Rosamund Pike Will Make Your Pike Titanic in Wrath of the Titans

Following her naked performance in the acclaimed drama Barney’s Version , UK knockout and former Bond girl Rosamund Pike has announced that she will be joining the cast of Wrath of the Titans , the sequel to the 2010 mythological epic Clash of the Titans . With Alexa Davalos dropping out of the sequel, the role of Hellenic hottie Andromeda opened up and Rosamund jumped at the chance, soregoing her opportunity to appear in the Superman reboot. The 2010 version was non-nude, but the original Clash of the Titans featured a fantastic look at the bare butt and side-boob of Andromeda (played by Judi Bowker ) getting out of the bath. Let’s hope that Rosamund’s portrayal of the mythical heroine is more on an 80’s throwback(-side) than Alexa’s was.

Friday Night Lights’ Zach Gilford on His Big Episode, That Facebook Campaign, and the Series Finale

Friday Night Lights has always has passionate fans, but over the last few weeks, their fervor has been updated for the Facebook age. It’s due in large part to Zach Gilford’s shattering performance in the recent episode “The Son,” which found his character Matt Saracen grappling with his hated father’s death. Perhaps inspired by the grassroots activism that landed Betty White on Saturday Night Live , the website PopEater launched an unofficial Emmy campaign for Gilford (he’d be nominated in the guest actor category, since he went from regular to recurring this past season) and now it’s become a surging Facebook petition that’s brought a spotlight back to the acclaimed but underseen series. As he films an arc of episodes for the show’s fifth (and presumed-to-be final) season, Gilford rang Movieline to talk about filming the tough episode, the things we didn’t see, and what the FNL series finale will (and won’t) have in common with the final episode of lost.

Sarah Palin to Produce Alaska Documentary

The other night, Jay Leno asked Sarah Palin if she had any future TV plans, and she joked that she heard his position opens up every once in awhile. Well it turns out she already has a TV plan of sorts. The former Alaska Governor and Survivor creator Mark Burnett are shopping a new docudrama. Seriously. The TV project features a “planet-Earth-type look” at her home state of Alaska. We have no idea what that means, but it sounds … cool? We’ll assume it refers to the acclaimed Discovery Channel series Planet Earth . Which has sort of already done what they’re describing if so. Anyway. So much Sarah Palin on TV. Not enough hours in the day. Palin and Burnett had a meeting with Fox honchos yesterday, and are talking with ABC and CBS today and NBC Universal tomorrow. So this is legit. Other documentaries we’d love to see from Sarah Palin: The Height of Hypocrisy : A Shameless Attempt to Cash in Meghan Stapleton’s Guide to Being a Terrible Publicist A Hockey Mom’s Guide to Strange Baby Names
