Jillian Harris chose Ed Swiderski on the season finale of The Bachelorette this summer, shunning fan favorites Reid Rosenthal and Kiptyn Locke and sparking much debate over whether she made the right choice, given Ed’s alleged cheating . They’ve weathered the storm, however, and will be making an appearance on the January 4 season premiere of The Bachelor to ” advise ” new star Jake Pavelka. Jake, who was rejected by Jillian Harris last season, will get her take on who to boot among first batch of women
ABC’s The Bachelor doesn’t exactly have a strong track record. Through 13 seasons, there have been no marriages and only one couple – last season’s lovebirds Jason Mesnick and Molly Malaney – remain engaged . Before this week’s split by Byron Velvick and Mary Delgado, his partially insane Season Six final rose recipient, there were two.
After five years together, former star of The Bachelor Byron Velvick and Mary Delgado have split up , the sixth season star confirmed late Wednesday. The couple got engaged on the show’s November 2004 finale, where he proposed in Spanish so her parents, watching at home, could understand
Last season on The Bachelorette , Jillian Harris passed on three different Mr. Perfects – Jake Pavelka, Reid Rosenthal and Kiptyn Locke – in favor of a guy who was sending booty call texts to half the women in Chicago while on the show

Former star of The Bachelor Aaron Buerge, whose engagement to Helene Eksterowicz ran its course really freaking fast in 2002, completed his remarkable romantic turnaround by marrying Angye McIntosh last weekend in Springfield, Mo. “They seemed genuinely excited to tie the knot,” says a guest who saw, 35, a banker and restaurant owner, marry McIntosh, 33, a commercial insurance agent. “Obviously, Angye was beautiful
At the end of the second season of The Bachelor, Aaron Buerge presented the final rose – and a ring – to elementary school psychologist Helene Eksterowicz.
But as the year 2002 came to an end, so did their romance.
That’s pretty standard for The Bachelor, but at least his happy ending is at last here. Now, in 2009, Aaron Buerge has finally found a mate in Angye McIntosh.
“Long story short, I got mustard on her the first time we met,” says Buerge, a restaurant owner who met McIntosh in their hometown of Springfield, Mo.
It’s Aaron Buerge’s first marriage – and his first proposal since his televised one seven years ago. But he’s not walking down the aisle with any hesitation.
“I’d like to have a family,” he says. “I’m not getting any younger. At this point, when you’re in your mid-30s, the drama of dating has gone away.”
So much so, in fact, that he met Angye McIntosh through an ex-flame.
“My ex-girlfriend and I thought we would get together for some beers with some other people, and that’s how I met Angye,” Buerge says.
Congratulations to the happy couple! We wish the best for them, as well as for the two latest, still-together pairings from The Bacheloruniverse, Jason Mesnick and Molly Malaney and Jillian Harris and Ed Swiderski.
Now that Ed Swiderski and Jillian Harris are together, and the dust has settled after the memorable season of The Bachelorette that ended in their engagement, speculation is already swirling over who will be the next star of The Bachelor .
