Pope under fire for transfer, letter on sex abuse

Germany's sex abuse scandal has now reached Pope Benedict XVI: His former archdiocese acknowledged it transferred a suspected pedophile priest while Benedict was in charge and criticism is mounting over a 2001 Vatican directive he penned instructing bishops to keep abuse cases secret. The revelations have put the spotlight on Benedict's handling of abuse claims both when he was archbishop of Munich from 1977-1982 and then the prefect of the Vatican office that deals with such crimes — a position he held until his 2005 election as pope. A high level Republican insider’s take on Sarah Palin.

This comes from an interview conducted by E Online’s Ted Casablanca (Who just recently was virtually tarred and feathered by the Palin-bots for reporting on Sarah’s great “swag grab” right before the Oscars) In this interview Casblanca asks a GOP insider what he thinks of Sarah Palin’s chances in 2012. You can read the entire interview by clicking the title above, but I wanted to direct your attention to this quote in particular: I kind of see her as the Jon Gosselin of politics: Way out of her league, thinks she’s something more than what she really is and is desperate for attention and tongue-bathing. She doesn’t know when to just go away and be quiet for a bit. Okay look I understand that when somebody is constantly seeking the spotlight and putting their personal life on display for all the world to see, like some kind of sideshow freak, that it may seem fair to compare them to one of the most shallow fame whores on the planet. But I just think that this Republican insider was being completely unfair in making this comparison! In other words I think that this man owes John Gosselin an apology!

Anyhow, here she is out the other night looking pretty decent for a chick who’s been out of the spotlight for a decade or so. I think that’s all I’ve got to say about her, how sad. This has always been her problem, she’s hot and all but once she’s gone, we forget she even existed. Like genital warts.

We are together, yes. With those words, spoken at this Sunday night’s BAFTA Awards in London, Robert Pattinson took attention away from his matted hair and placed it squarely back on his relationship with Kristen Stewart. After months of rumors, speculation, innuendo and ridiculous tabloid cover stories , Pattinson spoke publicly for the first time about he and his Twilight Saga co-star. He told Great Britain’s The Sun that he and Kristen have a difficult time dating in the spotlight – but, yes, they are dating. “It is extremely difficult but we are together, yes,” Robert said . “We can’t arrive at the same time because of the fans. It goes crazy. This was supposed to be a public appearance as a couple, but it’s impossible. We are here together and it’s a public event, but it’s not easy. “We have to do all this stuff to avoid attention.” There you have it, folks. There’s been little doubt for a very long time now, but Robsten has been made official. Perhaps the paparazzi can now leave these two alone and let them enjoy their relationship. ROBSTEN LIVES!!!

Next thing you know, Heidi Montag will say her breasts are fake and Jon Gosselin will admit he cares more about attention than his children… In a development only anyone with a pulse could have seen coming, Tila Tequila has insinuated that she’s having a miscarriage. THG predicted the demise of her fake child in late January , as we asked readers to name the date on which the troubled bisexual would start to Tweet about losing her “baby.” Who had February 15 in their office pool? Earlier today, Tila left multiple messages that implied she was on the verge of suicide due to miscarrying her fetus. Neither of these events are joking matters, but this is Tila Tequila. Nothing is off limits if it extends your 15 minutes in the spotlight another second or two… ** UPDATE : Tila will not be killing herself. The reason? She has “been APPROVED to adopt my own baby boy 2-3 years old from RUSSIA!!! I will be his Mommy by the end of the year!!” If this were remotely true, we’d make some joke about it being the worst Russian idea since Communism. Instead, we’ll ask readers to start a new pool: When will this adoption “fall through” for Tila?
