Hate It Or Love It? The Game Helped New York Voters Get To The Polls Earlier Today

He said he didn’t care if you were voting for Obama or Mittens… he just wanted to make sure those affected by Sandy were able to vote. According to TMZ : Rapper The Game isn’t letting New Yorkers use Hurricane Sandy as an excuse not to vote today — in fact, he tells TMZ, he’s already shelled out $10,000 to 500 voters stranded by the storm … in order to help them make it to the polls. Game tells us, the money was intended to help voters who were hit hard by last week’s disaster to pay for gas or another form of transportation in order to cast their ballot. And get this — Game says he’s so committed to the cause … he even helped shuttle people to the polls in his own car. By the way, Game … who lives in LA, says he voted by absentee ballot — and claims he’s not doing this to influence people to vote for President Obama. He says O doesn’t need the help. What do you think about celebs stepping in during election time?? Images via TMZ

Chris Brown (Maybe) Disses Drake Again in New "Celebration" Track With Game

Chris Brown is apparently using a new collaboration with Game and other artists to slam hip-hop (and possibly romantic) rival Drake … what else is new. On Drake’s recent collaboration with 2 Chainz, “ No Lie ”, he raps, “If I take you out of the picture/I know real real gon’ miss ya/No lie, no lie, no lie-ee-i-ee-i.” Now, in what would have to be quite a coincidence, Chris borrows those lyrics to hammer Drake on a track with Game and Wiz Khalifa called “Celebration.” Game ‘Celebration’ Ft. Wiz Khalifa, Chris Brown, Tyga, Lil Wayne CB raps on the new track: “And if you wanna roll, have the best night of your life, no lie, no lie/Me and you together girl I’m celebrating you tonight.” On the recent Drake and Aaliyah release, ” Enough Said ,” he allegedly took a shot at Chris, while Breezy referenced Drizzy in ” I Don’t Like ” as well. So it goes. The stars have reportedly been at odds over Rihanna for some time, and came to blows (or bottles) during an epic NYC nightclub melee this spring. Real or imaginary, or somewhere in the middle, this is a beef that may never be quashed. We anxiously await Drake’s next alleged lyrical response. I’m a card-carrying member of …

The Game Threatens to Fight Bottle-Throwing Fan … Live in Concert!

The Game’s concert in Norway got ugly last night when the rapper dodged a flying bottle. Not taking kindly to the near miss, he went into the crowd after the guy! Game first warned the person, “Next time you throw something, I’m gonna ask someone next to you who threw it and we gon’ jump over there and f–k you up.” That apparently didn’t do the trick, since he charged into the crowd soon after. In the clip below, The Game can be heard saying, “You ain’t so tough now, boy.” He then returned to the stage very quickly, so we’re thinking no one ended up worse for the wear. Conflict resolution at its best. Check out the live exchange: The Game vs. Fan

Taraji Henson On Her 2009 Oscar Nomination: “I’m Glad I Didn’t Win”

View original post here:

Taraji P. Henson covers the latest issue of YRB magazine where, inside, she talks about the struggles Black actors face, her relationship with Tyrese and why she’s happy to have not won an Oscar yet. On her Oscar-nominated role as a foster mother to Brad Pitt in The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button : I really am glad that I didn’t win the Oscar that year. [African-American actors] have already won awards for playing those types of characters. I’m ready for us to win by [acting in] a comedy or a love story or just something different than the norm. On Tyrese and their rumored relationship: He’s like my brother, for real. That would just seem really weird for the two of us to suddenly get together. On Baby Boy : Baby Boy wasn’t just a black movie. Everyone can relate to a baby boy to some degree. He is not a color; he’s a person. I remember when John Singleton (the film’s director) sat both myself and Tyrese down in the beginning of filming and told us that he wanted to make a film that people would want to watch 17 times, and judging by how much it has been in rotation, I think John’s mission is accomplished.” On her new show “Person Of Interest” : I really don’t like doing television because I get bored, but when you get a call from a writer of the caliber of Jonathan Nolan ( The Dark Knight ), you kinda can’t say no to that. They really thought outside of the box when they considered me. Jonathan knew of my work and really wanted to work on a project with me. This is a three-person lead television show, and normally people don’t even think of an African-American in that context, but he thought of me right away, and so I decided to carpe diem and seize the moment. On her style icons: I have always thought Lena Horne, Elizabeth Taylor and Marilyn Monroe had amazing style. The things they wore were timeless, and could transcend time. The Game to "Pretend" Gays: Quit Spreading AIDS!

The Game is not smart. This is nothing new. Still, with his belief that closeted gay men are spreading AIDS by “fooling” women into having sex with them, well, he’s even less bright than we thought. In an interview with VLADTV, he says he doesn’t have a problem with gay men … save for the ones “pretending” not to be gay and sleeping with women. Seriously, his words: The Game Speaks on AIDS “The #1 issue with that is you could be fooling somebody and you could give them AIDS and they can die … and that s**t spreads,” says the rapper. “That girl you might be fooling might leave you,” he adds as a cautionary tale, and “go find another dude who ain’t gay and give him the disease.” Basically, in the mind of Game, all closeted gay men not only have AIDS, they best come out, so people know to avoid them unless they want AIDS. Spoken like a true PSA, no?
