Jessica Alba Makes A Case For Why Beyonce and Jay-Z Should Sell Baby Blue’s Photos… Make That Baby Rich!

Jessica Alba isn’t telling BeyBey what to do or anything, but she does have some motherly advice — sell Baby Blue’s photos to the highest bidder and make that baby rich off money SHE earned. Mother of two Jessica Alba has some advice for new parents Beyoncé and Jay-Z. Alba suggests that the celebrity couple make a deal to sell the first photos of daughter Blue Ivy Carter and either put the proceeds in a trust fund or donate the money to charity. Alba tells CNN’s A.J. Hammer that her decision, made with husband Cash Warren, to sell the first photos of daughter Honor Marie Warren in 2008 was the right move. Alba reportedly received $1.5 million from OK! magazine for the deal. “For our family, we just wanted to control the experience,” Alba explained. “We put the money that the picture made into a bank account for Honor to do whatever she wants to do with. It’s her picture, it’s her birth, and we didn’t want it to be like a weird thing when we were walking out of the house for the first time.” Alba says that selling the first picture cut down on paparazzi feverishly trying to snap pics of the newborn. “If there’s a price tag on your child — which is so bizarre — people will go to crazy lengths,” said Alba. “We wanted to avoid that hysteria.” Alba also reveals that shooting the images for OK! magazine was a great experience. “We were friends with the photographer. It was just a nice day in the house. We’ll have those beautiful pictures forever,” Alba said. “You can give the money to charity and to your baby and that’s it.” But Alba isn’t trying to force the decision on Beyoncé and Jay-Z. “To each his own,” she said. “The biggest thing is having a healthy baby … I’m sure Beyoncé will make the best decision for her family.” Alba has recently launched a line of eco-friendly household products, called The Honest Company, inspired by wanting to use the safest products around her two daughters. She makes a good point, granted the Knowles-Carters don’t need the money… But we can think of a few reasons why they should listen to Jessica. It would put a stop to the rampant photoshopping of fake Baby Blue pictures like the ones 50 Cent posted. And there’s plenty more where those came from. Keep clicking to see some of our faves!

In Hatin’ A$$ White Folks News: Political “Talking Head” Bill Maher Says He Supports SOPA Because Of “Religulous” Piracy!

SMH! In perhaps what was the biggest surprise of his show tonight, Bill Maher defended the proposed Stop Online Piracy Act, even as the bill has been temporarily shelved, arguing that “there is a moral dimension” to online piracy and dismissed concerns that the bill would harm internet freedom as a “red herring.” He jokingly called online piracy “caucasian looting” and insisted that even if pirates are ‘just because you’re sitting at your computer in your pajama bottoms doesn’t mean you’re not stealing.” Maher admitted that he has not read the proposed legislation, which could penalize websites that merely link to infringing material, but he explained that his more hawkish views in the piracy debate came from his reaction to online users downloading illegal copies of Maher’s comedy-documentary Religulous. Maher claimed so many people downloading the film ate into its profits. However, Republican presidential candidate Buddy Roemer came out strongly against it, arguing the whole point of the bill was to give the government more power to manage the internet. Matt Lewis, contributor for The Daily Caller, brought up the controversial provision of SOPA, that if a link to any pirated material is found on a website and someone (like a copyright holder) makes a complaint, the government could take the website down in response. And with Jennifer Granholm getting applause for her praise of internet advocacy, Maher was alone in voicing any support for the bill, quipping that the protestors’ main goal was “We want more free isht!” So the only reason he’s supporting this over-reaching act that would shut down the internet forever as we know it is because he lost a few bucks on his movie that no one went to see anyway?? Another Day, Another Shady NYPD Shooting: One-Time Murks Armed Man In Front Of His House As He Was Trying To Protect His Crib

This is still happening , NYC? Police shot and killed an armed man whose girlfriend said had gone outside in his pajamas to check on a possible break-in at his Brooklyn home Thursday night. Dwayne Browne, 27, was shot once in the chest about 10:40 p.m. outside 943 Schenck Ave. in East New York and died at Brookdale Hospital at 11:46 p.m., police said. “The officers told me they had to shoot him,” said his girlfriend, who gave only her first name, Juanita. “They kept calling him the shooter. The officer said, ‘I’m sorry. It was one of us. But he wouldn’t put the gun down.’” Juanita said she hadn’t seen him with a gun. But Deputy Commissioner Paul Browne, the NYPD’s top spokesman, said a firearm was recovered at the scene. A police source said Dwayne Browne was shot by an officer who responded to a scuffle outside the two-family home. The source said the scuffle involved two men trying to force a third person through the front door. City Councilman Charles Barron (D-Brooklyn), who said he was briefed by police, said a woman who witnessed that confrontation called 911 and later told cops the duo ran away as officers were arriving. Juanita said she and Browne were watching “The Resident,” a thriller, when they heard noises outside. “He looked through the blinds before he went downstairs,” she said. “He said he saw two people running away. It sounded like someone was trying to break in. He went downstairs to check it out. I heard one gunshot. “He came back upstairs and he was bleeding,” she said. “He looked at me and said, ‘Baby, I’ve been shot.’” At that point, Juanita said, cops rushed into the apartment and one officer pointed a gun at her head and refused to help Browne. “His chest was moving up and down,” she remembered. “He was fighting for his life. “They wouldn’t help him.” Shoot first, ask questions last, huh? Race Matters: Is New Orleans’ New Curfew In The French Quarter Really Meant To Keep Black Folks Away From The Tourists??

