Just days after being hospitalized for mild kidney failure , the TV personality let his fans know he’s ready to put it all behind him. Cannon took to Twitter to post a photo of himself in the hospital, getting his hair cut. He tweeted simply, “getting back to business.” He later took to the social networking site to promote some of his pals who were DJing in Los Angeles. One of Cannon’s DJ friends spoke to People.com about his condition. “I was beyond shocked when I learned Nick had a kidney issue,” DJ Irie said. “Of all the people, he is healthy beyond belief. He does not drink, he eats healthy and he works out regularly.” The cause of Cannon’s kidney failure is still unknown, and his friend reiterated just how well he takes care of himself. “Nick practices all of these healthy habits every day of his life,” he said. “But he is rational and smart and taking care of it by being in the hospital, where he belongs now.” Cannon was transferred to an L.A.-area facility after initially being hospitalized in Aspen, where he was vacationing with his wife, Mariah Carey, and their twins, Moroccan and Monroe. “As always, he’s in good spirits considering the situation,” Carey said about her hubby, noting that he was “in a lot of pain” and that “the situation is not easy. As previously reported, Nick Cannon was admitted to as Aspen hospital last night due to what his wife has described as ” mild kidney failure .” What is the prognosis for the America’s Got Talent host? In a follow-up statement to People , Mariah Carey says she isn’t certain, but adds that Cannon is in “good spirits,” although “the situation is not easy” and he’s in “a lot of pain.” “We are hopeful that he’ll be 100 percent as soon as possible,” Carey says . “We really appreciate everybody’s love and support.” Cable is in stable condition and is being transferred to a facility in Los Angeles. I’m not sure if having someone post a picture of a magazine on Twitter is exactly breaking news or anything, I’m sure there’s something more interesting going on in the world, but this is the situation we’re in. This is apparently a shot of the cover of Lindsay Lohan’s Playboy issue. Exciting isn’t it? As expected, it looks like it’s going to be a pretty boring edition. Come on, these celebrity editions always are. We’re not going to see anything spectacular. Although, I am looking forward to seeing those big breasts of hers with those annoying freckles airbrushed out.
Former CSI actor Gary Dourdan was arrested over the weekend for breaking his ex-girlfriend’s nose after they got into a fight at his home. According to TMZ Maria Asis del Alamo, an ex-girlfriend of the bad boy CSI actor visited his home on Sunday night and the situation quickly escalated with Gary reportedly breaking her nose. The police received a call at around 9pm and were dispatched to his house in Venice, but the woman had already left by the time they arrived. But it doesn’t end there, while the cops were at the house investigating the situation, they received another call saying that a woman was distressed in a nearby alleyway and when they arrived they found it was the ex-girlfriend. Dourdan was arrested and booked for felony battery. He’s being held on $50,000 bail. In case you missed it, Maria Asis del Alamo was arrested for a misdemeanor domestic battery charge for giving Gary a beat down.
