Kim Kardashian and Gabriel Aubry dating

Kim Kardashian, 30, and the model Gabriel Aubry, 34, sat next to each other at Sunday night’s L.A. Lakers game at the Staples Center against the Golden State Warriors. “They’ve been dating a little bit,” says a source. Halle Berry has already moved on with Olivier Martinez, and now her ex Gabriel Aubry has a new interest of his own – Kim Kardashian. The pair walked in together and were joined by Kardashian’s mom Kris Jenner.

Palin Counsels Christine O’Donnell: ‘Speak Through Fox News’

Sarah Palin appeared on Bill O'Reilly's show last night to discuss the internal GOP debate over how to welcome Christine O'Donnell to the party stage. Palin had previously appeared on the network and spoken out against Karl Rove's dour comments about O'Donnell's election prospects (which he's since walked back). O'Reilly tried to smooth things over with a can't-all-us-paid-Fox-employees-just-get-along tone, and Palin ended by offering O'Donnell some branding advice. “Well it wouldn't be prudent of me either to get into a tussle with Karl Rove, as you say,” Palin told O'Reilly. “But what the heck, lets go ahead and do it.” “Some of these good ol' boys — and I have nothing against Karl Rove personally, you know, he's the expert — some of these folks, they are saying that people like Christine O'Donnell and other tea party Americans can't win because they don't want them to win,” Palin said. “I think that some of those in the hierarchy of the political machine — on both sides of the aisle — they are very much into control and titles and egos in everything else.” She couched these comments by saying that she didn't believe any of these things about Karl Rove, of course. “You and she and Rove are sympatico in your positions,” O'Reilly offered, as Palin nodded in agreement. O'Reilly asked if she didn't agree with Rove on O'Donnell's electability. Palin wouldn't bite. “I grant you that she's going to have to learn very quickly to dismiss what some of her handlers want,” Palin said. “Go with her gut, get out there, speak to the American people, speak through Fox News, and let the independents who are tuning into you let them know what it is that she stands for.” Ah, finally, something we can all agree on. added by: TimALoftis

Mosquitos From Climate Change Hell Chasing Midwesterners Back Inside

Biting female mosquito. Image credit:James Gathany/CDC , via the Gazeteer Extra. Fear of disease is such a strong motivator. And most people hate insects,. Hence, you will occasionally see reference to the risk of climate-led outbreaks of mosquito-borne diseases like encephalitis or West Nile as a way to get people to pay attention to climate change. That fear-factor didn’t materialize in the political game, nor should it. (Mosquito species which spread those particular diseases do not grow more numerous with passing flood waters.) Watch the TV Role That Robert Duvall Thinks is Better Than Any Film He’s Made

While making the promotional rounds this morning for his film Get Low , Robert Duvall mentioned in two separate interviews that his best work didn’t come from any of the five films that earned him Oscar nominations or even the one film that earned him an actual Academy Award ( Tender Mercies ). Instead, Duvall singled out an ’80s television project.

REVIEW: Farewell, the Week’s Other Spy Film, Explores Human Toll of Espionage

Farewell, a cold war drama by the French director Christian Carion, isn’t just a movie set in 1981; in many ways it feels like a movie made in 1981. Unflashy and unpretentious, laid out before us in a modest, slightly grayed-out Eastern Bloc color palette, the picture moves tentatively at first: It slumps into action, rather than springing into it. But scene by scene Carion, working from a true story, builds a spy story that focuses more on the human costs of betraying one’s country than on the political fallout. To put it another way, if one man’s leaking of a few maps and documents can precipitate the downfall of a country, just think what it could do to his family.

Tea Party what? Yeah, I thought so …

I was pretty sure all along that the Tea Party was a fabrication of FOX News, but it was nice to see it proven this morning when I read the news wires. Even though there is much to do, it is nice to know that racism and greed are not ideals that can win in the political arena. Bob Schieffer breaks down why the Tea Party doesn't stand a chance … http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/video/2010/06/09/VI2010060902056.ht… added by: greendiggler

Michael Bay Denied Permission to Destroy Washington, D.C.

It’s a great day to be alive in Washington, D.C. ! The primary-election aftermath has the political atmosphere abuzz, Nationals rookie Stephen Strasburg just made arguably the best pitching debut in Major League history, and the National Park Service dutifully declined Michael Bay’s requests to stage a couple weeks of extravagant Hollywood spectacle in one of the country’s most historic, hallowed locations.

Moving On Up Means More Invasive Species

Open borders, free trade, population growth, and wealth are all serious drivers for the spread of invasive species. Image credit: Kecko /Flickr The open borders of the European Union, it is argued, make the natural shift of populations&mash;from places with few jobs to those with more opportunities—a simpler prospect. Plant and animal species, of course, have never been bound by the political confines of national borders, but new research has shown that increases in human populations and the spread of wealth may be powerful driving forces in the spread of invasive species…. Vera Baker and Barack Obama

According to reports, Vera Baker and Barack Obama came closer first time when Vera Baker, the political aide, was working day and night to raise millions for Obama’s US senate campaign. Although, the Vera Baker and Barack Obama scandal surfaced in 2008, it did not get much attention in the absence of some evidence. The alleged presence of some security video has changed the scenario and surfacing of any such video (If it exists) would shake not only the American Presidency but President’s famil
