-old abruptly bounced. It’s unclear why, but she left . Never went in. The decision to skip the club was definitely the best move, but the fact that she was even there makes you question what the heck she’s thinking. Going for a last hurrah? Not a good sign that she’s taking this at all seriously, even as she dodged a bullet and avoided jail by the skin of her teeth. While rehab sure beats jail , LiLo clearly has no use for it, in her own mind. She is adamant she doesn’t even have a problem … amazing, but true. Lohan will soon enter 90 days of lockdown rehab, which means she’s not going anywhere unless there’s a death in the family member or a medical necessity. Amanda Bynes, threatened with eviction by her landlord for breaking rules and being disrespectful toward others, packed up and left her NYC apartment last week. According to reports, Bynes got a letter from management in January explaining that her lease would be terminated (presumably February 1, when she left). Reason: She’s a pothead. Management made the decision to evict following complaints of marijuana smoke emanating from Amanda Bynes ‘ apartment “morning, noon and night.” Sources say she was also seen smoking weed in the halls. It’s a non-smoking building, like most New York structures. She’s kind of a big a fan of the herb, it would appear. In any case, TMZ reports that Amanda wasn’t going to wait and challenge management’s decision and decided to simply find somewhere else to live. It’s unclear where the 26-year-old plans to go next, but departing this spot is a done deal. Trucks were seen packing up and moving her stuff on outta there. Anybody need a roommate?
Lindsay Lohan is not interested in any plea bargain. She’s innocent, people! Can’t you understand that? According to TMZ, despite the fact that the prosecutor in her car crash case was willing to deal and allow her to avoid jail time, she won’t plea bargain , period. The latest chapter in this bizarre saga unfolded last week, when her attorney Shawn Holley was on her way to court to negotiate a deal on her behalf. Holley was then fired unceremoniously by Lohan. Prosecutors were apparently willing to let LiLo plead no contest and agree to six months of “lockdown rehab” (read: no jail time), but the star is not interested. Holley entered a plea of not guilty and a trial date was set for this winter. Whoever reps Lindsay now (tough to keep track) could presumably still take the deal. Lohan just isn’t having it, though. As usual, the 26-year-old actress doesn’t think she did anything wrong and refuses to plead guilty or no contest to a crime she says she didn’t commit. She told cops she was a passenger in the Porsche she crashed when there’s overwhelming evidence she was driving, so proving her innocence could be tough. If Lindsay is found guilty, she could face up to 19 months in jail. That’s not including the probation violation she faces, which could subject her to eight months in jail . There’s still a possibility that she will come to her senses before trial, and/or that she will pull a legal rabbit out of her hat and beat the rap once again. Appearing alongside husband Mark Kelly, Gabrielle Giffords was a guest today on Good Morning America , touching on a subject she sadly knows all too well: Gun violence. The ex-Congresswoman – who survived a shooting in Arizona two years ago – visited Newtown, Connecticut last week and had one word for Diane Sawyer when the topic turned to these bloody massacres: Enough . “After the shooting in Tucson, there was talk about addressing some of these issues, [and] again after Aurora,” Kelly said. “I’m hopeful that this time is different, and I think it is. Twenty first-graders’ being murdered in their classrooms is a very personal thing for everybody.” To that end, Giffords and Kelly have started Americans for Responsible Solutions. It’s an initiative described on its official site as being meant to “encourage elected officials to stand up for solutions to prevent gun violence and protect responsible gun ownership by communicating directly with the constituents that elect them.” On their visit to Newtown, Giffords and Kelly met with relatives directly connected to the tragedy. “[The] first couple that we spoke to, the dad took out his cell phone and showed us a picture of his daughter and I just about lost it, just by looking at the picture,” Kelly said. “It was just very tough and it brought back a lot of memories about what that was like for us some two years ago.” Giffords and Kelly both own guns and support the Second Amendment, but they denounce the NRA’s hopes to arm schools with security guards and are instead pushing for “common sense” legal changes. For starters, how about comprehensive background checks all around? “Why can’t we… make it more difficult for criminals and the mentally ill to get guns?” asks Kelly, adding that “extended magazines” should be outlawed because they are “only used to kill lots of people.” Giffords still struggles everyday with regular tasks and could only offer a word here and there during the interview, but each spoke volumes: Enough. Hours after dodging a legal bullet in her NYC nightclub assault case, Lindsay Lohan continued her London party spree last night, hitting up swanky Rose Club. Until the wee hours of the morning, obvi. Lindsay Lohan, broke as she is, and facing eight months in jail for myriad probation violations, seems to find the money to go HARD every night. It’s how she rolls. Prosecutors opted to delay proceedings for the nightclub fight Lindsay got into back in November, when she clocked “gypsy” Tiffany Mitchell in the face. Later this month, she faces a hearing for lying to police in connection with her June car crash on the Pacific Coast Highway, and the probation violation therein. Hard to keep it all straight, we know.