This is a tough one to gauge… From a distance, it seemed like common sense: an ordinance meant to keep children away from an open-air night-life zone with more than 350 places to buy booze, an abundance of strip joints and a 300-year-old reputation for iniquity. But last week, as the New Orleans City Council approved a strict curfew for youths 16 and younger in the French Quarter, it sparked an incendiary debate that laid bare some of the tensions over race and police priorities that the Louisiana city — which suffers from the nation’s highest per capita murder rate — is struggling to resolve as it navigates its post-Hurricane Katrina future. The ordinance, which was unanimously approved Thursday, revises a long-standing 11 p.m. curfew on Friday and Saturday nights to 8 p.m. for the French Quarter and part of the nearby Faubourg Marigny neighborhood. In the rest of the city, an 11 p.m. curfew remains on weekends, with an 8 p.m. or 9 p.m. curfew on weekdays, depending on the season. Councilwoman Kristen Gisleson Palmer, whose district includes the French Quarter, wrote the ordinance. The goal, she said, was to protect children from violent incidents like the headline-grabbing shootings last Halloween night, in which two people were killed and a dozen injured by gunfire on or around the packed Bourbon Street party strip. “If we can, in any way, protect children from that, I think it’s very reasonable,” Palmer said. But in a pair of emotional public meetings, a number of residents, most of them African Americans, criticized the idea. Some alleged that the lawmakers were trying to keep low-income blacks out of the sightlines of tourists. “There is this desire not to have these black males in the French Quarter,” said Tracie L. Washington, an attorney who heads the Louisiana Justice Institute, a nonprofit civil rights group. Palmer, who is white, dismissed the allegations. At the council meeting Thursday, critics said the curfew would result in racial profiling of young blacks. One man called it “the equivalent of a black code.” Another African American speaker said that instead of “sugar-coating” the issue, the council should “just tell us straight up — you don’t want us.” Some worried that police would harass black kids going to and from restaurant jobs, or when they were busking or tap-dancing for tips from tourists. Palmer, the councilwoman, said those kids would be left alone because the ordinance exempts, among others, people at work or headed to and from work. Many critics argued that the new curfew hours would seem more fair if they were enforced citywide. Palmer said her staff was working on a new ordinance to do just that. Ronal Serpas, the city’s police superintendent, said he had asked his officers to be more diligent about enforcing the existing citywide curfew since he took charge of the police department in May 2010. Some French Quarter residents have applauded the new curfew, but other New Orleanians wonder whether police, in enforcing the rules, will be distracted from more crucial duties. In many cases, youths breaking the curfew will be told to go home, but in some instances police might take them into custody. Do you think the curfew is racially motivated ? Source More On Bossip! Cover Girls: Little Keke Talks Swirling, Being Jailbait With Her Mom’s Blessing And Playing A Freak For The First Time

Aaaaaw! Akeelah’s all grown up and junk! This month, Keke Palmer is sharing the third digital cover of Vibe Vixen with Tracy Ellis Ross , and in her feature spread Keke reveals all types of stuff we didn’t know about her. Like the fact that she has a Latino boyfriend… and she met him when she was 15… and he was 19. On meeting her boyfriend… One day Patrick [Johnson, Jr.] came to the set of True Jackson VP, and he brought Rodney, my boyfriend, with him. My mouth dropped when I saw him, and I’m just like, Keke, control yourself! [Laughs] I was 15 years old at the time, and he was 19, so we didn’t talk or anything like that. I just always had a huge crush on him. Then when I was like 17, I talked to my parents ’cause my mom was like, ‘If you want to date somebody, I guess the oldest age would be 21.’ I just couldn’t believe that she said that to me. It really almost made my heart skip a beat because I always liked him. That sounds like a “Now that you’re of age, here’s what we’re gonna tell people happened” story to us… Hit the flip for more about this slightly craddle-robbing character, including a picture.

Shook Ones: Katy Perry Wanted Russell Brand To File For Divorce So She Wouldn’t Disappoint Her Uber-Religioius Parents!

Uhhh, oookaaaaay… According to TMZ reports : Katy Perry WANTED Russell Brand to file the court papers in their divorce … because she didn’t want to upset her religious parents … sources connected to the former couple tell TMZ. We’re told … Katy and Russell knew the relationship was on the rocks a couple of months ago — but didn’t want to give up on the marriage without making a concerted effort to work things out. But the effort fell flat … with both sides feeling “it just wasn’t there.” We’re told both Katy and Russell were on board with the divorce a few weeks ago — but they didn’t want to be in town when the papers were filed … so he went back to England and she booked it to Hawaii. Since Katy’s parents are evangelical Christians, we’re told she didn’t want to be the one to “officially” end the marriage by filing the docs … since she was raised to believe divorce is wrong. After he filed the docs, Russell released a statement Friday insisting the two will “remain friends.” Katy, if your parents would be upset at your divorce, how disappointed were they when they saw these…
