Rihanna’s Mother Says She Approves Of Chris Brown Relationship Despite all the constant drama and endless controversy surrounding Rihanna deciding to reunite with the boyfriend who beat boxed her face four years ago while the world watched it all unfold, there’s one important person who says she thinks it’s the right decision: Rihanna’s mother Monica. via The Hollywood Life Rihanna’s mother, Monica Braithwaite, is supporting her daughter’s relationship with Chris Brown. In Rihanna’s recent Rolling Stone interview, her mother was asked her opinion on her daughter’s relationship. No matter what anyone else thinks of her daughter, Monica believes in Rihanna’s ability to make the right decisions. “I know her,” said Monica. “I’m very proud of her.” Monica believes that her daughter is headed in the right direction and is very conscience of the decisions she is making. “She has her head on straight. I have to let her make her decisions, and I can only sit back and hope and pray for the best,” said Monica. Monica’s decision to support her daughter throughout her roller coaster relationship with Chris just adds to the constant motherly love she provides to Rihanna. Monica tells Rolling Stone that she is amazed by her daughter’s ability to make the right decision. While it’s always important for mothers to support their children even when it seems that the rest of the world is against them, momma Rih-Rih has to have some reservations about her daughter running back into the arms of her former abuser. But what caused JoJo to ever begin drinking? Is he ready to stop? And how has abuse affected Tashaunda as a mother and her relationship with JoJo? Jamie: Do you remember starting with alcohol? JoJo: You know, it’s been so long. Ever since Jodeci had their first hit, that’s when everything started spiraling downward. I mean with the whole band, individually and as a group. From then on I really didn’t have no feelings about it. It was just party and BS. But I didn’t think it was taking a toll on me until the first time that I said I wasn’t going to drink anything, and I fell into a seizure. So that was like a withdrawal. Jamie: This is really something. Do you have problems with your liver or anything now? JoJo: The only thing that’s going on with me now—and I thank God I’m still here able to talk to you again—is my pancreas. I drank so much until a small part of my pancreas had ate away. That’s no pain you want to feel. I wouldn’t wish that on my worst enemy. Jamie: If you were to start all over today, knowing what you know now, what would you do or not do? JoJo: Knowing what I know now, I don’t think I would have been in Jodeci. S2S also asked his wife about her temptation to kick JoJo’s azz to the curb. Jamie: Tiny was it difficult loving him through this? JoJo: Good question. I want to know the answer to this. Jamie: Because that’s hard on you. He’s not even who he is when he’s drinking. Tashaunda: Right. There have been some difficult moments where I felt like running away but I know that there’s this beautiful person in there and he’s hiding behind alcohol. If you marry somebody, you love them unconditionally. It’s not just something that you can just walk away from. Female Pro-Gun Activist Say Mothers Need Assault Weapons To Protect Children Via HuffingtonPost Lawyer and gun rights supporter activist Gayle Trotter gave vivid testimony to the Senate Judiciary Committee at a Wednesday hearing on gun violence. Trotter, a senior fellow at the conservative Independent Women’s Forum, argued that a proposed ban on assault weapons would “disarm” vulnerable women and “put them at a severe disadvantage” in fights with multiple criminals. Trotter painted a picture of mothers under assault in their homes, and when Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse (D-R.I.) questioned the details of one example she offered, she told the lawmaker he didn’t understand the issue. “You are a large man, tall man, a tall man,” Trotter said to laughter from the audience. “You are not a young mother who has a young child with her and … you cannot understand. You are not a woman stuck in her house, not able to defend her children, not able to leave her child, not able to go seek safety, on the phone with 911,” Trotter said. And that woman, “she’s not used to being in a firefight.” Despite arguing for serious firepower, Trotter said later the most important thing about assault weapons for women’s defense is the way the guns look. “An assault weapon in the hands of a young woman defending her babies in her home becomes a defense weapon,” said Trotter, a mother of six. “And the peace of mind she has … knowing she has a scary-looking gun gives her more courage when she’s fighting hardened violent criminals.” Sorry lady, but we just can’t buy that you will be unable to protect your children with a 10-shot pistol as opposed to an AK-47. Garcia-Calle is being held without bond and will likely appear at an extradition hearing on Monday, court officials said. She is charged with sexual assault in the 2nd degree and child abuse, according to the U.S. Marshals Service. A Kean University graduate, Garcia-Calle has been teaching math at Plainfield High School since 2008, according to her classroom website. In a report that appeared on the website mycentraljersey.com, authorities in New Jersey began investigating after the student told a family member about his relationship with the teacher. Family members then contacted police, according to the news site. The sex encounters took place in her classroom during school hours, Union County Prosecutor Theodore J Romankow told the newsite. “What made this particularly … unusual is that they actually had sex in school, in her classroom,” Romankow said. “Evidently they blocked the windows and locked the door.” Well at least she has acknowledged the fact she has a problem. Looks like crime doesn’t pay! Casey Anthony Files For Bankruptcy Via RadarOnline reports: The filing in the Middle District of Florida Bankruptcy Court came on the same day two of her convictions for lying to law enforcement officials during their investigation into the death of her daughter, Caylee, were thrown out. In 2011, Anthony was found not guilty of murdering her two year-old daughter in a trial that riveted the country. Responding to the bankruptcy filing, the attorney representing Zenaida Gonzalez in her defamation case against Anthony called it nothing more than a delay tactic. But, said Matt Morgan, “we are not deterred and will stay the course.” Anthony’s Chapter 7 Bankruptcy filing listed $1,084 in personal property and $792,119.23 in liabilities. And she provided a fascinating list of nearly 100 people and companies who have claims or possible claims against her. They include her former attorney Jose Baez for $500,000, the IRS in the amount of $68,540 and the Orange County (FL) Sheriff’s Office for $145,660.21. Her own parents are listed without a specific amount. “This is the next step towards closure for me,” Anthony told CBS affiliate KPHO. Of the now-stalled Gonzalez trial, she said, “These are the things holding me back. This is the key for me to move forward.” Charles Greene, the civil attorney defending Anthony in the Gonzalez lawsuit, told the station “Casey hoped the case would be over in January. This has been an ongoing battle for close to five years. Emotionally and physically, she can’t go on for another year. She needs a clean slate from a financial perspective.” The goal of the bankruptcy is to give Casey a fresh start financially, said Greene, who added she has no financial windfall projects pending. “There are no contracts, no movie or book deals,” he said. Karma is a beyotch and she doesn’t pay well either!

Ohio Couple Admits To Keeping Their Children In Duct Taped Plastic Boxes It’s one thing to punish children when they act a fool so that they know not to do it again, but this Ohio couple took it entirely too far. via CBS News An eastern Ohio couple pleaded guilty Tuesday to child endangerment charges after they forced their three children into plastic storage boxes sealed with duct tape and leaving only a square cut in the top for air. A prosecutor said the children, ages 5, 6 and 8, were crammed into the boxes on June 16, 2012 as punishment while the parents went to the grocery store and left two uncles at home with them. A friend of the family arrived at the Steubenville home, got the children out of the boxes and contacted police. Authorities said the children were in the boxes for about 15 to 30 minutes, with square holes cut out of the lids to expose the top part of their faces. Their father, James Taylor, pleaded guilty to two counts of child endangerment and one count of unlawful restraint. The plea deal calls for a year in jail. His wife, Samantha Taylor, the children’s stepmother, pleaded guilty to the same charges and will likely serve two years of probation. These poor thangs.
