Nicki Minaj covers the April 2012 Issue of Allure Magazine. In the interview, she talks about coming for Jay-Z’s spot and how she loses weight WITHOUT exercise. Check out a few excerpts from the interview here. When asked about “dethroning” Jay-Z Nicki had this to say: “I never thought about music as just being the end-all, be-all. I always looked at it like a business, something that I could create an empire out of…. I had a little conversation with Jay-Z at the Victoria’s Secret fashion show. He said, ‘Congratulations on all your success.’ And I was like, ‘Yeah, I’m coming for you. I’m coming for your spot, Mr. Mogul.’” When asked how she stays fit Nicki says: “I’m naturally petite, but I definitely struggle with keeping those extra pounds off. And I hate working out. I can’t stand being on a treadmill. That mentally irks me. When I need to lose a few, I just cut out sugar and starch.”

Rhymes With Snitch Brandy has often said that Whitney Houston was her inspiration to sing. Whitney and Brandy became close after Whitney played Brandy’s fairy godmother in a 1997 Cinderella TV movie. Whitney died on Brandy’s birthday and Brandy is completely destroyed… Brandy tells Us Weekly, “My heart is destroyed. I lost my idol and dear friend. My prayers go out to Whitney’s family and her millions of fans around the world. Whitney – the greatest voice of all time – you are my angel and I will always and forever love you.”

Chaka told Piers, “I thought that was complete insanity. I don’t know what could motivate a person, to have a party, in a building, where the person, whose life he had influenced so enormously, and whose life had been affected by her…I don’t understand how that party went on.”
